DLC - Unable to access DLC on PC

Still no access to Hot Wheels Or Rally Adventure DLC. The Post I created about this a week ago got marked as resolved. That MAKES ME FRICKEN ANGRY, because my issue was not fixed/resolved. Support still has an open ticket about this issue I submitted. Must be still something to me complaint.
Also my issue was marked as fixed because the server Issues were said to be fixed
IF THE SERVER ISSUES WERE FIXED THEN WHY CAN’T I ACCESS MY FH5 DLC, WHEN i CAN ACCESS MY DLC FOR MOTORSPORT AND FH4 JUST PERFECT. THEY WORK FINE. FH5 IS THE ISSUE. AXBOX APP FOR PC IS NOT THE ISSUE. ALL OTHER GAMES ARE PLAYING PERFECTLY WITH THEIR DLC. tHAT TELLS YOU AGIN THAT IT’S FH5

Support is Horrible. never have a seen such poor support for a game franchise. ALWAYS QUICK TO SAY IT ME THE PLAYER NOT THE GAME. THINK i AM AN AMATUER OR SOMETHING

PAID OVER $200 USD for crappy game support is what it feels like. Feels like Playground Games only cares about $$$$ not making customers happy

or do automatically on ever post say submit support ticket without knowing that the person already submitted a ticket?

Now support thinks It is a device limit issue that is causing my DLC not to show
Could you please check the device limit for your account and try removing any devices you don’t use or don’t use often.

It’s possible that there are too many devices attached to your account and this may be blocking Windows Store downloads or access.

  1. Go to this site
  2. https://account.microsoft.com/
  3. Make sure you’re logged into the account that you use to play / use the Microsoft store with.
  4. Scroll down to the device section.
  5. Select View all devices.
  6. Remove/unlink any device that you are no longer using
  7. Scroll down to “Microsoft Store device management”
  8. Select Manage (Will take you to this page (https://account.microsoft.com/devices/content)
  9. Remove/Unlink a device that you are no longer using.
  10. After removing any unused devices and putting your account under 10 devices Restart your PC

How can this be when I only have one device connected. and is the


only device I have ever played the game from?

I have the same issue, and have gone through all of this “fixes”. I’ve signed out, and signed back in. I only have, and have ever only had, the one PC that I play on, on my account. I’ve tried uninstalling the game and DLC many times, and reinstalled, but whenever I get in game I don’t have access to it anymore.

Ok, finally fixed mine! Support tried their best, but they were zero help. What I did to end up getting it back working was deleting “Microsoft.Expansion1FH5_8wekyb3d8bbwe” and “Microsoft.Expansion1FH5_8wekyb3d8bbwe” in C:\Users"username"\AppData\Local\Packages that had to deal with the DLC, as well deleting the DLC from the PC, then re-downloaded the DLC. Went back in game, and it was finally available again.

Deleting the appdata and registry key didn’t help for me even after clean reinstalling FH5 and DLC completely including registry keys.
I’ve tried every fix I found on reddit and here since 2022, unregistered all my MS devices but my gaming pc, reinstalled and moved game and DLC several times.
I even clean reinstalled gaming services.
This can’t be an account issue because in cloud gaming it works, so it has to be a problem the devs locally messed up with an update on your device and can’t figure out.
People pay almost 200€ per hour if I do this at my job and here I am spending my private time and knowledge to fix a game I payed for and devs aren’t even trying to help.

I only use my laptop for cloud gaming and work so I wasn’t sure if it would handle Forza without crashing so I set up a fresh HyperV to test if the problem is system related or server sided.
Like expected after logging in to my Microsoft account in the store and Xbox app I could install the game including the addon just like I did every single time I reinstalled on the host system but guess what I could see my dlc rank and also instantly when first starting the game I got the vip wheelspins I was missing. After allocating more RAM to the virtual machine I was even able to simply travel to the dlc location without any problems.
So what has been installed or changed in my host system in the last update that stops the game from recognizing my installed dlc content?
And no sorry I prefer never playing Forza again to reinstalling my Windows.


