No matter how much you want to deny this issue im not the only one having it and its not an issue with my hardware, you act like this is a pc game, HELLO we all have the same damn hardware. And the fact that im being told to tone it down is pretty hilarious when im reporting a legitimate issue with the game and people feel like telling me my xbox one is broken somehow equates as helping.

the sooner you guys look at your game and stop blaming xbox the sooner this will be fixed. i dont have any similar issues with any other games. there is nothing wrong with my console it works great with battlefield, call of duty, trials fusion, forza 5, assassins creed black flag and more. so why do you insist there is something wrong with my console??? this game has not been optimized well. recently i have noticed that the lag is more prevalent after coming out of the pause menu, and also on certain parts of the map, its possible that the main issue is an audio glitch because i now realize that it is mostly just the engine sound that lags while the other sounds continue normally.

Why do I say it’s your console? Because I don’t have any issues with FH2 performance on my Xbox One. Pretty self explanatory.

i have huge issue in forza horizon 2 ,the game freeze completely in my xbox one ,i have to do hard reset to make it open again ,i contact xbox support they make for me factory default ,i lose all my games …now downloading again … then i see here its common issue ,PLZ FIX THIS ISSUE AND GAME LAG LIKE HELL … i paid for ultimate edition guys make update …i love this game

How you figure? My digital copy of FH2 on my X1 works fine. As a matter of fact, I played this morning before heading to work. 7 championship to go till Final Horizon Event. Then I’ll discover all roads/signs/bucket lists, etc.

i get horrible lag even while driving offline. every few minutes or less i get lag, the engine sound makes it obvious because you’ll be pinning it and your engine sound will stop at a certain tone before snapping back to where you actually are on the rev band. it can get really bad sometimes and i almost thought a few times that the game froze. this is horrible. its like tryna play watch dogs on pc.

It’s definitely a problem with Forza games because I have the same problem on Forza Motorsport 5 when I’m using my Stereo Headset with headset adapter on my controller. Even the game seems to have micro-freezes when the audio part of the game is bugging.

No problem with other games, only in FH2 and FM5.

Edit:
Just deleted the game and reinstalling OFFLINE will let you know if this fixes my issue. Will try playing the game offline first, then allowing to do the update and post results. I suspect just a crappy install error. I let it install 100% the first time so that shouldnt be the issue but only thing I can think of trying right now

To those saying it is not your console and we all have the same hardware, you are ignoring one very important component, the hard drive.

In order to do an open world racing game with cars that can go faster than 200 mph with no loading screens while driving from one edge of the map to the other, you have to do some very heavy streaming. This will use your drive heavily, and if it is nearing full capacity or is just not doing so hot anymore you could easily suffer in game stuttering and lag while the game engine waits for assets to stream in.

I doubt there are many games out at this time that will push the drives as hard as this game will, it just may be the culprit.

Good point. I have an 3.0 usb 4tb external hdd. All my stuff is on it. With over 15 games, I’m only using 5.9 % lol. FH2 runs smooth as silk on my Xbox One.

I thought this too, horizon 2 is the ONLY game installed on my HDD… I’m seriously considering taking the game back to the store and buying the digital copy with the refund.

I’m running the digital copy and am experiencing this issue. My HDD is only 42.8% used according to the dashboard. I have two games installed Diablo III and Forza Horizon 2.

Guess that won’t fix the issue, I think its something to do with the preview dashboard programme. Waiting on a patch… spoils what is a great game for me at the moment.
