I have a digital download. I have the same issue. It also seems, for me at least, to be in the same areas. Sisteron mountain, around on of the hairpins.
My disc version does just the same, I’ve even had the game go in to slow motion making it un playable, don’t know what to tell you buddy, not heard much response from the devs about any of these issues.
Same here (disc version). Usually 2-3 freezes in rapid succession each time I play the game. It doesn’t make the game completely unplayable but I could definitely do without them. Reboot didn’t help.
I have never experienced this issue. The game runs smoothly for me aside from 1 freeze on launch day before they fixed all of the VIP/Server issues.
Last night I was actually discussing with my brother, who also plays Horizon 2 in the One, how impressed I was with the smoothness of the game in spite of its 30FPS frame rate. He agreed.
I also have it installed on the internal hard drive.
Perhaps do a reboot of your system to clear the cache or try to install it on an external hard drive and see if that helps. Some folks have said they think it runs smoother that way.
The first step in troubleshooting the problem is to perform a complete console shutdown by holding the Xbox One power button (not the controller’s) until it turns off completely. This will clear your console’s temporary memory cache and will not affect your personalized settings or game save data. Reboot the console and the game to see if this has fixed the stuttering anomalies.
Have you all made sure to quit any unused background programs that may be causing your console to have difficulty keeping up during gameplay? I ask because, honestly, I’ve not encountered any of the video stuttering to the degree that has been mentioned and depicted in the linked video.
Yes, I only have just one thing running, the game. When I’m done, I hit ‘start’ and then ‘quit’. No other games or apps running in the background at all.
Arian, why are you still posting about this? I’ve already explained to you its when the game is streaming data and saving to your profile at the same time. I also suggested what Gemma said as the only viable fix. You could also make sure no other programs are running like youtube in the background. But other than that, it’s the hard drive choking on data going in and out. It’s been like this on PC for years unless you run at least two separate drives. Just accept it. It’s nowhere near as constant as you perceive it to be. Also once you’ve found most roads and boards it will happen far less often.
Just hard reset your Xbox before playing horizon to give you the best chance at a smoother experience.
Running a second hard drive is a cop out when people have paid a substantial price for the xbox one, the system should be capable of handling what it’s intended purpose is IE playing games.
Having to continuous reset your system isn’t right either this simply is unacceptable and not the answer.
I use SSDs in USB 3.0 external enclosures with both of my Xbox Ones. It makes a big difference in load times with all the games. Plus I also see no stuttering in FH2.
Your very ignorant arnt you. Why someone would fight for a game that doesnt work right is beyond me. This guy defends the fact that we are being sold unfinished products. Smh. People like you are the reason we will continue to get unfinished crapola from the best developers. Unbelievable!
And you say this happens on pc’s lmaooo!!! I have a gaming pc that i built myself. It has one storage unit, and this never happens! whoever told you you need multiple storage units to prevent this was probably tryna sell you that damn external drive.
You have a unique and curious way of responding when someone offers you help. As I recall, you had a similar sort of response when I too offered you advice about hard-resetting the console in response to freezing issues you were reporting. Now normally, when one is offered the same advice already received and found wanting, a more courteous response goes a long way to ensuring that the other party understands you have already tried their offered solution without success and would welcome any additional suggestions should they wish to offer them later.
Something along the lines of:
“Thank you for your suggestion, it is most appreciated. I have, however, tried this same solution without any success thus far so I will have to keep looking. Again, thank you and please let me know if you have any further suggestions that might aid me.”
Calling those offering you assistance names is a guarantee that they will not make any further attempts to assist you, that others watching and reading might similarly be dissuaded, and you might end up taking an involuntary holiday from the forums.
