To say I’m concerned would be an understatement, having been around the Forza franchise since pretty much the start and experienced the same in previous titles pretty much the only things that ever got fixed were exploits, and new dlc added, now don’t get me wrong, that’s a good thing, but when you have major game breaking issues that seem to get pushed to the sidelines for the exploit fixes each and every time It makes me wonder if the current state of online in FH5 is what we are expected to just live with…
The past hotfix did pretty much the above, fixed exploits and that was pretty much it, even though it listed improvements to the online gameplay, online is still as bad as it was on the 5th, people disappearing every 20s or so, same in convoys, same in eliminator, horizon arcade matchmaking non existent, AI levels still broken, literally 0.5% AI traffic, pretty much the only way to play with a friend consistently is to create a route to play and both join it.
Now this wouldn’t be as concerning if we had some communication, its been a week since the hotfix and we have had no word on when the next update is coming, what the priorities will be focused on in said update etc etc…give us something to look forward to.
Yes i know there is a known issues page and yes ive read it and added to it, all I’m asking for is give the community some form of communication to let us know things are being worked on, interact with us, let us help and not feel worthless, we love this game and that’s the reason we are still playing it after all these years, but how much longer that happens is down to you the devs, FH5 has been the largest xbox and xbox gamepass 1st week in history and with so many eyes on the game that should be even more reason to be more communicative.
This is not intended to hate on anyone, just a plea for more communication and interaction with the community.
We got the message that the hotfix was live, and one about the hotfix delay prior to that, since the 17th apart from the 19th where it says about the known issues page, we have had no information regarding an upcoming patch or when to expect it or what is being focused on since then.
as stated FH5 has been the largest launch title of xbox and xbox game pass, there are more people new to the game than ever before so yes, they should be more active, im not talking about daily patches, im talking about more interaction, currently its only max posting in the thread every so often, last post was 6 days ago, im not saying max is in the wrong here since im sure he only posts whats being handed to him but on a launch title as big as this currently in the state its in there should be pretty much daily updates reasuring the community whats going on, if you think thats bad then i dont know what to say honestly…
As i said ive been around the forza franchise since the start pretty much, this is a repeating cycle, a hotfix goes out to fix an exploit here and there but that’s it, look back at the updates of any Forza title and you will see what I’m talking about, aside from adding in DLC fixes rarely apply to things other than patching out exploits, i mean there are game breaking issues in past games that never got fixed… that being said previous titles didn’t really have the current level of issues with online play.
I’m not the only person who is concerned about the current state of online and going by past experiences we have a reason to be concerned that what we have currently is what we will end up with, i clearly said there was no hate intended and this is genuine concern, if you had been around the franchise aslong as i had you would feel the same way.
All i was asking for is more communication/interaction with the community.
It’s pretty pathetic isn’t it? Almost 3 weeks and nothing has really been fixed. I don’t care if people are getting money selling jeeps I care about playing the game properly with my friends. Any goodwill this franchise had is gone for good. I will never spend a dime on a forza game again. They would be better off giving updates on progress but of course they don’t.
It will be called FH6 and is due earliest in 3-4 years. Expect better graphics, 8k content but exactly the same IT Design flaws. (Auctions will not be working, Networking issues, no option to choose what type of race you want to join, etc. etc. )
But it will be bigger sales than FH5. That is why they do not care. Sales is all that counts.
Personally, I’m not expecting any more fixes before 2022…will be pleasantly surprised if there is, just not expecting it
Wouldn’t expect communication on anything either…you are simply directed to the “known issues” list which may, or probably not, be being worked on…FH4 showed that a lot of bugs/issues don’t get fixed but simply get put in the “known issues” list to placate everyone and then promptly ignored
And yet, you still bought FH3, FH4, and you still bought FH5. Sorry but you dont even deserve to complain about anything lol. You get what you deserve. People really expect videogames to improve when they keep buying the same broken product over and over again? hahahahahaha. Im still have little hopes than in a few years people will finally understand why they should not keep buying broken products if they want to improve certain franchises or videogaming generally speaking.
Well, it wasnt really directed to you. I was speaking to every single new gamer of this generation.
Its hilarious the hypocrisy. People keep complaining about broken products but they still will buy em year after year classic. And they expect videogaming industry to improve…
I agree with everything in this.
FH5 isn’t their first attempt at producing a game but has certainly been the worst yet.
I’ve already posted multiple Tickets and notes on the forums but they just don’t seem to bother.
They’ve made probably Billions of Dollars so far and yet three weeks in and the game is as broken as it was at the start and probably the most broken game ever to be released.
Sad !!!
Something on the forum mentioned them celebrating 10 million players or something so, taking into account various costs, people playing via Game Pass etc and I would say it’s probably $500-750 Million that they have made. But that’s beside the point.
Your post just highlights the disconnect there is between the Developer and it’s fanbase…more communication would go a long way to ease tension. We have a Community Staff Member in ManteoMax who does a good job…but I don;t think even MM is told what is happening (or is allowed to tell us anyway). Take the current 2 Dailies not working in a row farce: An apology and “we are working on it” would go a long way
I thought there were two hotfixes… one during early access for connection issues, and then the larger one a week or two later. I’ve actually been surprised at the number and verbosity of News messages related to it. This is the Playground Games version of not shutting up about it.
