Apex -- Wheel Support Known Issues

Hi folks,

As reported in today’s story, we’re lifting the “beta” tag off of Forza Motorsport 6: Apex today. Along with today’s content update (CU), we’re including wheel support for a number of wheels from Logitech and Thrustmaster.

The following is a list of wheel support known issues with today’s CU (2.5.14)

General:

  • Swapping wheel hardware without re-launching the app can result in missing or changed functionality.
  • Having multiple wheel drivers installed on a single machine can result in missing or unintended functionality (Different manufactures and different wheel models).
  • Unplugging a device, then plugging it back in while Apex is running can result in partial/full loss of device functionality.

Fanatec:

  • Force Feedback doesn’t currently function. We will be adding support for this line of wheels in a future update.

Logitech G25:

  • H-pattern shifter – Does not initialize if it is in gear when the app is launched.

Logitech G29:

  • H-pattern shifter isn’t currently compatible. This will be supported in a future update.

Thrustmaster RGT:

  • Clutch pedal isn’t recognized and can’t be mapped. This will be fixed in a future update.

Thrustmaster:

  • H-pattern shifter isn’t currently compatible.
  • Affected models include T300RS, G29, T500 RS, T150, TX, TMX.
  • These will be supported in a future update.

  • In game wheel rotation locked to 180. ← not such a big deal for some, will bother others.

Did you tried the Advanced Option? There some optios there I put max but didn’t see a difference.

Whoo is the patch?? I dont see it In Store…only Beta and Update nothing?

Any chance of high-end direct drive wheel support in the future? (Accuforce, Bodnar, OSW, etc.)

Where is the patch?

  • Would mind seeing Xbox buttons in HUD for the G920.
  • Didn’t list in the known issues, couldn’t get the H-Shifter working for the G920, perhaps linked to the problem on the G29?
  • As mentioned by a previous post in the thread, wheel rotation needs widening.

No matter what I do I can’t find my G27 ingame… Like my game never updated. Ahem Steam is better Ahem

Navigate to “Options” and “Help” to see in the bottom left which build you are on

No update for me yet either

I got the game to find my logitech G27 just fine, but it does not work at all. I can’t even get the car to pull off the line. It revs like a banshee all on its own, then when i put it in gear it drops to idle and sits, the graphs showed both gas and brake on about 50 percent, and didn’t change when i applied throttle or brakes, the wheel would move when i did that, but the pedals were essentially dead. I even tried un plugging the xbox 360 controller, no dice. Kind of off putting that the game didn’t work, even after fiddling to try to fix it for 45 minutes.

Please help.

and yes I am on the newest driver listed above, and have the game updated to 2.5xxx.

thank you.

EDIT:

I found out that by deselecting “Report pedals as combined” fixed it! Yay.

Hope this tidbit helps others.

Thank you! You are my hero. I am having the same issue. Then I go to Profiler and deselect the option you mentioned above. It all works now. I remembering selecting that option for Euro Truck Simulator 2 but don’t remember exactly why.

Clubsport V2 wheel is causing the FPS to drop. When I start a race the FPS is at 60 and the more laps I make the lower it gets, and within about 4 laps it drops into the teens and is unplayable.
I know it is the csw v2 causing it because if I unplug it and use an xbox controller I get about 80 to 110 FPS with graphics maxed out on 4k res. and it don’t matter how long I drive the FPS does not drop at all.

Are you using ps3 mode?

NO. I have it in pc mode. I just tried it in xbox mode and it works without fps droping but there is constant tension on the wheel and probably not good for the ffb motor.

Anybody managed T300 wheel to work?

I can’t see the update, it’s still the beta version. Just a note that the game is no more beta and support wheels

What version of windows 10 are you using. You might need to update to the anniversary edition. It makes some changes to the store. I got the update by opening the store and then clicking the account symbol just to the left of the search bar for the store and then clicking downloads and updates. This will give you a list of everything you got from the store and let you update them.

Hey !

I play with an old xbox wheel on all my game in pc and xbox 360 (forza 3/4/horizon, the sh*t game named “the crew”)

( http://www.consolegames.ro/forum/attachments/f92-microsoft-console-accesorii/108464d1305827538-vand-volan-xbox-360-microsoft-wireless-racing-wheel-impecabil-img_4091.jpg )

Is found and work on forza 6, but i can’t change bind on this wheel.
I know it’s not in comatibility list, but it’s an official Microsoft wheel :c

Hope, it’ll be fix for horizon 3, or it won’t be buy for me :c

Will there be support for the Logitech Driving Force GT in the future?

180 degrees ingame turning is making me crazy. I like to play racing games at 270 degrees and trucking at 900. Huge disappointment for me.
