Forzathon in Motorsport 7

have you changed the race type to drift in the free play settings
are you letting the timer run out and not quitting the race

Sounds like you aren’t doing it in the specific rivals drift event it tells you to.

It worked for me, I got the 7500 in the first lap and quit after the finish line.

*I have no idea whether this site is reputable/good/whatever, it’s just the one I stumbled across when I picked the game up recently and wanted to know how Forzathon worked.

Seems legit, since there is a screenshot of it.

Thanks mate

So what is up with all these crap drifing requirements in Forzathon lately? Drift for 6,000 nearly unobtainable drift points in a Kia of all cars, to win a Vega? Really? Seriously? If I have to do that sorry drifting nonsense there better be something worth it at the end of all that trouble. And a Vega isn’t it by a longshot.

How about no more drift events in Forzathon? Nobody I know likes them and most people just skip any with drifting in them.

Drifting = Crappy slow cars, out of control, pathetic traction and horrendous tire wear. Oh where do I sign up…NOT.

Yeah I have gotten to the point now where I ignore the Forzathons that require drifting. I’m not a drifter and find it a complete pain in the rear to complete said challenges. Id rather spend my time racing how I want.

It’s actually not that hard, no special tuning required. Limerock is good for 8 to 10 k pretty easy for me, and I’m terrible at drifting.

I’ll still skip this one as I have the Vega, don’t need the credits from selling the forzathon car either.

Completed this in under 3 mins not hard at all, also, it seems you know nothing about drift cars if you think “Drifting = Crappy slow cars, out of control, pathetic traction and horrendous tire wear.” Only point you got right is tire wear lol.

But 6,000 is doable in almost every car on one lap of Maple Valley short.

I hate drifting, I only do it for Forzathons so it’s fair to say I’m not all that good at drifting, but the target is low enough that anyone with any skill level should be able to do it.

I don’t know what it is, but when ever there is a “reach X speed” event it will never count for me first time out. It doesn’t matter what track, what car, what speed. The first time will always state I was slower than the target.

It’s quite annoying to do 3/4s of a lap at 220mph only to be told I didn’t meet the target of 190 and only did 117.

If anyone knows why this happens it’d be great to know why…

Noticed the same thing a few events back. I was well beyond the number, but it only registered 60% or so of my peak speed, and had to do it a second time. Not a big thing as it only took three minutes to redo, just weird, really.

I don’t like drifting either, but the forzathon drift challenges are not at all impossible. Even I can consistently hit 10000 in a single lap. I like Maple Valley for these.

Same here on several of the last few Forzathons. I reached well above the required speed and after the first race found that it had registered 30+ MPH below the event requirement. Definitely frustrating, although hoosierider1 is correct, the second time registered properly and it really isn’t that big a deal to redo.

I glad to see this topic because I thought it was just me!

My trick is to record it. If you set up capture to document the attempt to show that it isn’t registering correctly, it will work every time just to make a lair of you.

But seriously, yes, I’ve seen this. The first attempt will not register, and the indicator will show that you only reached, say 178 of your 190 target. First time I noticed it, I was trying to combo 2 speed challenges at once, and neither of them registered. Then I’ll go away, do some of the other challenges, and come back to it, and it’ll work the second time.

Happened to me once, registered second go. Only time I’ve ever noticed it.

Not sure if this applies, but try to keep it clean with no rewinds.

I do most of the speed runs on the tri-oval. On one of them I went well over the target with no rewind, but kept pushing it for no reason until it got squirly and clipped a wall dirtying the lap. No achievement. But running it clean has always worked for me.

I usually skip these but i want the hot wheels thing so tried, never done it till now. Got 7500 on first practice run. With a stock car

I just did this challenge in the Kia. I have to say the Kia is one of the most drift friendly cars (for novices) to do a challenge like this. I knocked 6k out on the first corner.

I’ll probably use this car for all future drift events that don’t have any car restrictions on them.

Maybe the dirty lap is the issue. My first run was dirty, clipped the wall on the last corner of the tri-oval and spun. But even so I was doing 220 at that point and had been for a while.

I think what I might start doing is multiple laps, I’m guessing most of you do 1 lap wonders like I do for these forzathons, so maybe 2 minimum will help?
