FESTIVAL PLAYLIST & WORLD

Get ready for four weeks of Ford themed events and rewards on the Festival Playlist with some unique challenges along the way. You’ll experience the incredible impact Ford has made on automotive culture across Seasonal Championships, The Trial, Forzathon, Horizon Open, Photo Challenges and Seasonal PR Stunts.

In our Monthly Rivals, set your fastest lap time on the Horizon Baja Scramble while behind the wheel of the 2017 Ford #14 Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing GRC Fiesta. Meanwhile, on Emerald Circuit, Forza EV showcases the incredible all-electric 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E 1400, developed in collaboration between Ford Performance and RTR Vehicles, founded by Formula Drift champion Vaughn Gittin Jr.

We’re also bringing back the Floating Lanterns collectibles in celebration of the New Year. These are available now through January 12. You’ll need to smash 50 of them to complete the Festival Playlist challenge and unlock “Nocturne” by Keeno for Horizon Mixtape. We recommend checking them out at night-time to see their illuminated glow.

imagine racing for 4 weeks and all you get from it are mid fords that the entire community already owns. how is this acceptable?

I find it annoying that the poll option of how I play the game lumps the auction house in with car collecting. I enjoy car collecting but despise the auction house and the whole in game economy.

It’s a poll about feedback so I’ll give feedback. I agree with @LordErec42. And go one step beyond. The Auction House needs a MAJOR overhaul.

This Series is called FORDzathon but doesn’t have much to do with Ford, does it? We barely get any at all as Series or weekly rewards? Where are they? We get 2 MG’s, 3 Renaults and I forgot the rest (not on Xbox right now). Sure we do get Fords in the other events but still, doesn’t really scream Ford to me.

The German themed Series a while ago was much better in that regard

I haven’t seen the full list yet. If you put it like that it’s definitely Ford related :person_facepalming:

But why not give Fords as the weekly and series rewards then? Still seems weird. I mean, yes they are new cars but they are a bit out of place. They are still welcome though!

In the German series (Series 8) all new cars were related to series theme.
Now, in the Donut Media and Fordzathon series no new addition was/is related to the theme although the devs mentionend they wanted to go away from series numbers and bring the theme in the focus.
I agree with the goal but why then act contrary to it?
Within the limited possibilities of bringing a theme alive through the Playlist the new cars are the main feature.
That’s a major reason why Donut Media absolutely tanked and has been at the bottom of the vote since it aired.

All well and good the events being all in Fords but that doesn’t give it any feeling of being about Ford whatsoever, we’re just doing the same tracks + activities a lot of us have been doing for 14 months now in a different car like in every playlist, using a Ford for my 594th run of Las Laderas didn’t make it distinctly different from the previous 593.

The only thing in each playlist that is properly different is the new additions, it has been that way since FH4, while I appreciate them trying to do these sorts of things with FH5’s playlists there is no way that people will get invested or immersed in the intended theme if the 1 and only unique aspect of a series does not follow that theme.

Just a suggestion: would have been better to grab 19 models and then add “Not Interested in these models or No Preference”. It just helps to avoid the “PGG only wants to hear good news” stigma that came from previous polls and also makes it consistent with other poll question options.

Yup, FORDzathon had a Ford prize car in every single event. And the majority of players at this point in the game will most likely use the “remove from garage” function. Because they are all going to be duplicates.

Maybe, good if you’re new to the game. But how many new players are there?

I skipped the championships the groups of three races this week but did everything else. That left me at 39 points after the first day. But I come back for the dailies on Wednesday each week because I don’t want to drop below 9000 FP

Yep, I can relate. I’ve been checking in for updated rewards on items I’ve missed previously, such as the Mix Tape songs, then I check AH for availability before I grind for the 20 pt reward car. For the last several weeks anyway, I’ve found availability without much problem, so haven’t bothered.

The fact they list out all of these things they are asking what we want addressed most is very telling. They’re aware that all of it needs to be addressed. It shouldn’t need to be addressed, Is the main point. Most of those bulletpoints shouldnt be up there.
“Adding cars” and “evolving word etc…” should be the only two options up there for a completed game. All of that other stuff should have been working well at launch. Its not like its their 10th year and 5th entry to the same game on the same engine or anything.
And we all know basically none of it will actually be fixed before next game release. So this is almost patronizing. Ridiculous.
