Autumn Season Festival Playlist (Series 16 - FORDzathon)

Here are the details on this week’s events and rewards. Share tips along with your tuning setup codes!

The 2020 MG #20 MG6 XPower is this week’s newly added seasonal Exclusive reward car.

AUTUMN | STORM SEASON

The season starts at 6:30am Pacific on January 12th and ends Thursday, January 19, 2023 2:30 PM
This is the second season of FORDzathon (Series 16).

PLAYLIST POINTS

Points are accumulated across all four seasons. Each event in the Festival Playlist has a number of points to earn noted in the bottom left corner of the event tile. Accumulate points with any combination of completed events to earn the first reward car, and continue earning points from remaining events to earn the second reward car. Cars noted as Exclusive are not available in the Autoshow, so grab them while you can! But don’t worry if you miss them, these cars may come back again for future Festival Playlists.

Series total: 240 Points

  • Season Reward: 2021 MG MG6 XPower (newly added Seasonal Exclusive car) (80 points)

FORZATHON EVENTS

Not only do completing these events earn seasonal points, they also earn Forzathon Points which can be used in the Forzathon Shop.

#Forzathon Weekly Challenge: The Cossie (5 pts)
These four challenges must be completed in sequence for completion.

  • Chapter 1: 90s Icon | Own and drive the 1992 Ford Escort RS Cosworth
  • Chapter 2: RS is for Rally Sport | Win 3 Dirt Trail events in the Escort RS Cosworth
  • Chapter 3: Hoon Again | Earn a total of 100,000 Skill Points in the Escort RS Cosworth
  • Chapter 4: Wing Commander | Earn 9 stars in total from Danger Signs in the Escort RS Cosworth

MONTHLY EVENTS

The total points from Monthly events are divided by four when applied to individual seasons. Completing the two events will apply 1 point for EV + 1 point for Monthly Rivals = 2 points applied to each season.

HOT WHEELS EVENTS

Access to these events requires the Hot Wheels Expansion DLC. Users without the DLC will still be able to gold the season and unlock the “Min, Meet Max” Achievement without these event points.

Well that’s the easiest Trial I think I’ve ever done, 4 humans driving stock + 1 that had either tuned theirs wrong or was just a terrible driver as they scored 100pts on Mulege and finished 5th on Cordillera.

What that Trial basically was for me was pass some traffic in 20 seconds then have a nice cruise along 2 routes.

Real ‘ultimate test of your driving ability’…

Did you try adjusting the camber on your expectations ratio for a more enjoyable experience? :smile:

Camber adjustment is out of spec due to a severely worn upper bushings.

I don’t expect much from the Trial but having nobody near me after 25-30 seconds is taking the biscuit.

I hope my comment isn’t being taken the wrong way, I post my experience of the Trial nearly every week and this just happened to be how it went, I’m not bragging or mocking anyone with it.

The ANY Mustang daily for today doesn’t include the Mach E for some reason (who says there’s no petrolheads on the team anymore :D)
Might save someone else wasting a minute or so using the ‘wrong’ car

I’m actually got a good opinion on the prize car. It handles just as good as the L&C 03 TCR. And that is a great compliment to this beautiful touring car.

I really hope this also makes it to the Forza Motorsport reboot.

It’s going to be tiresome struggle for 20 pts on the Playlist this week, especially after the surprisingly enjoyable previous season (EventLab + collectibles + fresh Forzathon challenge = fun).

New weekly Forzathon challenge is not only recycled once again but also boring (although I love Escort RS Cosworth) and championships offer common rewards, as usual. At least PR stunts with car restrcitions should be interesting :wink:

lol… speaking of recycled content… heading into the 100,000 skill point chapter of the weekly and I figure, radio, maybe get lucky, and right off on Mix Tape Scotty intros a skill song yakking on about the start of the Euro flashback week thingy from a few series back. I think I’ve gotten a couple other rerun yakky bits from what’s her name this last week as well as another one this morning.

Yes, Horizon Mixtape is frozen in time, reliving the anniversary series over and over again :smiley: It seems PGG didn’t think it over when recording Scott Tyler’s lines for the radio… or simply forgot to update it afterwards :stuck_out_tongue:

There’s really no excuse for that IMO & I would think could be easily corrected if the user experience for such things was the priority rather than what seems to be an afterthought.

I finished all weekly tasks. I used your tunes for all the events specified. I used BigHeadDjango for the PR stunts, and the Chevy #777 for the drift arcade. Hopefully you’ll see an uptick in tune and livery uses/likes.

Slow cars are often the best choice.
Seasonals - All untuned stock cars - won every race in each event

Ford By Fours - Ford F-150 Raptor (2017), C, 559, AWD used -
Superstar & Hatch - Ford Focus RS (2009), B, 660, AWD used -
Caprisy Does It - Ford Capri RS3100 (1973), D, 497, RWD used -

Edit - correction, the Ford By Fours was in a Ford F-150 SVT Raptor (2011), C, 518, AWD

On the PR stunts I did however use a tuned Ford De Luxe Coupé (1940), B, 700 for All PR Stunts

I was uncompetitive in the trial for some reason. Just a brace of 4ths personally. The team won it easy enough.

I was uncompetitive in the playground games mostly because the other team had several Broncos and there was an exodus of players from my team.

My form returned with the three Co-op races & the PR stunts were all easily done, mostly with the Escort Mk1.

The Hotwheels Coop ‘hazard’ race was a hoot. Used the Ford Falcon for that.
