Woah. Calm your caps lock. Use of punctuation would help your post’s readability as well.

I only rarely have any of these issues myself (assuming you meant the XBOX ONE version of the game when you said “console”). Hard reboot your XBOX as per the guidelines stated here, specifically under the “Physically power cycle the console” and the “Disconnect and reconnect your console’s power cable” sections. Are you playing on a disc version of the game or a digital version of the game?

I’m suddenly very curious; why does it matter if he’s on a disc or digital version?

The problems he’s having could possibly be caused by a damaged disc/download. Perhaps not as likely to be the factor that causes the problems as more common problems like lack of power cycling, ventilation and the like, but the possibility is still there.

I play on Xbox one with a physical disc and no word of a lie every 1-2 hours I play, the game crashes to the Xbox one home screen. It seems to happen the most when the cut scene appears when pulling into a festival garage.

It’s a general game problem as it also happens on Pc.
I agree it’s annoying. I’d like to see it fixed aswell.
Though we don’t know if it’s an engine problem not fixable without rebuilding the engine. If that’s the case they hopefully fix it for the next Forza game.

Doesnt happen to everyone
I can play for 4 or 5 hours non stop no issues whatsoever
Could be an issue with the console as well
Poor ventilation or anything really

This is the only game this happens to me with. I was also pretty specific saying that it happens most of the time during the cut scene when entering a festival garage. So maybe there is a problem there? Also I still play Forza Motorsport 6 a lot and it has never crashed.

Did you try what was suggested in the post above yours ???

I have experienced crashes sometimes but not as often as someone claims. it didn’t happened to me before I had over 300 cars saved. and probably about 200 liveries saved. and almost maxed out photo space. (I think it is 100 photos max) after that I have had some crashes in the cut scenes when entering a festival. I can add that I know when this has happened it is a while since I took a hard reboot of the console. I then do a hard reset. after that it can takes weeks before it happens again. so my suggestions to those who struggle is to do hard reset every week and always make sure your box have enough of air

it doesn’t happened in FM6 ore other games for me as well…

I’m on Xbox One and I’ve never had the game crash to home screen once. There is some stuttering in free roam from time to time though as if the graphics can’t keep up.

same here -have had the vinyl creator crash quite a lot (though not lately it seems) but never had a problem in the actual gameplay.

What I find interesting is that we all have the same game (assuming it’s the official one and not a cheap rip off copy) and all have the same console (assuming it’s not been tampered with), yet problems only affect certain people. same happens with MANY games. I always buy games legit and never tamper, and have never had an issue wit ANY game(including bugs, crashing, achievements not unlocking…the list goes on)

I’ve never had these major issues, i get a frame stutter once in a while in free roam but nothing that causes a problem. However my xbox is well ventilated, I always hard reboot after every install, not only for forza but all games and apps. And kinda off this topic but, not really, I’ve never had problems with forzathon either, except the one that everyone had with the subaru rally car, but that was because the car was not put into the game.

I’ve played it on my first gen xbox one, and my slim model without hiccups. Not bragging but reiterating that always hard rebooting your console is an important thing. Think about it, when you install things on pc 99% of the time software requires a restart of the computer, why would your xbox be different? It’s just dedicated hardware for gaming.

My game crashes at least once a day on console. The game freezes with a bug buzz sound then game goes poof. Usually when pulling into festival, but happened on 4th event of online adventure last night. Logged in this morning to find all my auctions gone. Lucky they weren’t HE cars I guess. I unplugged this morning, we’ll see if that helps, but I know the cars won’t be coming back.

I’ve had several incidents of stuttering (usually when trying to use the abomination that is Groove to play some tolerable music) and a couple of freezes early on (once on a festival expansion cutscene and one transitioning around the paint booth menus) but never a crash. This is on a One S w/ the disc version.

I’ve generally wound up needing to power cycle the Xbox once or twice a week due to my wheel setup frequently getting lost by the game when I plug a controller into USB to charge it so that may be helping stability somewhat for me.

The fact that some people don’t have any issues actually makes me think it’s pretty reasonable the hardware is a contributing factor. Not all components are created equal and given the loss MS was taking (and I believe still take) on the retail price vs. cost to produce an Xbox One it wouldn’t surprise me if they aren’t overly strict in their QA guidelines. Barring them releasing an update that fixes whatever operation is crashing the game on some consoles, keeping the console well ventilated and cool and power cycling it every so often is probably the best advice in my view.
