Will there be gas in Forza Horizon 3?

Where I live we just call it fuel, simple as that.

It would be cool to have an option for this, but it shouldn’t be mandatory.

^^ Agreed, they will need to have servo’s for refilling tho, like NFS has (but they fix your car).

who woulda thunk Petrol/gas/fuel would cause such a stir! I also always call it gas. But I’m also aware it’s not gas everywhere.

To answer the Q, for this game? Nope. The map is much bigger with more stuff to do, I’d hate to imagine how annoying that would get.

I did give my thoughts on why I believe having to option to turn your petrol/gas/fuel etc off. But that seems to have been missed, and focused on word termology. I’d say it’s not a bad idea, to help others from various countries understand us better (meaning anyone posting a thread or question) that we perhaps bracket what others might call something.

That way, those unfamiliar with something, to understand the various differences in the world.

Here in Australia, Englsnd, and several other Asian, European countries spell several words differently that mean the same. Just one example is say colour. Where in the States it’s spelt color. Harbour is spelt harbor as just a few examples.

While you and I understand those differences, there are those that drop huge distaine on anyone that don’t spell the word as they know it.

I saw a thread where the poor OP was flogged for almost 2 pages by some posters simply because he spelt the word colour, rather than color. It almost caused a fight . …

If we are all to get on, and I trust we do, we need to understand our various language differences, and explaining those differences to others, in a nice, sensible adult manner is much better than attacking others for not spelling words how they want it to be spelt.

I’m sure some understand where I’m coming from. It’s not about making anyone wrong, but simply putting it out there that there’s more ppl out there that really might not understand certain uses of certain words. And simply educating them about the differences, with no fault implied, is all that it’s about.

To the OPs question…no, we really don’t need petrol stations (gas stations), or garages, in an arcade game that’s going to cover such a diverse area. Imagine racing across the Red Zcentre where a car would normally require a few stops for fuel, and you’re in a race …

Casual gamers are not going to find that exciting. I doubt it’ll be included, and I certainly wouldn’t like it to be.

Time will tell once more detailed information is given…

I often slash things when i’m on these boards. so i’ll often say bonnet/hood or boot/trunk etc. I find it makes things clearer as a lot of poeple just assume that what they say is a somehow a universal constant. Despite the number of languages in any one country, never mind globally! lol

This used to be one of the best forums i’ve ever been on. But those days are behind us. That’s more the community dying off than anything, but some of the messages i’ve received from people in relation to these forums are beyond what i’d consider normal. And my definition of normal is pretty broad. lol
I think some of it is even the kind of ridiculous complaints that appear on here deliberately to bait people into arguments. It’s sad, but the mods do a largely good job of keeping things going smoothly.

Very true words Mitchy, it’s amazing the tone of some PMs that one can get. Plus how some just like to irritate others him order to get a reaction from others…

He might well have been being ‘sarcastic’ but if one is being sarcastic, it’s usually a good idea to bracket ‘sarc’ so that if it’s extremely sarcastic, it’s read that way.

But I’m giving him the benefit of the doubt. Everyone is given a chance to pock fun at others, so long as it’s done in a light hearted manner.

We live in a world that’s now dominated by social media, instant gratification, and the ability to be completely anonymous wherever you are.

If in the real world, the person wouldn’t even consider saying some of the things that are mentioned online. Sadly this age has also allowed some to just bully others, causing extreme distress.

If you choose to not take them seriously, then it doesn’t sting as much. Best thing is to firstly, take a deep breath, read another redone, but never reply instantly from a place of anger. It doesn’t help anyone.

Hopefully he/she’s just picking fun, and I’m choosing to see it that way. If not, then that’s HIS/HER problem, not mine.

Well done not rising to the bait. We need more of that on the electronic superhighway! lol
Great reply. Some people just seem hell bent on dumping on everyone around them. Their lives must be pretty bad if the only way they can feel good is hurting others. Responding in kind wouldn’t help you or them, so props for defusing the situation before it arised.

“How dare you spell Color, Colour.” the thread.

Jesus the amount of ignorance and just straight hostility towards different ways of saying the same thing is rather pathetic to say the least.

Behave or be banned.

That should be said to Donald Trump.

OH SO TRUE,ate… I shiver at the thought… But great words. I know we’re not allowed to discuss religion, politics or current affairs on the forums. So I;l leave it at that.

My input: Color needs a ‘u’ in it…
