Horizon 2 is Perfect

The only thing that I’ve thought would make it better was one more DLC pack that places a few (or more) race tracks (circuits) within the Horizon main map. Basically race facilities you can drive into and do some circuit racing in, FM style, but with FH fun and physics. Much like the drag race at the airport, have a few preconfigured events ar each track, maybe with different track layouts. They could even be handled like the car meets though it would be cool if you could free roam onto the tracks and rip around when not in an event.

Overall, though, by far my favorite racing game of all time, cant wait for FH3.

I agree it’s great fun and i love it a lot. Heck i played and got to the finale in both versions lol. If there was ever a game that you want to just have a blast this will do it for sure.

I am a bit worried about h3 to be honest. Not really sure what they can do to make it much different.

If they can deliver FH3 with this same level of refinement, an updated car list, a fresh location, and the same great feel, I’ll be purchasing no doubt.

Buddy of mine and I were saying maybe a Japanese based location or something. Mountains, urban, etc.

Also, including my suggestion above would be sweet.

Yea its an awesome game, just wish the rev hanging and inaccuracies would be fixed. Needs more customization in terms of playability but oh well.

The game was dead for me soon after release tbh. Rubbish map. No scenery, no random events, no spectacular views, I have recently rediscovered the crew since the wild run addition. And yes let’s say from the beginning in comparison physics/car handing is terrible. But everything else about the game is amazing. Never had as much fun cruising around since tdu2. Haven’t even looked at fm6 since I got it

P.s OP crew has real racetracks in the map. Maybe poorly modelled but they’re there along with airports, train stations, space shuttle launches, niagra falls, wildlife, easter eggs, Ai that attempts to avoid you and can sit in not in between lanes, cars and bikes More then 10miles of freeway, the map is the right size, night and day variable weather rain snow etc etc. Frankly once you get beyond the physics which you do get used to I see no reason to look at a t10 product again. Which makes me sad because at one stage they actually cared about making a good game more then making money and the crew was a good reminder of that for me.

And from what I’ve heard from longer standing players is that the devs do try to listen and do often respond to emails or even on their forums…that said theyre forums seem just as argumentative and opinionated as here just with less thread locking

I have the crew as well… and i have to say, its probably about the worst game i have ever played in my life. Can’t even sell it for 10 dollars on ebay! Forza Horizon 2 was made by car enthusiats for car enthusiats. Its perfect. I am also a bit worried about FH3, only because FH2 is so perfect, how can they follow up? The crew was made by lazy people with no actual car knowledge

Horizon was made by a bunch of people who have realised we are so stupid they could put limos and tanks into a MOTORSPORT based game and we happily continue to line their pockets. Yes forza has many good aspects but for me the bad now out weigh those.

I have given examples as to why I prefer to play the crew and why I gain enjoyment from It. You fail to provide any for why you dont. I see a clear hater. Apart from calling them lazy…you seen the problems with fm6 carried over from fm5? Thats lazy!!! Or issues which have been addressed and threads just locked like this one probably will be for my honest opinion. Because of course say anything apart from forza is amazing that’s what happens. You maybe can’t sell it on ebay but I paid next to nothing for it and best purchase I’ve made for my xbone apart

I’ve spend enough time and money (I mean only reason I owned an xbox of any form was for forza) to see this franchise is only going in one direction that’s incomplete buggy games that will be filled in with paid dlc and a buch of devs who claim to listen to the community yet imo have torn it to shreds with removal of hugely popular features such as clubs AH. And the ability to be correctly rewarded for your tuning or painting efforts. And rubbish career modes

You feel free no keep your nose where but I’ve given up all hope of a forza game ill once again enjoy.

By FAR my favorite game I’ve played on this console. Favorite Racer ever.

THEY BROKE MY GAME THOUGH.

I’ve suffered serious withdrawal since their game-breaking update in early November2015.

So much right about this game. I really prefer this series to the regular motorsport series.

I love this game too but it has one MAJOR imperfection. The lack of choice. The lack of choice to race the class you want online and continually being forced to race what you are put in or what the ridiculous online vote tells you that you will race in.

I hate S2, dislike S1 and grudgingly accept A class but love B, C and D classes. But the game won’t let me play what I want online which is just a major irritation and turn off. I will NEVER purchase another Horizon product unless this issue is addressed. I still race against the computer and run lots of rivals but most of my online has gone by the wayside. Sometimes I luck out and get put into the lower classes that I love but usually I join online get put into S2 and try again and again and again until I can get into something I want to race and sometime if that doesn’t happen after 5 or 6 tries I just quit which is not a way to build a strong player base.

I know you’ve played this game as much, if not more than I did, before my game save got thiefed by that update…

What car do you try and go into the ORT with, class wise? I noticed that if I go in with B or A, I had MUCH better success in running the lower classes. However, if I went in with a D or C in hopes, S2 would always happen. I dunno if it’s just a trick or dumb luck I had.

