Do you listen to music while playing? *POLL*

I always fear I would lose focus personally if I play in online lobbies with other players and music playin. But when I play with friends or solo I typically just listen to all the Motorsport OSTs available on spotify shuffled lol.

The OG Xbox had its own playlist feature that let you burn tracks to its hard drive, sort them and listen. Progress, eh?

Ahh the og xbox days. I miss them :laughing:. And JunkieXL . Easily my favorite composer throughout the Forza Franchise. Hear those guitars kick in and instantly takes me back

Great for the time but do people even own mp3s these days? How does that even work. You could also do it on the 360, are you sure the one, s, or x can’t do it?

I listen to a lot of other racing game soundtracks (Midnight Club 2, 3, LA, Burnout Revenge, Flatout 2, etc.) as well as some other songs of personal choice (Mostly metal/rock, hip-hop, sometimes EDM, sometimes more relaxing music)

Some top picks out of what I listen to:

  • Static-X - Project Regeneration, Vol. 1 (The whole album… Been listening to a lot of Static-X lately)
  • LL COOL J - Radio (Also the whole album)
  • E-Sassin - Interface (From Midnight Club 3)
  • X-102 - Groundzero (The Planet) (Not available on Spotify)
  • Underground Resistance - Punisher (Also not available on Spotify)

And finally,

I don’t know if subsequent consoles can burn music. I’ve not seen it anywhere. There are streaming apps for XSX though.

I have a classic iPod, before that I had a Creative mp3 player that sadly died. I also have a MiniDisc play/recorder, which is still great. I think it could have been the ideal tape cassette replacement for cars and Walkman but it was too late. I still buy occasionally CDs but now that Amazon has cornered the market, bargains are rare.

Anything from the 70s.

Why replace?

Except this game is more of a space x rocket

I hope you mean Falcon 9 and not starship :joy:

Gotta listen to fast music to be fast. High BPM songs to get the senses going.

Oh, fast music makes you fast. I gotta go change my ‘fun times’ playlist

Guessing you just put on deathmetal on youtube Nd switch to 2x playback speed

Haha, not quite.

More along the lines of this.

Why? The music industry was looking for a replacement for tapes to make people buy new equipment and the media to play on it, as they had done with LPs to CDs.

I think MD, with the capacity of a CD & the handling ease of a tape (covered in plastic) but being physically smaller than both, was the best solution. But the spread of cheap home computers with CD rewriters, and portable players with anti-skip tech that could be plugged into car stereos, meant that by the time MDs were affordable they’d missed the boat.

I’ve still got my LPs and 45s, C60 and C90 mixtapes and genuine cassette albums, plus CDs, boxes of them. I’ve bought 5 iTunes ‘singles’, plus some freebies from U2 and Lana del Ray that resist all attempts at deletion. I have one genuine MD album, which was in a sale. The rest are compilations I made.

Correct me if wrong but aren’t tape cassettes the worst audio format (excluding badly compressed digital formats) due to the fact that the actual tape degrades quickly over time(compared to plastic/0s&1s in the cloud)

Was under the impression that after a century, a tape cassette will be unusable.

Now that was a great game!

Without a soundtrack to listen to in FM8, I just put on Gran Turismo’s various racing music over the years and use that instead.

Yep. Similar to OP’s style of music. Always turn Apple Music or Soundcloud on 1st before going into FM. Usually have music set to 40% to 50%.

Favorite tracks currently are:

Think - Mammal
Bad Habit - The Offspring
Boots N Cats Vol. 5 on Soundcloud

8 tracks, by far the worst. Most became unusable after about a dozen or so plays.

@DTDeschain2535 , @Lens007888 , reading through this thread makes me question why many of the people here even play these forza games.
