I’m a gamepass user who purchased the ultimate version of FH4 but didn’t see the value in purchasing it at this stage for FH5. So I guess I’m fortunate in that regard. I’m still willing to buy ultimate for FH5 but not until it’s worth it. That is not until the game is stable and at least 1 solid expansion has been released and that the player base hasn’t completely died off by then due to the current state of the game.
I do keep doing it. Pre-ordered with max money spent. Even gifted the same to a friend to try to get him to play it (he asked me why i’d gift him Cyberpunk 2 after playing it for a day and promptly uninstalling).
This one is getting to me. The bugs, the horribly bad decisions by the developers, the silence, the thanking for patience that they don’t deserve. All I love about Forza is struggling to overpower the problems.
March 4th is coming. I will play up until then and see what happens after. It’s not inconceivable that will be just as bad though.
This is the kind of people that irritates me. The ones who dont even think when buying videogames, probably because they dont even value money at all, of course, and they dont care about videogaming industry degrading every year. Sad, very sad.
Nobody expected the game to be in this state. The bugs we had to deal with in the past FH titles were dust mites compared to this swarm of killer bees. Maybe the pandemic should have made us wary, but even so you’d think an extra year in development would have meant they had time to adapt.
But going forward, a lot of us will be wiser. I for one know this is the final Forza title I will ever play unless they get things sorted out pronto.
What? did you even play FH4? clearly you are a new gamer and you dont have experience at all about how videogames have been evolving this past decade.
Every release was worst. FH3 wasnt terrible, but still. People did buy FH4, with all the bugs, and yet they did buy FH5 again.
Look around. Take a look at all the videogames released today. What a huge pile of unpolished garbage with tons of problems all over the place.
Videogames have less quality and more bugs year after year. The forza franchise is not an exception.
So yes, every single smart gamer with enough experience would know that FH5 will be released half broken.
All the feedback people gave to the devs in FH4 was completely ignored and yet, people did buy it.
And oh look at me, i knew that FH5 was going to be awful, and i didnt buy it (or better didnt have plans to do it… sadly my sister gifted to me, and curiosity killed me).
If you keep buying unpolished videogames, without learning from past experiences, dont expect things to improve, ever.
Hell you can even like a videogame or have a satisfactory experience, but still, you should be smart enough to realize how things are evolving.
Be careful when assuming things, bro. I know for a fact Zacabeb has been playing racing games since the 90s.
Your desperate attitude simply isn’t helpful. Yes, the game has problems and, yes, Playground deserves huge criticism for treating us like beta testers during FH4’s extended support, releasing a complete mess of a game and getting away with it because they pleased the usual clique of journalists. But attacking other people for no reason is completely useless.
I slam Playground whenever I can and did not expect the game to be the way it is. I thought PG was gonna bring their A-game, but they clearly didn’t. It’s reasonable for us to assume it was gonna be better than it is, based on what we were fed. Alas, the end result was the usual iceberg: a shiny tip hiding a mountain of problems underneath.
Sorry but again - No clue.
FH4 was with bugs but to no extent as this.
FH3 also had a few but again even less than 4
People buy a game based on the fact that the Devs should have a better handle on things like previous editions.
This incarnation has been the worst issue of all - even the disappointing versions of FM series.
Did you even play Forza before FH4 ?
Well I am glad I irritate you. May as well be both ways, Mr QuickJudge.
What exactly do you know of my thought process over whether or not I pre-ordered FH5 and gift it to a buddy? Be specific about what you know to be fact please.
Does it include the fact that I have been ‘Driving since’ 2010 enjoying each release since FM3. I mostly played each game up until the day before the next release.
Does it include that I enjoyed FH4 so much that I put way over 100k miles driven in game and was still playing almost daily until Nov 4th.
Does it include that my experience has been favorable of all the previous releases. I did wait a few months after the release of FH3 to buy it but only because I wasn’t ready to put down the FM release that preceded it yet.
Do you know the history between my buddy and I and know exactly why I was trying to introduce him to it? I’ll leave details out but there is a reason.
Do you know that I was a big fan of the GT series but it was the long wait between GT4 Prologue and GT5 that led me to try out Forza and have not looked back…until now maybe.
Do you even know what it is I do love about Forza games? And what part of FH5 I am loving?
You don’t really know much about what motivates me do you? But hey, judge away based on one sentence.
