Nothing works. At all. So what it’s pretty with lots of cars. Races are broken. Matchmaking is the worst of any online game ever made. Some story missions are stupid easy some are not even possible to 3 star. Whoever was in charge of making sure the mechanics work should be fired. This will get a 0 on metacritic from me.
Your title is a bit misleading. FH5 has alot of potential just like FH4. What ruins it is all the known bugs, many of which were carried across from FH5.
The big issue that may not be apparent now but will in time is that many of these bugs will never get fixed. Others won’t be fixed for months from now. If you don’t play online then you won’t be that effected by this.
Bugs aside… Alot of existing functionality was removed from FH5 which existed in FH4. This has surprised and annoyed most players. There are endless threads of people complaining about why various features were removed.
Therefore if they were to address these 2 things by fixing most critical bugs as well as reintroducing features that were removed and do this soon then FH5 would be far from the worst game. It would be a great game. Unfortunately this won’t happen so gg.
Welp, that looks like a hate post to me, i understand the online features doesn’t work, but i should address that many other things work, story missions are all possible to get 3 stars, even if you need a guide to do so, but it’s just that you need to adapt to the “Trial and Error” method, if it’s too hard, turn on or off some difficulties plus, The Trial and Horizon Coop works.
It’s just the buggiest game ever made not the worst. It’s still playable, and still fun. It has some really bad bugs in it though, even bugs the most of you don’t know about yet.
On console, I am fairly sure the buggiest game would be Cyberpunk although there is a football game released not long ago that basically didn’t work. On PC, FH5 doesn’t even come close to being the buggiest game ever made…that accolade (in my experience) would belong to Football Manager and it would win hands down every single year
Depends on if you are counting the number of bugs. A game that doesn’t work at all only needs 1 bug. When it comes to fixing a game with 40 bugs it is harder to fix.
Oh no, the football game had a lot of bugs too…just that it wouldn’t work for a lot of people. The CEO of the Developer in question eventually came out and apologised for the mess their game was
That is the most unmotivated and uncreative rant, I’ve ever seen here. Think about it again, get yourself some ideas, and try to do better next time. Look around in the forums, many perform better than you (OP).
To be fair: considering it is Microsoft who “ownes” Playground, one should and could expect more.
But wait … no - when I think back to the “old” windows days… exactly that. Blue screens and bugs are normal.
Since I had to disable Bitdefender to make this game work, speaks for itself. What a fail integration. Grafix are buggy, frame rate drops without explanation, online gaming close to impossible, Auctions broken, etc. etc etc.
Yes somewhat you can play this game. And somewhat it is fun at time. But for “serious” players this game offers almost too many frustration points compared to the fun moments.
These are the results of an “Agile” IT delivery philosophy combined with a lack of proper program Management skills. Shame for Microsoft.
Whilst I know that the game seems to use very weird networking practices to run things which creates havoc on 3rd party AV software, it is an issue that is prevalent in a lot of games these days. 3rd party protection programs just aren’t as proactive in patching things as they used to be. I have lost count of the number of times I have seen game issues from AV programs in the past 18 months which were solved by disabling the program in question and just using WIndows Defender instead. And I have to say bitdefender is one of the worst culprits.
These days? Heck, even way back when I gamed on PC, games clashing with AV programs was a very common problem. And if the game itself wasn’t wreaking havoc, it was either the DRM or whatever anti-cheat program the game used.
