How do we reach the devs? Boycott?

Unless a bug is game breaking it wont be touched. Theyve always prioritized exploits, the next would be pc performance which is not great shocker.

Why are you so hung up on car prices, its an irrelevant factor at this point. The focus is on car points and upgrading, thats the grind. They shouldve made all cars free and it wouldnt negatively affect anything.

Believe me exploits are priority 1. Im pretty sure forza 7 had this very thing patched 1st, but at the time people did it for money.

Just moments ago requested a refund for my Forza Motorsport Premium Add-Ons Bundle. Hopefully it’s going to be eligible.

I’m just so disappointed in T10. In its current state I don’t want anything to do with this new Forza Motorsport. 6-7 years for this…

This whole developing situation reminds me of what SkillUp keeps saying about Redfall and Arkane Studios’ constant attempts to reassure what few fans remain that the game’s not going to be abandoned.

That game’s not going to get fixed. The costs of doing so would be much better invested into a new project. They’re going to deliver what was contractually obligated, and then it’s getting dropped like a rock. And I think the same thing’s going to happen here.

Are you joking or what? You’re onboard with car points and the car pricing? How is it even possible to think like this. This isn’t Need For Speed with free cars, man. This was exactly what I was talking about the Forza community dying out 8 years ago, nobody would’ve said that nonsense back then.

Leveling a car 10 times to level 50 is the equivalent of the affinity/car manufacturer stuff in older Forzas. The affinity stuff in old Forza took MUCH longer than this, the new system is just inconvenient. So doing that as the aim of the game is much slower than what it used to be. The new system makes you lazy because everything is so easy to attain.

So why do you need credits then?

Everything is cheaper and you earn stuff too fast in this game with the car analogy above.

I just don’t get why car pricing was reworked. Before it was accurate based on teal life. A £75k Suv in real life cost £75k in game back in Fm6/Fm4. Cool, nothing to overthink. Why have they given arbitrary prices on everything now. “Oh yeah this £5.5m Ferarri seems alright to be £180k and this £330k Audi is alright at £75k.” Like, it just plain doesn’t make any sense. If you can’t see that this is ridiculous then you haven’t got a clue.

Then they try to relive the old Forza by imitating maxed affinity bonuses being manufacturer cuts on these already cut down stupid prices.

This game is horrendous.

True, but there’s only so much recovery Microsoft will allow, and this game’s coming off the showroom floor with tons of problems, both surface level and in the foundation, and those problems are going to wreak havoc on the brand’s image. They’re going to have to rehabilitate that image eventually, and that’s harder with something that’s so deeply flawed than it is with a clean slate.

Exactly. If they cut the prices by a fixed amount across the entire car list that would atleast be a bit better. Heck a lot better. But they have done it in such a way that prices are yo-yoing around with absolutely 0 thoughts on whether or not this looks finished/solid or even makes sense. They’ve literally just assigned random prices to every car in the game. Not even eyeballing it, they’re just making sure everything is under £500k including the actual multi millon pound cars throwing out the whole ingame economy as if it is normal. To me that is like milk suddenly going from less than £1 to £17.48 then having everything else in the shopping list down to 1p. It’s just so random and weird.

This game couldn’t get any more stupid. No thought has gone into anything. Why is this though? Are they really catering to the idiots who are playing Forza now? Me and all my mates/brothers friends along with the entire community at the time in maybe 2012 back in the Fm4 days would’ve just laughed at this nonsense as 2nd nature. Most people just agree with the new system and complain about stuff like bugs/graphical glitches that will inevitably patched, there is 0 focus on actual major issues with this game that’s supposed to last us over 5 years, what is happening I swear.

Im not for car points, but thats what they added. The length of time it takes to upgrade is going to limit the amount of cars bought. This isnt a car collecting game anymore, you still have the option to do so but thats not what its about supposedly. And Project cars didnt have money and that game was fine that way.

We can’t reach the devs because our feedback is not one of their priority metrics/incentives.

The launch metrics they probably care most about are things like pre-orders, day-one purchases, review scores, first-month player counts, etc., so the game is likely already set to be a “success” by default (especially with all of its Game Pass downloads), no matter how much it’s missing or how problematic it is.

Why would companies bother trying to do better when so many people continue throwing money at them & defending them regardless?

Imagine you’re pitching this game & you publicly announce in advance:
• it has fewer tracks
• it reuses outdated graphical car models
• it locks car upgrades behind a grind-fest
• multiplayer framerate is capped at 60-FPS
• it won’t have the most iconic series/genre staple track (& others) until next year
…etc.

…and yet, despite all that:
• people eagerly rush to pre-order
• people pay extra just to be early beta testers
• people anxiously scramble for timezone-changing tricks to hurry & start playing it as soon as possible
• most “iNfLuEnCeRs” & “GaMiNg MeDiA” outlets are incentivized to delicately sugar-coat their “hOnEsT rEvIeWs,” so the aggregate/average review score across the board will inevitably be quite high
• defenders already started preemptively running interference on forums & social media to shield the game from “NeGaTiViTy” by dismissing all valid feedback as “CrYiNg” & “HaTiNg.”

…LOL why would companies bother even trying at that point? It’s a slam dunk, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they almost break their own arms from patting themselves on the back & high-fiving each other for it.

This is incorrect. You reach the devs by contributing to the SHUB and THUB, which we use to inform them on a regular basis. Voting and replies with details are absolutely important metrics.

And after a year and a half and the departure of several project heads, those developers will finally get around to going through and listening to all of the feedback. That’s all it takes, right? At least, according to recent history.

They’ve had at least 18 years of player feedback, so it seems like if player feedback mattered much for core game design & overall functional quality, this latest installment would have been quite different at launch.

(P.S. - Nothin’ but love for you, my guy. You do great work here, and I’m not trying to bicker with you.)

after reading comments here and on reddit this game seems to be divisive. either you love it or hate it. for me i love it and i will play this for along time. i can overlook some of the flaws and imperfections because the driving is fun (apart from the AI) and the potential is there for it to be so much more than it is now.

Who could’ve thunk the reddit community would be a completely different opinion from the actual dedicated community.
Reddit is who they made the game for. Thats where the devs ACTUALLY go to get feedback.

If they did that, and it wouldn’t surprise me, then that’s their blunder. That subreddit is only good for morbid entertainment, at best. The kids over there downvote anything that looks vaguely like a negative opinion, and with the game releasing, they are out in force. Of course, in a few days or a week - whenever the honeymoon’s over, they’ll disappear and then the fun really starts.

Thats literally what reddit is. A hugbox. For every games subreddit.

It got so bad on the star citizen subreddit that they had to fork it into another subreddit just to have people raise awareness and get help with issues and critically discuss the game.

Sounds like most games/things in general.

I think disappointment is often miscategorized as “hate.”
I think lots of people (myself included) truly want to love these games, but they keep letting us down - usually by taking one small cosmetic step forward (with something like visuals or audio) along with two or more big steps back (with crucial things like game-play).

We have so few simcade options for circuit racing in real-world cars at real-world tracks, and the genre is way overdue for some big leaps forward in terms of game-play.

So you ARE going to get it next week, then? (Playing on gamepass still counts as getting it!)

I shall hunt you down on track, rivals, or wherever my friend! Unless of course you stick to single player…

So you do Builder Cup and Multiplayer then?

It’s gonna be on!
