Sheesh I’d forgotten what it’s like testing cars that aren’t Super Saloons, my own tunes unless noted….

A <100k Credits (Caldera Scramble)

Sierra RX3 (Fenrir3268 ‘Wilted Rose’) – 40.107
Caterham R500 (ziperrPL) – 40.941

Mazda MX-5 ’94 – 41.475
DeLorean DMC-12 (TheDannny) – 41.558
Lotus Elise ’99 – 41.617
Honda S2000 ’09 – 41.776
Ford Cortina (PTW Subzero ‘Dirt V2.1’) – 41.842
Ariel Nomad (KapienPL) – 41.859
Toyota Supra ’98 – 41.892
Subaru BRZ ’13 – 41.909
Nissan 240SX – 41.925

Exomotive Exocet – 42.009
BMW 1M – 42.192
Infiniti Q60 – 42.576
Mazda MX-5 ’16 (CashlessPlains8) – 42.707
Wuling Mini EV (779PI) – 42.785

Twerkstallion (PTW Subzero) – 43.177

Mitsubishi Evo 10 WP (stock) – 44.161
Toyota Celica ST185 (Dannis6217) – 44.228

Now I actually took fastest auto with that Sierra but I have to recommend Zip’s Caterham instead, the Sierra’s very quick but quite erratic and since Caldera is entirely dirt I don’t know how it would behave on any tarmac sections, I’m guessing not well, Zip’s Caterham is much more reliable, has been around for a long time now and was specifically made for the 2nd course of this Trial (River Scramble) which I’ll get onto further down.

Although it’ll need MC to fully work the WR car on Caldera is eligible here too the Jeep CJ5, with it also being at #3-#6 and #9 on River.

For River as per what I said about the Sierra I didn’t go on there, but we had a week on there in the Rivals group in the original series, although it’s very old now most of us did our times in Zip’s Caterham…

I don’t know if Bedlam’s Evo that he won the week with is still available but it’s an MC only tune too.

This restriction is good and it was nice to try a variety of cars but it sounds a lot more interesting in theory than it turns out to be, I think it’s just the base game cars, cheap ones from the DLC packs plus the DeLorean which was the game’s very first exclusive and is bizarrely valued at just 15k, something I don’t think they ever went near again with any exclusive car added afterwards with 250k being the most common value of them.

Cross country in supercars, great… ugh.

Try the ATS GT with Atelieze’s tune, it makes it a genuinely decent CC choice in general and that car is a waste of time for anything on tarmac anyway.

The Cross Country event should be Sport and Utility B Class

Thank God it was a typo, that made about as much sense as saloon cars on dirt.

Hi, Max. You forgot about Playground Games: Surviving The Holidays (A800 Anything Goes) - Stadium - Survival - all 3 rounds

So you mean every week’s Playlist favorite, then?

In the past I’d 100% have defended the online element of this game but that’s getting a bit harder now. You’d see lots of complaints about ramming teammates and it was something I really didn’t see much of, now I really can’t say that. Whether it’s about where the game is in it’s lifespan or something else most trials seem to have one now.

I tend to experience it in waves.

I’ll go a couple of weeks with perfect team mates, then run bunch with the usual less than skilled/attentive individuals and finally hit a bad patch where every coop race is full of folks ramming and/or being deliberate dickheads in general. Can’t even put a trend to the type of player. Sonetimes its new folks who have obviously picked up bad habits in single player and open (or are repeat offenders on thier nth account) and other times its mid to high level players who get very bent out of shape when they “lose” to someone lower leveled than then or who plainly just like being a pain.

Trial was good.

Catherham made easy work and the team seemed ok.

Even the cc SC is SUVs was fine - stock L&C did it easily.

Pr stunts tho… Two of them were above my pb! Hah. Needed a tuned F5. Dunno if they are possible stock given the off-road nature of the routes?
