There’s been several times I’ve done speed X on the 1 mile drag, no issues
I concur that the Kia is easy to drift and Maple Valley is the track to do it on. I dislike drifting and suck at it, but the Forzathom challenges aren’t that difficult. And the Vega was one of the two cars I most looked forward to. 
I have a drift tune for the stinger, slides great, especially around Prague, if you are interested, search my gamer tag
I did more the 6,000 points on Lime Rock in one lap with the Kia pretty easily. The Stinger is actually quite a comfortable car to drift in (much to my initial surprise).
I usually set 10 lap races on a high speed track like Daytonal Tri-Oval. No problems.
The Hotwheeling It Forzathon says: Get a drift score of 8,000 in a single lap of a drift event in the 2005 Hot Wheels Ford Mustang.
Whose brilliant idea was it to make a Forzathon with no event you can complete it in? Can we get a drift event added that the hot Wheels Mustang can actually be used in so we can actually do this Forzathon?

Go to Freeplay, you can play any event with any car you want.

Yup. I do all my Forzathon events in Freeplay unless it needs to be in Rivals or something else.

I’ve completed the challenge in free play as suggested but it hasn’t registered- anyone successfully unlocked the challenge yet?
Cos you are the only one who insists on doing Forzathons in an event.
Just use Freeplay like everyone else and get on with your life.

You have to set the race type to Drift and make sure you stay in till the end then click Continue at the end.

Ahh that’s where I went wrong - I completed the challenge but didn’t wait till the timer ran down 
Decided to run a single lap for the latest X speed one. Hit 170+ at least twice for extended periods as I decided to do it at Le Mans, once again my recorded speed was just under the target so at least 20mph slower than it should have been.
Sometimes I wonder if it’s actually an average over two laps+ and that’s why it rarely gets it first time.
‘X speed one’ - which event is this?
Do you mean the one to reach 160mph in a race? Because I did that in a one lap race. If it’s an event to set a high average speed I can’t see which one it is.
