I am curious to see where the FM23 community stands on this!

Im a sometimes with mostly edm/deathmetal which I’ve been told is a scary combination and that i should be wary of my mental well being.

Never, it’s all about the Car and the Engine. When I drive my beast irl I never have music playing, Music is for drinking not racing
For what it’s worth given the quality of the sound of the game. But when playing racing games the only music I want to hear is the sweet music of the engine. The “music” in this game isn’t always all that sweet.
While playing career may listen to music,Apple Music in xsx is nice. Will not listen music in multiplayer games
1% music, 99% audio books. All commentary - such as “one lap left” and the like - turned off.
Rusko - Everyday (netsky vip remix) [is available in FH1]
Chasing bendini [is available in Ford vs Ferrari]
My favorite soundtracks when racing!
Very interesting.
I’ve never been a car guy, but I really loved my R/C cars as a kid. Since I race in chase view, Forza is mostly like an advanced remote control car game to me. Even though the engine noise helps me know when to change gears, the car sound authenticity is in no way important to me.
I’m an IT librarian, so reading is crucial to me. Combining gaming and reading is my perfect pastime!
Very cool.
Never. First thing I do in every single game (unless it’s GTA and has a good rock/metal station) is turn the music off. Video game music does nothing for me.
Please tell me you don’t drive to work whilst reading the newspaper
I listen to programmes on BBC Sounds, usually music but also comedies and dramas, like I am now. I don’t find the play experience compelling enough to give it 100% of my attention and now often switch on full assists just to get through the fomo events, whereas initially I felt compelled to do it all myself, bar levelling up some cars for multiplayer on an oval track. I’m coming to the conclusion that it’s all a waste of time but not in a pleasant way. None of my expectations for FM8 have been met and I don’t see it ever doing so.
I’d listen to music from Ridge Racer PSP using Spotify while playing Forza Motorsport. Suits the game well, in fact.
Drum and Bass mainly.
Ed Solo : System Check Remastered
Camo and Krooked : Cross The Line Instrumental (FM4)
Prodigy : Spitfire (FM2)
Technical Itch : Set (It’s a dnb set, hence the name)
But sometimes…
Hans Zimmer : Time
System Of A Down : All Their Music
MeatLoaf : Bat Out Of Hell
Laid Blak : My Eyes Are Red(!)
I was using some Logikak G Pro X’s that for some reason played all my music through the mic. I had a message saying they were jamming to my beats lol. I’ve a pair of Corsair HS70’s that don’t share my music now with the lobby.
Yeah some EDM usually but I recently turned on Forza ingame music and it’s kinda sick. It’s similar to “Rush” movie soundtrack and gives you a nice pre-race mood. Unfortunately it all goes to waste once the clownshow (“race”) starts.
I have a 5-minute walk to work. I also don’t have a car. So no.
I use FM & FH to allow DUI whilst listening to music
i have william shatner’s ‘rocketman’ on a loop whilst playing this game
Rock/metal, synthwave, k-pop, cyberpunk, doom, DMC 5 soundtrack, generally different type of music, often with high rhythm.
But I also love the sound of straight cut gears in this game, engine sounds are good for me, they don’t kill your ears like v-tec or LS swaps in horizon 5.
Combination of music and good gearing setup makes nice rhythmic shifting when accelerating.
I like to use music as pace reference.