Good God do I miss tuning and painting.

I usually go with a lower class but it doesn’t really matter because if I get put into a higher class I just pick a car in that class, leave to solo and try again in whatever class I got shifted into. Picking a car for whatever class you get put into and immediately dropping out is quicker than waiting for the timer to run out and then drop. But I haven’t noticed any trend in what kind of car I am in and what class championship I get entered in.

Sorry to hear about your account getting jacked up.

I know I am not the only one whom the update in question broke the game for. XBL Support points the finger straight at that game devs, whether that be T10 or Playground. SnowOwl here has done a TON to try and help, all with no luck. I reached out to the Forza people only to be ignored…as if I were an EA customer.

OH WELL.

What I DO remember about being able to race B and C a lot were being in my Transit Van going into ORT in a B Class. Usually worked, for my crew and me. I miss this especially…I made a Food Truck for all my crew.

Taco Truck

if it were perfect the Toyota Mr2 would be in jdm icons not track toys.

Haha, so true! And the Maserati MC12 or what it’s called would be in the old supercar group, not in hypercar.

And how the hell is the Golf R and Audi S1 a rally day hero yet a Lancia is in the same category as a BMW 8 series…smh

FH2 is a solid game. Never played the first one but I am absolutely hooked on this type of game for sure.

However, there are lots of tweaks they can make to this game: (and not even talking about the map or cars or improved graphics)

-Adding our own music into the game
-Better car management when selecting for races. A fav’s list to choose from
-Minor driver customization
-Interior color choice
-Less rain
-More elevation changes
-Iron out the glitches, loss connections
-Some different types of games. I see an excuse to bring a monster truck out and wreck other peoples cars
-I think you can add things to the maps that might make the map more interactive in non-racing driving but doesn’t serve a purpose. ex:car washes, more dedicated areas for people online to meet up at (not actual car meets)…

There are a lot of things the team can get creative on without having to overhaul the game. Some fine tuning would help a lot.
But really, let’s face it. We are all ready for a new map and to start earning our cars again.

I think they should do California/Nevada map. Not sold on the idea of Left Hand driving in Japan.

The items in bold…

Horizon 1 was set in Colorado. Was a blast driving around and recognizing (how the merged it) my home state. Loved it.

I’d love a “Favorites” Garage for online racing. The user must put these 10 into his or her garage prior to getting into a ORT or OFR. I myself like to use multiple cars for S1 and A…

Imho, Forza Horizon 2 is the best open-world simcade ever created. It’s all about the freedom. You can go anywhere with your car, and it’s amazing. The level of detail was vastly improved from the very first Horizon. Lots of things to explore and see. The scenery is simple beautiful: you really feel driving inside european roads, and it’s cool. Most of actual games can’t really deliver a nice ambientation, for example.
The car variety is insane, and beats every single open-world car game. Test Drive Unlimited 2 has half of the car amount, and it was my reference in terms of open world games. Now, it’s FH2 for sure.
I am new to consoles as well. I used to be a pc gamer, but then I took an arrow in the knee. Understand this as: I don’t have enough money to keep up with the pc master race. It’s expensive ;-; Mostly here in Brazil, where the taxes are extremely high. I have chosen the Xbox One because of the pc-like features it brings, like the keyboard support and the GUI itself. I thought I would regret buying it, but nope. Playing 12-13 hours daily and loving every single minute of it. The graphics are cool, the game library is insanely good and the race games (FH2 and F6) are real masterpieces. No regrets.
And ye, Horizon 2 is perfect :3

Well sir diesel blows, I see you feel quite strongly about this matter. I appreciate your honest opinion, I am also glad there is someone out there who likes the crew. The problem I have with the crew is that it advertised itself as a game with the same concept as horizon, causing me to preorder the game because I love horizon (for the record, my previous post was not referring to the motorsport games, I was talking about forza horizon 2) So I got the game in when it was released, and I was just so excited to play it. Unfortunately it was the worlds biggest let down for me. The handling and the physics felt so off compared to horizon, and the graphics were terrible compared to what I seen in the trailers. And the cars were cringe worthy compared to the detailed models in horizon. Anyways, im not trying to be a hater, but I can definitely see how I come across that way. I was severely let down, but I suppose different people enjoy different types of racing games? anyways sorry for my ignorance, have fun with the crew

I knew The Crew would be a ridiculous game since it was released. Every single racing game that has Ubisoft’s hands on it is [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D]. Crappy physics, excessively arcadey, ridiculous speed feeling, etc… The only thing Ubisoft really does well is Firt Person Shooters like FarCry 3 and 4. Real masterpieces. But in terms of racing games they’re kilometers behind Turn 10 or any other racing sim developer. Wouldn’t be fair to say that the game is a huge piece of [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D], as it has a pretty huge map and lots of things to see. But when it comes to the racing itself and the cars, you notice that they know nothing about motorsport.
This is why FH2 is still the best open world racing game atm.
