As I said previously, I think someone here is actively targeting me. So the only thing I’m going to say regarding that man is that He. Should. Have. Known. Better.
I threw it a vote, but as I said last, they either need to do it right or don’t do it at all. Frankly, it’s laughable that games with smaller budgets and smaller development teams can do it and do so with astounding accuracy, but the AAA game studio with multi-million dollar backing from a major conglomerate can’t be bothered to get their one attempt right.
As the late great Doctor Johnny Fever once said, “when someone is out to get you, paranoia is just common sense”.
Or as I say, “I had a paranoia once, but one of them died. So now I just have to annoy you”.
Awe, what the heck, I commend Chris for taking a stand and speaking up! It was good to hear the ol’ boy come out after all these months of silence. I can’t wait for the next update.
(The previous statement was a paid presentation to maintain topic integrity)
Haha! Brilliant post Ron, made my day and yes got no issues really cause it’s just a game
Chris we know you hear us so please give us a roadmap of where the game is going to be in let’s say 8 weeks and if you can share what you and the team at Turn10 have on the board going forward I’m sure everyone here will hit that heart!
You have to parse his words like a lawyer. It might go through an enormous amount of testing. But he didn’t say anything about shipping code with a ton of known bugs after testing.
well considering Fujimi has no licensing issues and is still the second most requested track there is 0 reasons it shouldnt be put into the game besides they dont car about the fanbase in the slightest
All they did was make a section of track that skips the infield of Laguna. The “original” layout had more to it than that. At one point, there was a chicane to slow cars down as they went through the beginning section. Plus they didn’t add the tree at the top of the corkscrew.
Someone made a “correct” version for Assetto Corsa, a bit of a hack job but still worlds better than what we have here.
Turn10 is beyond worthless right now. Any one who expects anything from the team is delusional. The ship has already sailed. You are going to get updates every month this year until MS decides to either shut down the studio (unlikely) or re-org the whole thing like they did with 343i one year after Halo Infinite was launched.
Is it just me or when they talk about endurance racing they get excited about it and then suddenly they start talking about hot lapping in their sled at Nordschleife?
Not clear if endurance is coming or not.
Big changes to AI are very welcome though. Bring on update 8
I really hope while the list of things they’re working on they look into making the off track penalties more fair. How can you go outside the track limit for less than a half second and get a whole 2 second penalty. That just cost me a win at Kyalami. I had a one second lead on P2 and i went outside the track limit turning right after the descent out of the hills and I got hit with 1.8 second penalty. I still finished the race 1 second ahead of them but that penalty took away my win. Seems a bit excessive and unfair.
And how is it, that you can go off track for several seconds and not get any penalties? And the yeah, like you said, touch a corner without changing positions or anything. And get hit with a big penalty.
If you drive on bumper cam, sometimes you don’t even have to leave the track to get hit with a penalty. If your tires outside tires even slightly brush the curbing, you’re hit with an off track penalty - and other times you can be two tires over and nothing happens.
It feels like the track limits and the associated penalties were drawn up by the writers on “Whose line is it, anyway?”. Completely arbitrary enforcement and the penalties are just yanked out of thin air.
I agree 100% i feel like Microsoft doesn’t care about polished cooked games anymore for example there’s been some flops Already because of poor management or lack of Vision no Disrespect to the creative Directors at T10 But i Bet a lot of us would do the Franchise Justice whenever they are doing the Next Motorsport it has to be for us & not what the Developers want in the Game & let us see every process during the games concept & Development of the game no more Radio silence we deserve to know throughout the games Development from now on very early footage & screenshots from T10 HQ make way more community focused
