These were the best I could do, tried it vs Unbeatable first given the Trial is supposed to be at that difficulty, made a custom blueprint with a bunch of the 100k and under cars selected….

Then I decided to do one at Tourist difficulty to simulate starting as far forward as possible without having any traffic in the way….

But yeah a mid 41’s lap no way, that 42.042 was an anomaly in my laps too, most were around 42.3-.4 over the two races.

My point in the other thread is/was meant to be that rather than coming from a place of any objectivity or proper game knowledge some people’s idea of unreasonable AI pace is that if they can’t beat it then it can’t possibly be anything else, sub 2:11 is clearly an unreasonable pace for AI there, but someone else might lose by 5 seconds to a 2:23 for instance which they never got near in the entire race so insist it was uncatchable/runaway/broken etc in the same way as yours there, when the two are barely comparable beyond a human player finishing behind an AI.

Impressive, most impressive!

So, the finishing time is possible with that car. At least from pole position which, fair enough, is where the AI started. I was really curious if it could be done, and I got my answer. Thank you for that!

As I suspected, the Cadillac ATS-V is quite good. I’ve met several fast ones in Open, so the lap times aren’t that surprising.

In some ways it’s comforting to know that the time set by the AI isn’t impossible. That said, it’s frustrating that you have to pick a really good car to be able to make up for the time you lose by starting from the back half of the field. You also need to know the track really well to stand a chance. That’s a bit unreasonable.