I have the same problem. Installed a new m.2 drive, installed FH5 on it, and been locked out of all DLC’s. Tried every step in DLC troubleshooting guide, tried to reinstall FH5, tried deleting folders in AppData, nothing works. And can’t even create a new topic/ticket 'cause i’ve just signed in here for the first time. Sad, just sad.



So i’ve managed to repair all DLC’s.
I’ve redid all the steps from DLC troubleshooting guide this morning just in case but it didn’t worked.
So I googled how to reset Windows Store(was intereseted in regedit) and in path
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Appx\AppxAllUserStore\Applications
deleted every folder related to xbox or windows store, after that repaired and resetted all the apps related to xbox and WS, rebooted my pc, installed premium FH5(game and dlc already been installed, just needed to press the button to refresh the game and dlc in xbox and WS) through xbox app and worked! Hope it helps anyone. I think step with deleting registry folders helped, and this step is not in any guide to forza related stuff. Would be good idea to include it.

Only thing this does for me is delete all connected accounts so I have to reconnect them.

Hey soo I need help I just bought fh5 on my ps5 today it was premium edition and I got hotwheels and rally pack but no other add on for premium I need this resolved please

I am having the same issues as everyone else here, how do you get to this windows path? Whenever I type it into my explorer it just opens chrome

So additional to my hyperv and cloud gaming test I now installed the game on one of my laptops for work and guess what eventhough I for example deleted and dummy replaced the game bar on this device you can just install the game and you can play it including all dlcs.
Synchronizing my gaming pc with different cloud data after I played the game on any other devices obviously doesn’t help either.
As my support ticket didn’t get answered after telling them their troubleshooting doesn’t work I’ll now just link this thread before it automatically gets closed.

Hello, I have been struggling with this problem for the last 4-5 days, basically ever since the servers started acting weird… I have tried every possible solution online, saw a bunch of posts on reddit and what not, all the way back to when the DLCs were released, with no clear solution to the problem. Reinstalled the game like 7 times, went through all the troubleshooting problems, done the registry things, deleted local data, everything… Nothing helped. I have an open ticket with Forza support where I wait 24+ hours just to get asked what version of Windows I am using…

RIght now I have managed to successfully “patch” the issue and reproduce it several times. However, it still won’t work the way it’s supposed to.

So here is the catch. I have 2 drives, 1x SSD and 1x HDD. I FIRST installed the game to my HDD since it takes a lot of space. Soon, and especially when playing coop with my friend on PS5 Pro, we both noticed my loading times were unbearable and the game even kept crashing, frequently. Later, I freed up enough space to move the game to my SSD.

Now comes the catch, the DLCs only work when installed on my HDD where I had them installed first. If I install them straight to my SSD, it produces the abovementioned issue. If I move them from my HDD to my SSD via Windows → Apps → FH5 Advanced Options → App add-ons → Move, it produces the abovementioned issue. If I move only one of the DLCs to my SSD, that DLC shows unavailable in the game, the other works fine.

I am not saying this is a universal solution that will work for everyone, heck this doesn’t work for me cause it is borderline unplayable on HDD with microstutters during drives, but this at least gives me some way to still play it, at least for the playlist challenges, while I figure out some way to move it and maybe it can be of some help to you all.

Now my question is what is causing this behavior and how can I completely install the game where I actually want it to be lol… If anyone has any ideas, please shoot.

After linking this thread they still asked what version of windows im using asking for screenshots. Screenshoted the version of my gaming pc and virtual machine. Then they ask me to reduce the devices connected to my win acc to under 10.

Edit: after linking this thread in my ticket multiple times I still get asked the troubleshooting faq questions that already have been answered in this thread.
I’m done with Forza it’s just not worth spending more time on this issue.
