Ok so has anyone found any info on this Elite Mode that they dropped when they released the achievements list? I can’t find anything about it. Is it just like a prestige replay mode in COD or is it a required higher difficulty setting i.e., no assists, pro drivatars etc… hoping for the former
No one knows. A few of us have speculated this is the surprise at the end of career mode that they alluded to back at GamesCom.
fwiw, the gamescom demo Assists menu for difficulty options were: Easy | Medium | Hard | Professional | Veteran | Custom
if I were to hazard a guess, it would disable all assists and put the drivatar difficulty to professional.
Maybe it is a zero gravity mode.
Now that’s a nice rig!
In all seriousness, we don’t know what elite mode is yet but the best guesses thus far are that it likely means all assists off and racing against the highest level of drivatars.
It really is. Some people, very passionate people.
Since this thread is speculation anyway, uh. Here is an elite mode player of elite dangerous with the most elite setup Ive seen.

EDIT: Updated link ^^
Yeah the no assists is one thing but I don’t think I’m alone in that playing against pro drivatars all the time is just nerve racking. Some people won’t admit but I will im not good enough to where winning against pro drivatars is my first choice for fun/pain and I still like to enjoy my gaming experience. The thought of playing the whole career mode a second time against only pro drivatars just sounds like a missed opportunity to me. And I know some people will say just don’t do Elite Mode, yeah I quit smoking already and that was probably easier.
If anything I would guess it may introduce additional objectives to the career races like the Horizon 3 expansions where you must come first and fulfill a chosen side objective. Or perhaps add a multi-objective scoring system like FM6: Apex. (But Apex was kinda bad so please don’t be this.)
Making it just a maxed out difficulty mode would be super lazy and make the career super inaccessible.
See now that’s seems more approachable. In Horizon it added flair but you could still adjust the difficulty to taste. If you wanted to do 10 ultimate passes against pro drivatars you could but if you just wanted to phone it in and do it against new racer drivatars then you could. You took the hit to your loss of xp and credits not playability.
if they do decide to do this with career mode, at least I know I will be able to complete it, unlike horizon. I still cant win a race to save my life in that game. i can beat pro on motorsport no problem, yet struggle in horizon, its truly sad.
All signs point to it only being unlocked after completing Driver’s Cup. Given the completion points based system, you might not have to do every piece of it to beat it, though. Either way it doesn’t sound like it will change much of anything besides just add more events now.
The AI in Horizon does cheat in some subtle ways, especially so in offroad/rally events. Having generally more traction than the player, having impossible PIs on certain vehicles like the Warthog, and the ability to outright ignore missed checkpoints.
- deep water doesn’t seem to slow them down. It will be interesting to see how well they can drive through puddles in Motorsport 7.
They were affected by the puddles in FM6 so I imagine it will remain the case in FM7.
“Elite” has been changed in the achievements description in the Week in Review.
According to the achivement list, there is a way to just “complete” and one to “fully complete” the career Championships.
I hope completing the career actually unlocks new content instead of padding the game out by making you play through the exact same races with non-sensical “objectives” thrown in.
Week in Review says:
Elite mode is unlocked after the first playthrough, and adds new events that won’t be available to people who wanted their Forza 7 experience to be fully offline.
