Why can't they just listen to the community?

numnuts16 Test drive and tune is in free play. Pick a track, load into the race (which takes you to the environment, doesn’t start the race, and you’ll see test drive and tune. I will say, it’s not intuitive but it’s there.
As for the other comments, I agree I prefer how rewards, etc. were done before and don’t like the microtransactions when I’ve already spent $$ (they should see all the controversy with NBA 2K.) I personally think the driving has improved and feels better than FM6.
Ultimately they need to fix the VIP issue (some sort of "permanent* or recurring rewards) and put back increased rewards for fewer assists/greater difficulty. Those two things will make a lot of people more satisfied.

I don’t think it has helped this version neither that T10 had to develop for 3 systems, xbox one, pc and xbox one x all of a sudden that’s their workload going up a hell of a lot from previous versions.
I think the game is very pretty and dynamic weather is good. Yesterday i was told wet race at spa, 3 laps thought around lap 2 it’ll start and go from there but the rain didn’t come that’s good, that’s realistic in my opinion.
And i do kind of like the homologation system as in C class can have certain power, tyre width and class regulations. Just like you’d have in real life. Saves someone building a 700bhp mini just for ovals online.
You wouldn’t see a Formula 2 car with more power than a F1 except maybe Mclaren Honda, oooooph bit bitchy that lol it’s ok though I’m a McLaren fan.
Anyway back to topic I think alot of things habe been done well and correct, I just feel they were pushed for time developing for multiple platforms and prob should have delayed till November 7th and had it as a One X Launch Title.
I miss class based Rivals and Multiplayer, I want Freedom to choose please.

Short answer: Marketing 101. The “community”, the people you see here for example, are the minority. The majority is the people who don’t read forums, don’t discuss with the developers, they just want cool and spectacular games. And Microsoft franchises are geared towards them, Forza included. It’s a poster child franchise that must be sold to millions, it has to be casual, trendy, spectacular and flashy. Why would they listen to us when they can sell the product to many more people? Look at the game, it reeks casual. It tries to sell the idea of serious track racing to people who are grown up playing Minecraft and Call of Duty. Not that there’s any problem with those games or those players. Just understand that Microsoft wants money out of this franchise and it can only be done if they gear it towards the majority of the players.

Even the dynamic weather is funny, because it’s a huge feature and extremely spectacular, yet you can’t set up your own race with a given weather type, you can’t set time progression or anything. It’s just for spectacle. I think it works for the game and for the franchise, I wish them huge success. But if you realize this is not the game for you anymore then it’s time to move on, or at least play something else too. Part of me is sad, really, because I’ve been a fan myself since 2005, the first Forza Motorsport. And I see it drifting away from what I wanted it to become. But I hope many more people will get to love it because of this. The same way I got to love it in the first place. Sadly business and marketing got the better of Turn 10 but they’re still going strong. I wish they never stop even if their games will not appeal to me anymore.

Voice concerns in the technical support section or tweet Dan/T10. Brian Eckberg mentioned in a post of his (from the main page, sorry I don’t have the link) that if you have an issue report it in the TS section or tweet T10. Doesn’t matter if they don’t respond. They should be able to look into it. Going by past history, many issues do get looked at and are resolved.

Fm7 is a very good and playable game.
T10 have listened and intruduled division specific hoppers as requested
Brought backs cars and tracks as requested
Made a more structured career mode as requested
Storefront as requested
I’m sure if I thought hard enough there are at least 5 other features they have introduced as requested

Howevery t10 are guilty of finding a problem and hitting it with a hammer to get a solution that often breaks everything else. They are guilty of going too far and they have taken a huge risk releasing the game with just 6 public hoppers, no spectate and a massive career grind to get the cars. Easily fixed no doubt but I really hope they don’t bring back class hoppers they have no place on fm anymore.

There’s no Storefront in FM7 … which has a lot of content creators upset.

So just out of general curiosity, who does Nadella report to? Bill Gates?!

Sorry I ment auction house u are correct it was heavily requested

Totally agree with your rant but im not so negative towards the homologation. When (if) they fix multiplayer and add lots of IRL race class lobbies it will mean more cars that are competitive and we won’t get the crap balance that Modern GT endurance was in FM6 where 50% of the cars were more or less useless.

Still, we need pi class lobbies, ABCs, yeah, all the old stuff, otherwise it will always be same cars vs same cars and no variation, that won’t be good. But if I remember right we had the same issue in FM6, online was awful at launch.

Then the launch dlc, Hoonigan. Why a lauch dlc to begin with… Then why Hoonigan? FM and FH have gotten infested with this imo crap. There are no proper race cars! They don’t belong. Why not a F1 pack, DTM, Proper rally with rally tracks like GT has had for a while?, GT3, yeah list goes on. This is a racing game. Pros to the fact the V8 supercars, Nascar and the WTCC/STCC cars are here! That is great!

I think it’s sad that T10 don’t even attempt to diffuse the situation… at all! It would be one thing if they could just even acknowledge these problems officially. The only thing I’ve seen was one tweet from Mechberg.
