Having the hardest time trying to complete the Offroad Championship in Hot Wheels, cause the game keeps crashing… it’s great! Xbox One X here.

So last season I would run the champ races and beat the e junk AI easily. This season, I ran the one offroad race for the #124 car. I could barely manage last place. And the AI was just leaving me in the dust. Anyone else having this issue with the e junk AI the season?

Yes. Did the trial have this though or were we still racing against El Campion etc?

Personally no. I did the champs in co-op and some teammates certainly did though as it took three attempts to do E Prix 1. I’d say the AI would’ve been at the higher end of highly skilled, but at the same time no slower than the apparently I unbeatable trial drivatars.

This week’s blueprint just shows how empty the Mexico map is.

Well done to whoever created it. Just wish stuff like this was part of the actual map…

Are you running tuned or stock? Racing co-op with my club, we had some issues winning in tuned cars, switched to stock and breezed it

I used the Nio for this one, has 10 handling stock, little slow off the line but once up to speed the handling advantage got me to the front

I found most of the season pretty straightforward. Even the PR stunts uncluding the HW ones were pretty simple.

My biggest headaches were the Extreme E off-road championship and the S2 EV road races. I think the only thing that would have made the S2 championship even more painful would have been it being street racing!

Extreme E is just too floppy and uncontrollable. Tight turns and the car literally stops and AI that was pretty bulletproof. In the end I completed it but it was utter pain and I never want to go back to those cars again!

S2 EV was equally an utter mess. Why the switchback hillclimb in S2? All power and tight bends and an utter wreck fest including AI ramming. First car just seemed invincible and powered ahead. The circuit race was just as bad, 1st place just flew away whilst everyone else was chasing all over the place.

Tried with multiple tunes. In the end I completed the hillclimb in the Raesr which seemed the best for braking and the circuit in the Nio. Took me I think about 15 goes on that hillclimb through to the point I was going to throw the controller!

Why subject us to this pain!

Well, this had to be one of the worst seasons.
We got two seasonal championships with the same car in the same class for the fourth time in a row.

Also, the Extreme E car is not really good for CC, because it keeps losing speed and breaks skill chains with crashing into even the smallest of things.

S2 championship would be great with the right tracks i. e. speed focused sprints. These were mostly circuits for A800 cars at best.

Eventlab was a boring, buggy slob with bugged checkpoints. And of course there was a bugged checkpoint in the ‘official’ championship on the HW map.

Weekly forzathon playlist was bugged as well. Didn’t register the car until I restarted the game.

IT’S ALMOST AS IF SOMEONE DIDN’T PLAYTEST ANY OF THESE

Oh, and that’s solely a ‘me’ problem, but I mistakenly won the seasonal Eliminator. I got to 69 wins a few months ago and wanted to keep it that way, because I’m an adult so I usually gave up in the final round and let someone take my car for the final run. But I forgot this time. And now I’m at 70 wins. A number that’s insignificant and means nothing to me

The S2 event was fun. I haven’t driven the Nio for ages and it’s a fantastic car to drive. Just perfect for these courses. The handling is off the charts insane and it made short work of the drivatars.

Otherwise, more of the same fairly dull events. Nice cars for the trial but way too easy as per normal. Having to get 40 points per season next month is going to be very painful.

Co-op championships is the way to go. More interesting and over in two races most of the time. I didn’t risk it for the S2 though.

I used the Evija for the S2 championship, downgraded to 991 with the drift transmission + Forza rear wing, the drift transmission bumps it’s top speed up to around 280mph.

For the EventLab I knew it would be a tight track so I took a pure handling focused '97 Civic and I just followed some logic, when ascending/descending the car park whichever side you’re on I thought the next checkpoint would likely be on the opposite side and they all were.

R32 Golf was great round the street course. Really enjoyed it.

That fake “Missed checkpoint” in the Hot Wheels race has been there since launch. I’ve seen it every time I’ve raced that course.

I’m pretty sure there’s an Event Lab rule you can use to make a fake Missed Checkpoint message pop up. I’ve seen it on a number of custom courses. So I thought the developers put it in that race intentionally.

Ahhh the habitual “permanent bug” lol. Another one of my favorites that has been there forever is the cut scene when you are inside the car in a festival location & select the drive icon. The subsequent clip shows the back of the car dramatically exiting & (at least for me) 90% of the time the back wheels don’t even turn

Or when you pull up to a house, and your car comes to a stop, and your wheels still turn… :grinning:

Or when you cross the finish line, and you get the dramatic slo-mo effect and your wheels are turning way faster than they should for how fast your car is moving… :joy:

It was not a fake “missed checkpoint” message - I got resetted all the time.

Same car, same tune, AI is blowing me away this season in co-op champ races. Last season I was always 2 or 3.

After 2 failed attempts and one successful Trial, the worst part was getting hit so hard by another player that my car was turned completely around necessitating a 180 through a fence to even finish. This was while the team was winning and I was in 2nd place with one player ahead. They hit many cars. No previous contact with them either. It was one of the cleaner attempts too. I just don’t get it.

The prior attempt had a runaway 834 Audi I couldn’t catch though I was in wn NSX with a downloaded tune. Well known tuner but an older tune.

Edit I might try later or this weekend to see if I just had bad timing.

Edit 2: successful attempt was using a K1Z Bard tune on McLaren 720 spider. :+1:

The Extreme E dirt seemed a bit more challenging but it might be the courses. The cross country seemed about the same as previous seasons. I still enjoy them in stock form. Running the at A800 seems harder but I haven’t tried many tunes.
