Couldn’t find anything standout tune-wise for the Trial so just went with a Saeenu tune on the '93 Mustang, managed a sub 1:20 lap with it on HMC which is a pretty decent time for a C class car on there.

Guy on my team who finished 2nd in both races was atrocious, only in FH could you be rewarded for flying into every corner too fast, every single wall on HMC must have taken a pummelling from their car at some point in the race, hopeless.

I’m sure they corner bombed another teammate at the end of AOM too, when I finished they were in 3rd well behind the other teammate with only the last 2/3 corners left.

And PG enable + encourage it with no penalties for such stupidity outside of Open.

Advice for players struggling with speed zones:
The two corners do not fail if you cut the off-road on the inside.
Start on the west side of the map, cut the first corner and cut the second corner to pass between the two trees.
This way you will probably be able to achieve an average speed that is 10-20 km/h higher.

I’m not surprised by the fact that the devs still didn’t manage to fix that massive menu lag they graciously patched in more than two months ago…

The Ford Mustang SVO isn’t selectable in the Trial even though the AI are using it. Am i missing something?

Double check the pi class. That’s what I used

So Festival Playlist in Series 16 will see us using only like 10% of all cars in the game for four weeks? That’s even worse idea than German Automotive Excellence with similarly limited choice (though not that strict) IMHO

As we all know, the guys and gals at PGG are all serious car enthusiasts and also have their finger on the pulse of the industry so the selected point car rewards for the FORDzathon series leave no doubt that FORD is about to buy Renault!

And the SAIC owned MG cars being rewarded may indicate that the Chinese are about to buy FORD!

Adjust your 401ks accordingly!

Maybe Ford is trying to aquire China?

If they had the Renault license they should’ve kept those 3 models at launch. There was absolutely NO reason for those models to be exclusionary.

I am not thrilled with this series.

I used the Crown Vic with Don’t Give A Duece’s tune. Did 6 Trials and comfortably came first in the first 5 Trials. Had a jerk racer from the Tb#% club who decided that their best way to play was to smash off me every corner and slow me down, hence a 3rd (side smashed last turn) and a 2nd (again side smashing but they overdid it and missed a checkpoint). Due to their antics the player in the 93’ Mustang got too much of a lead and won both races. I really am starting to hate certain players from that club, can’t drive, just smash. Overall though i was very pleased with the Crown Vic. Going to give the Mustang SVO a shot later and see how it pans out.

Smashing the floating lanterns sucked.
FIFTY of the things, spread out, or you are going for the grouped ones (requiring a blind jump): Too far left, too far right, too fast, too slow… argh.

Tbh the German Automotive Excellence series was at least better since it featured quite a good crop of new cars. The car pass certainly helped too, with all new-to-Forza ones. Too bad there were only three playlist cars and one of them was a straight-up rip from FH4.

This update is light-years worse than even Extreme E and Donut Media combined. Appalling.

I’ve been waiting for 7 months for this moment. Now, how do I complete the Happy New Year! accolade?

Knowing PG, they’re just going to give us 1 new-to-Forza car and 4 recycled cars. Maybe if we’re lucky we can get the LC 500 that was in the files.
I know one of them is going to be the SW20 MR2, and the model is horrendous.

EDIT: There’s no article up on the main page for this series for some reason. What’s going on??

Maybe it was part of the anniversary update, a callback to FH4’s random moments of the game just sitting there with nothing happening?

It is starting to get worse, changing cars + setting up events are where it’s been most frequent for me.

Let’s see what missing FH4 cars from Japan we have to choose from:

  • 1970 Honda S800
  • 2015 Honda Ridgeline Baja Trophy Truck
  • 2014 Infiniti Q50 Eau Rouge (?)
  • 2009 Lexus IS F
  • 1972 Mazda Cosmo 110S Series II
  • 1973 Mazda RX-3
  • 1985 Mazda RX-7 GSL-SE
  • 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4
  • 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15R Rally Car
  • 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5
  • 1995 Toyota MR2 GT

Well, choice is quite large (too large). Toyota MR2 seems to be the most popular option among fans (followed by Mazda RX-7 and RX-3), according to number of votes in Suggestions Hub.

Galant has no excuse for not being in the game from launch as it’s a traffic car.

S800, Cosmo, Subaru and the Trophy Truck would be what I’d most like to see out of those.

Who knows though, if this series is anything to go by the new additions for one named after Japan will probably end up being American, German or British cars.
