i get horrible lag even while driving offline. every few minutes or less i get lag, the engine sound makes it obvious because you’ll be pinning it and your engine sound will stop at a certain tone before snapping back to where you actually are on the rev band. it can get really bad sometimes and i almost thought a few times that the game froze. this is horrible. its like tryna play watch dogs on pc.
yea I’m also having the same issue with like a 1 sec game freeze or the engine sound being stuck…although these happen to me very rarely, it does get quite a bit annoying!
gangrel, that is irrelevant. all my other games work perfectly. and i have my console on energy saving mode so there have been several hard restarts since i got this game.
I also find that having a bunch of open games/apps running in the background affects the performance of my games. I always try to close everything out by selecting the tile of an open game or app, pressing the menu button (three horizontal lines) and then selecting “Quit”. This procedure has worked well for me in eliminating lag and general slowness on the console.
I have the same problem, my car randomly dogs out for no reason. It feels like the car is downshifting when I am trying to accelerate. Sometimes after races it takes forever for my cr/xp to be calculated. I have hard reset my console about 10 times since yesterday. The excuses people make for Turn 10 is pathetic, the servers suck, period.
I believe this happens when you finish way ahead of the pack in a race. CR/XP doesn’t seem to be calculated until everyone finishes the race.
I don’t see anyone making excuses for Turn10. I’m reading other players sharing their tips and experiences. …and I see that most people aren’t having the same problems you’re having. Perhaps you should consider whether there is a problem local you to that is causing these problems (poor internet quality, problem specific to your console, etc…) - instead of instantly jumping to the conclusion that Turn10/Microsoft are totally at fault and for some reason are specifically out to ruin your gaming experience.
crunchy1x = extreme fan boy. its not a server problem we are talking about. we are talking about the offline game!!! its laggy. im gonna try a hard restart now, but i honestly doubt it will do squat.
Most people aren’t having any issues with the game, calling someone a fanboy for telling you the problem might be on your end is pretty ridiculous. Just relax.
I’d love for someone to explain how exactly the problem is on my end. i "hard restarted’ my console 3 times just now. As much as i wanted it to work it didn’t. i havn’t even tried the online or multiplayer part of this game yet so obviously its not server issues or bad internet. so please explain how “the problem might be on my end”. Please explain cuz that makes no sense. i turn my xbox on after multiple hard restarts, i put in my forza horizon 2 disc, i launch forza horizon 2, i press A at the first screen and even as the game loads the loading screen is shaky at best lagging in between the slideshow of pictures, sometimes even freezing for a few seconds. Then i get to my SINGLE PLAYER GAME AND IM STILL GETTING LAG. so since most of you are too thick to notice it or even care, then why in gods name do i actually think it will be fixed. smh console gamers are friggin zombies. If you dont notice the complete lag of engine sound at certain points in the game try adjusting the audio settings, turn the car volume up to 10 and everything else down to 2. On a straight road to avoid distraction accelerate up till you have to stop, then turn around and do it again. do this a few times and if you don’t begin to notice the lag, then you are truly a zombie.
Option 2. The problem is with the software. The same software we all received, whether via disc or digital download.
Currently, there is no one else reporting similar problems to what you are experiencing so which of the two options do you think is most likely?
I do not know what might be causing the lag you are seeing and I am unlikely to diagnose the problem here over the forums but right now I do have a pretty good idea of where I should start looking if I were you.
Also, try to tone it down a bit. People are trying to help you with the problem you are reporting in the best way they know how, being a little more gracious might go a long way to getting you some help that actually solves your problem.
Stating that nobody else is reporting this issue is a bit of an untruth. I’ve seen countless people complaining about the issue and I am experiencing it as well.
Until now, I had not seen anyone else report the problem but then we’ve got several hundred posts a day coming in so I cannot read them all. That said, it still sounds as if it could be hardware related and a call to Xbox support might be a good next step to pursue.
Agreed. Same here. I’m experiencing the same exact thing amongst other problems as well - such as my console locking up, etc. Being in a state of denial by saying that “nobody else is experiencing this” is NOT going to help one bit. The guy has a right to be upset.
Ya pay nearly $100 for a game, it’s riddled with problems & then, people tell you to stop complaining. Seriously? It is a good game & there’s no denying that but hopefully, they’ll get it all straightened out & make it a GREAT game as it was originally meant to be.
