Will FH2 be FORGOTTEN??!!!

Well with FH3 just around the corner, the question is, will the stunning version of FH2 set in the beautiful Southern Europe be eclipsed by Australian FH3? I personally think not and here’s why. FH2 is about primarily street racing with the inclusive of the off-road element. And judging by the crowds at the Nice showdown races over the other showdowns, I’d say that the prevailing idea is that street racing is the preferred mode of racing for most Forza Horizon Fans. To that end, Forza Horizon 2 will still continue to live on my Xbox One where I will engage in the occasional road trip, still my favorite, but mostly showdown races. Still loving this game and its awesome soundtrack. I had hoped that FH3 would have been an extension of the coastline of Southern Europe to include destinations like Barcelona and Monaco, but oh well, I guess I’d have to settle for the rugged outback of Australia after all.

I agree - although I don’t spend much time on FH2 these days, when I do I’m in Nice! Some of my most fun races have taken place on those streets…

I’m with you on this. I think there’s a major off-roading emphasis in H3 and for the pure road and street racing, people will definitely stay hooked on H2. I know I will. Stunning road racing games, both H1 and 2.

Actually, with the recent release of the FH3 demo, T10 was trying to get us acclimated to how FH3 will work mirroring the original FH. No road trips as in FH2, but like FH lots of informative dialog as you drive and race. I like it, but it is miles away from FH2. I guess with FH4 we’ll revert back to probably a city like environment depending on the next festival destination (How about Scotland ??).

What ever they do, I just hope they stay away from forcing us to do those stupid road trips after X number of championships in the SP. That was just unnecessary tedium added into the game.

Not liking off roading, and so do the majority. In the FH3 demo you choose which area you want to progress and it says that something like 69% have chosen Surfers Paradise…who wouldn’t… i like FH3 tho, and can’t wait to get online with my son

My major complaints with Horizon 2 were that you could not stay in the same city, but had to go to a different city after completing a set of tasks to progress in the game, only to have to return later to do more stuff, and that after every 4 (?) cities you had to return to the festival to ‘relax and party’ before setting out on your next group of 4. Other than that, it was a great game. (well, it could have been better if we could have turned off the mechanic and friends…)

From what I have played in the demo for Horizon 3, I have a feeling I will be back to Horizon 2 (and Horizon 1 for that matter) before long. As much as I love the Horizon series, to me much of Horizon 3 seems to be just more of the same, and not necessarily better. I am not all that keen on all the personalization/make it mine stuff in Horizon 3. I like the structured setup of Horizon 1 and 2 much better.

Definitely planning to return to 2 some of the time. After a few weeks on 3 it just doesn’t seem to have the replay value of 2. A less interesting and less well designed map and less iconic races in 3 don’t help, and the Hospital Records tracks were just amazing in 2, actually getting me into that kind of music - I wish they would have the soundtrack available conveniently somewhere!

The playground areas are also better in 2, and multiplayer race setup is simpler, none of that blueprint hassle. I’m down to just the drift zones to 3 star in FH3, and that’s going to be pretty tricky, and will probably need some FH2 lovin’ before that happens lol.

I somewhat feel the same. Horizon 2 has way too many positives to just put it down. I’ll be reinstalling mine soon.

My FH3 deleted by accident and I had to redownload it but during that process I decided to play around in FH2 and I love it and how it makes me feel than the FH3, its a bit complicated with the FH3 but nice but I will pray more updates will be sent to the FH2 for fans like us to enjoy more of it and not forget it. most new cars in the FH3 can be update to the FH2 and I bet I will stick to it… and I wonder why the Porsche Bundle in the FH2 aint in the FH3, that’s sad. love the Porches cars. especially the 918 spider. I wish it could be added soon in the FH3. but FH2 rocks.

Given the current state of the H2 servers and how long it’s been going on for perhaps the OP’s question has been answered!
