I am wondering if there is going to be gas in this game, and if there is will there be an option to turn it off?
Err do you mean LPG, or Petrol or Diesel fuels…
And if so, why would you want to turn them off?
A little more exolsination would help mate.

I guess It would be kind of cool being able to pull up at fuel stations to refuel and get rid of some unwanted cash… It is less boring and more realistic having to take into consideration the factor of fuel levels and having to change tires would be good too…

Same here. It would have to be an option.
If they forzed this crap onto Forza, i’m stopping playing it as it totally ruins the pacing.
If people wanna fill tanks… Drive a car in real life.

Be specific mste, as many cars run on “gas”, which is in fact LPG. If you meal “petrol” then say Petrol… And if you ask a question. Not everyone can understand your meaning by say, “can you turn it off”.
As if you ask the question, does it have “gas”. (Ie: What type of fuel are you talking about) and can you turn it off (why would someone want yo turn their fuel off?.)
A much better an specific question could have been…

So, you that way you’ve covered several aspects, your being specific about the type of fuel, and you’ve asked if you have the option to change them, if it’s in the game…
Far too many ppl post a question or start a thread with a single line of text that has no real direct question or statement. Believing that everyone must know what you are thinking, thus them being able to answer you properly.
Not everyone understand hidden messages… Just be more precise and direct with your questions, and “everyone” will understand you properly.
But…to your question.
Personaly I think having a scale where you can ad fuel if it was in a race, or change the fuel,type etc, would be interesting, but more at home in Forza Motorsport. Where pit stops mattered a great deal in lap times and strategies.
In Horizon, that’s really not an issue… Especially given that Horizon is an Arcade based Open World game, where changing fuel types wouldn’t make much sense or difference. As the game is generally very unrealistic.
So having different fuel types wouldn’t make any difference to the outcome of any race or event in Horizon.
Fuel is fuel, be it LPG, petrol or diesel … It all does the same job, propel the cars forward…
Horizon is going yo have dome awesome cars, do,e excellent options and the cars will have totally unrealistic abilities. It’s never aimed at supplying proper vehicle dynamics, or abilities.
It’s not dined at reproducing exact functions of the cars being deplicted in the game. What it IS DEPLICTING, is the ability to take any car and to anything with it. You’re never in a million years be able to drive a Lamborghini on the beaches or over sand dunes or through jungles.
Simple physics would stop you at the first major rut or hill where the car would bottom out.
So the game allows you a huge amount of latitude in the gameplay. It’s aimed at a totally unrealistic, yet totally fun time. Not a real world simulation of the vehicles, their fuel types, or their respective Real world abilities.
Enjoy the game for what it’s about to give you.
Total unfettered fun at the expense of dome fantastic (yet unrealistic) cars. Enjoy it, don’t pull it apart before you’ve even laid a hand on it…

In your country, you call it petrol.
In our country we call it gas, which is short for gasoline.
So the OP is correct in what he is asking.

Few cars run on gas… It’s tricky to transport…
Perhaps in America they should call it petrol too. And also start driving on the correct side of the road too…

You might call it gasoline, but it comes from petroleum distillate or refined petroleum. I.E. Petrol. So just because two other countries call it gasoline does not make you right. Plenty of countries call it gas, plenty call it petrol. Neither one is right.
For some helpful info on this including the fact that a FEW countries incorrectly call it gas (It’s a liquid after all);
It’s quite interesting. Everyone is wrong, but some (Gas) cause more confusion than others.

I wasn’t trying to say that he was wrong for calling it Petrol. If thats how I came across then I am sorry. I was getting at him wanting to have the OP call it Pertrol when we call it gas. Every country calls if something different, that doesn’t make it wrong. I understand that most Countries call it Petrol, I am in the automotive industry and understand how fuel is made and where it comes from. It still doesn’t warrent someone having to change how they speak.

I too did not intend to come across in that fashion. I was merely attemtping to avoid one of those all to common situations these days where everything ends up in someone being called hitler, or misogynist and then the thread gets locked. lol
I’d like to think we’re a bit more mature than that on these boards, but sadly the childish nature of the internet is creeping in here too. So any information i can drop into conversations can help to avoid those kinds of “misunderstandings”. Hopefully… lol

It often scares way too many ppl, and stops them in their tracks from even considering putting a single post up.
Even in here in a forum that’s SUPPOSIDLY a room of like minded ppl that have come here to share something they all have in common. That of course being, Motorsport gaming.
Yet even in here, I’ve even held off posting a comment based on the tone of some ppl posting in a thread. So I can understand the hesitation that some would have, even in here, and that yo me is a very very sad thing.