Nice - he obviously has no clue about other people or their experiences.
I also bought FH4 Ultimate for two mates as birthday presents - thank god there wasn’t as many bugs in that as there is in this current FH5 heap of bull…
Uh George, sounds like maybe you need to quit video games altogether. Since, as you say “…Take a look at all the videogames released today. What a huge pile of unpolished garbage with tons of problems all over the place.” And along those same lines, sorta makes sense to quit all video games forums. Clearly you’ll be happier than dealing with all the idiots who aren’t as super duper smart as you.
Sorry but whoever buy videogames (the only videogames worthy these days are some indie hidden gems) these days, they need a new brain, or go to the doctor, asap.
And again, if you cant understand how videogaming industry has evolved since 2010, thats your problem. Ignorance is free.
There are many many factors that indicate that people buy too many videogames and they dont seem concerned about quality, this has been happening since almost a decade ago,
specially with the increase of digital platforms and such. For example, when steam keeps publisihg EVERY SINGLE TRASH they get, its only because they know, they are going to
sell. As simply as that. And im talking about indie games and minor titles. In the case of bigger games like FH5 is almost the same with another approach.
The companies think that it doesnt matter if the game has “some” bugs, people already ordered premium edition, and whatnot, and they are not going to be able to resist to the
new FH5. They also made an amazing teaser and people keep saying “cant wait”. Like if they didnt learn anything in years.
I have been seeing year after year how many games are really bad, and they are still sold like candies, if you cant see why the videogaming brain has changed since the golden age
of videogames, you cant understand. Years back people had priority over quality and they didnt buy games like candies, many companies go broke because of this, but they deserved it
People were willing to see a company go and their dear game go before having a pile of trash as a game.
Since more or less 2010, the mentality of gamers changed drastically.
But you know what, believe what you want. As i say many times, gamers these days get what they deserve.
Yes you are clueless - why not give up posting useless garbage that helps nobody and just stop playing the games or even bothering to comment on what everybody else is experiencing.
So far, everything of yours I’ve seen has just been beating down other posters with legitimate concerns and given nothing to contribute to any sort of solution.
Youv’e been posting for a short time with little gamerscore to show that you’ve even played that much. Only thing you’ve achieved so far is a good amount of posting to get to a rank that you clearly don’t even deserve.
So far everything of your posts seems to push an authoritarian defence of a product that CLEARLY isn’t worth it’s perceived value. This entire mess goes back to the pre release hype trains that these companies do persuading it’s players everything will be fine from release. No mention of potential problems are ever brought up so in essence they sold everyone an incomplete package. If your here trying to intervene and stop people from making complaints about something they were lied about quality wise then your the problem.
Never once tried to defend the product - complete opposite.
All of my posts have been about how broken it is and why I wasted good money on a Beta project.
So where does that comment come from ?
You say so many things that makes completely zero sense and are totally false lol. But whatever, i really dont care. Im complaining like every single smart person in these forums.
Is that so bad? Or you are a fanboy and thats why you cant accept my arguments? yup, im pretty sure thats the case.
Videogaming industry these days is terrible, and half of the blame goes to the customers. You dont have enough intelligence to understand why? thats your problem.
But stop saying nonsense. You go to my blocked list automatically.
Thanks for adding me to your blocked list - saves me having to see any more of your useless posts.
The only one here saying things with zero sense is you my friend and just because I bought a game like tens of millions of others does not belittle my intelligence or increase your so-called smartness.
So far you haven’t shown any of that - just complaining about a game that you got for free and calling the rest of us idiots for paying hard earned cash for a broken product. I think we’ve got more right to post on this than you.
TBH I don’t recall FH4 having much amiss at launch! The multiplayer was a hot mess, with requiring 12 people to join to even start, so in general it just didn’t connect, but the rest was good. Don’t remember crashes, for sure, and what they started out with before the season playlists, with the mad grinds of skill points, okay they did lose progress between sessions, but they worked if you did them all at once, 7 million skill points in the Raptor was an early one if I recall lol. Other things like levelling up by watching Mixer worked just fine. I got that t-shirt lol.
But there are a lot of bugs that were there in 4 and even 3, as well, and still they have not bothered to fix, like rewind stopping working in long races, and just randomly placing you in the middle of the field, and/or just randomly stopping working in freeroam. But an awful lot is new and novel, which is a surprise given how much of the game is a copy/paste of 4.
