Hello,
After exprole the horizon update my controller (MS Xbox controller, gen9) is not working properly in Forza horizon 5 (steam version) menus. Its impossible to navigate in menu since right stick, left stick, arrows, triggers and buttons are overresponding. Slightest touch in menu sends me couple of pages/cars etc. I have had this same problem couple of updates ago too, but it fixed itself after next update so I moved on.
Before you ask:
Driving in FH5 is fine, problem only exist in menu
No, there is no issue in any other game
Controller and game is up to date, controller works fine in “controller test” websites
I have already tried to change steam input settings, it was not effective
I have seen some people complaining aboıut the same problem but there were no solution. I believe this is some bug that developers aren’t aware of yet, but maybe there is a solution that I couldn’t find online. Either way I hope this helps to attract some attention to the problem.

I have the opposite problem on the Series X where sometimes control input is not recognized and I have to tap left/right or A again

Would your issue be menu lag so that your input isn’t registering? Like a visible delay albeit a half second or less.
Can’t unsee it if you notice it.

For me this is only in the last week so I can’t say it’s the neon update

I’ve had the same problem the last week. I wasn’t sure if it was my old controller showing its age, or the game. It must be the latter, because it doesn’t happen in anything else. I’m typing this via Xbox Edge app.

Playing on XSX with the latest XS Original Wireless Controllers.
Happens wireless and wired - same delay.
Irritating.
xbox x…wheel and controller delays with latest updates…looks like sales are overriding quality control IMHO

Still unchanged and irritating to play since the NEON update.

Having the same issue now on PC. Just started doing it. Only thing that changed was the update.
Having to use my mouse to navigate menus, I can only imagine having it on Xbox, games literally unplayable at that point.
Same issue here, just got the game on Steam, all controls in menu are multiplied. Not just controller, but keyboard as well, can navigate only with mouse
