I think there should be an update to be a better sound
I’m not really even sure how you could claim that FM4 has better sound. The improved sounds are one of the first things that I noticed about FM5.

FM 5 sound is way better than FM 4. You straight tripping.

Not sure about that… FM5’s engine noises might, relative to a set volume you have on your TV, be “quieter” than Forza 4, if that’s what you mean (I found that out recently). but that is probably due to better balance with other car-related or ambient sounds of the game. Just turn the volume up more for 5 than you would 4, and you’ll notice the difference. FM5 definitely has the better audio.

I can’t possibly agree with you, here. Yes, there are some glitches; but, overall, the sound in Forza 5 only seems to improve on the excellent sound design of Forza 4.
The over all volume seem lower in FM5,just crank it up and its all there and more!

If you use hoodview the sound is very quiet relative to other cars. unlike in f4
What have you been listening to? Go tunnel blasting in the Ferrari 575 at Bernese Alps and tell me that the sound isn’t infinitely better than FM4.
Try the same thing with the Mazda 787B @ 10grand. ; )
The only issue i have with the sound is not related to turn 10 or the game but with console and not supporting Dolby 5.1 surround sound for Astro’s. I have to run stereo as DTS will not work. It still sounds good but no surround, maybe that’s the problem the OP has?
Some cars sounds worse (Celica st205 Gt Four, Lancer ecc…) but most of it sounds better…
Only that… All exhaust sound with the external view should be much more MORE closed… and the racing transmission increase the volume.
The Ambient effects instead are Amazing!.. there was a significant improvement
If you think the sound quality is worse, you do not have your audio configured correctly. Go get configuring.
My Center channel went, a few days prior to getting the Xbox One. I had been planning to replace my receiver anyway, and the center channel amp going bad, was enough of a reason to splurge on a Fantastic Pioneer Receiver.
Overall, That Center Channel does a lot of work. If you are using surround sound, be sure it is DTS, or at least capable of the Dolby that the Xbox One uses, otherwise you are going to get simulated, and very likely it is not going to give the correct audio output.
FM4 definitely would sound millions of times better than FM5, if your sound is not configured correctly… since getting the new system.

FM4 sound is definitely not as good as FM5. I noticed I have to play this game at a bit of a higher volume than FM4 but it’s no big deal. Also, I don’t remember the sound of the exhaust changing in FM4 with upgrades like it does in FM5 which is a very welcome addition.
Make sure you’ve adjusted the sound output under the Forza Profile. I played for the first day or so without changing it and it was only outputting stereo sound. You need to change it to surround. If anything, the One needs a firmware update to allow 7.1 output through optical. Right now, you can only get 5.1 via optical. 7.1 is done only via HDMI right now.
The sound is there, BUT unlike in FZ4 when you watch a video replay, the sound of the car nearly disappears on certain tracks, while in FZ4 you could always hear the roar engine no matter how far away it was. Please Fix this problem and the laggy car replays that have been occurring after the patch for the Honda and Smoking Tire Car Packs. Thanks!
Gonna have to respectfully disagree here. The sound in FM5 is really good. Some of the cars are downright awesome. There are little details in the sound that just weren’t there before.
