There are no Gas Station on the roads of Forza Horizon 5.
Is it normal ?

I am not a fan of electric but I guess that would work. Hey maybe they should add a setting to were you have limited gas and the gas stations actually work!

I would love that too. It was a feature in Mad Max and I thought it was fun. Definitely added to the immersion
For a video game about racing cars in an open world environment, it’s laughable that there is no gas stations/EV charges, it’s a big detail that’s missing.

I suggest adding functional service stations across the map. Such as a gas station, mixed with a “quick lube” and car wash. Make it like a “QT” or “7Eleven” with a few parking spots in front of the store, 2-6 gas pumps, a quick lube on the rear of the store and a car wash somewhere on the property.
-These would be cool landmarks for players to meet-up in Horizon Life, before going on a convoy
-They would offer gas refueling (maybe 15 second duration with a refueling GUI bar at the top of the screen) for players who have chosen the optional “fuel/tires simulation” damage
-The “quick lube” would offer repairs and tire replacement for players who have chosen full simulation damage. (maybe 30-45 second countdown), could be activated by pulling into the quick lube stall and pressing the “VIEW” button when stopped
-The car wash would just do what it states, not every service station would need a car wash
BONUS: Add in some road signs or billboards that say “next gas station 0.5 miles on the left” or advertise the gas stations

Horizon should have always had fuel usage and service stations dotted about the map to refuel repair and mod cars how has this game gone for so long without this feature?

I think there should be gas stations where stop by and fill your vehicles tank where it runs out.

I agree, but they really need to work both filling up with fuel and recharging the car’s battery, as StarDruid7526 mentioned.

Yes. Forza Horizon 5’s map is lacking a lot of real world props and buildings that make the map feel like a maquette rather than a realistic representation of Mexico. Need for Speed Heat and Unbound have dozens of gas stations across the map. It makes it feel and look real. Immersion is also important in racing games. I played a bit of FH3 last night and it felt much more real than FH5 because of these little details.

A cursory look online has petrol in Mexico with max octane of 92.
Hypercars (again a quick look using the Chiron as eg) needs minimum 93.
Honestly I’d rather not to be stopping every few minutes coz I’ve ran out of fuel in my s2 car doing a speed trap or speed zone.
grand theft auto has gas stations but they are not functional.
Not once you’ve robbed the shop!
