I am new to the Forum but not new to the Forza community. I started playing Forza 3 when it first came out and I noticed Turn 10 does a excellent job with the cars handling, physics, paint jobs etc. Lately though it seems F5 is slacking when it comes to tracks. Here is an example in Forza 3 they had over 100 tracks Forza 2 I heard had quite a few even. Forza 4 was fine on track content, however how in the hell is there only like 16 tracks for Forza 5! C’mon Turn 10 this game takes up the biggest amount of space in terms of gigabytes but only 16 tracks not acceptable in my opinion. We need at least 16 more tracks even if it was DLC and included a package deal for $15.00 I would buy it.
What are your thoughts on this? Comments or ideas let’s hear them.
The 100 tracks you mention from Forza 3 are tracks. The 16 tracks you mention for Forza 5 are locations. Apples and Oranges or more to the point Apples and Fruit Salads.
Sure if you compare apples to apples there are a lot less “tracks” in Forza 5 compared to 4 or 3.
The reason is Forza 5 is on a new console and started with zero content. The tracks and cars may have borrowed some assets from Forza 4 but in some way had to be redone for Forza 5. That takes time.
Does Forza 5 get boring due to lack of tracks? Sure. Do I want more tracks in FM5? Sure. But I am not expecting any/many more tracks in FM5 though. Hopefully FM6 will have a few more.
So yes I get bored of the track count but I am happy with the quality of tracks we are getting.
I disagree maybe Turn 10 changed the wording so locations mean the same thing as tracks and your being fooled into believing your getting a better deal LOL. Regardless your missing the point I still want quality and quantity not a complaint just and observation I noticed with previous Forza games. Also seems like a trend now a days where you get shorter content and you have to pay extra to get it alacart DLC it just sucks in my opinion.
I am going to have to put in FM3 tonight and count. I googled it and found 57 not the 100. So I am curious too.
But you use the word trend in a previous post. Trends are fine when there is no break in the series.
Tracks in FM5 are not just the FM4 version dropped into FM5. So there is a break in the series where we start with zero tracks and tracks need to be worked on to get them to FM5 quality. This point can only be proven by the track count in FM7 where I predict it will be close to FM4 levels.
Obviously you missed the part where T10 stated they needed to re-scan, re-build and re-design each and every track for this so-called “next-gen gaming”?
I ended the sentence with a question-mark trying to look for an answer
Didn’t call anyone a noob
Exactly a week ago News - Forza was posted with “next-gen creation notes”
Well, sorry if you all feel ticked off but if one’s new to the forums / the community or even the whole game, it doesn’t harm reading maybe 1 or 2 recent frontpage-posts and maybe some FAQ?
Fine with me; apparently throwing mud in the future is the way to go and follow the majority of other people like a puppy to persist in posting negatively about me?
What’s less polite on your behalf, is the fact I posted a short explanation yesterday again in this topic but all you keep doing is single-quoting each and every other post about the negative side of it but so far failed to see I genuinely asked a question which has not been answered yet.
I don’t know whether it’s the tone of a post like this in response to a forum new guy - echoed elsewhere in the thread, or the three likes it has received that are the more disturbing. Everybody discovers something for the first time, and not everybody has been around for as long as some of the jaded forum old boys - or achieved their evidently exquisite level of boredom with all discussion of the standout characteristics of Forza 5. This punter paid his money like everybody else and felt like a chat.
At this rate there will soon be very little else left to talk about other than how narky and cynical the forum postings have become.
Maybe but obviously you failed to read the part where I stated I am new to the forum and the community! I read as much as I can about Turn 10 but I have a life too you know damn people.
You are so late with this post… This has been posted numerous times when the game came out. Nobody cares anymore. Do some research before you buy a game if you are not happy with it.
