So you need to complete the game one time just to get EVERYTHING (showcases included) this can either be very good or very bad. I really hope that means suits and cars aren’t locked behind this. I mean they can be locked behind the base campaign fine. But if you need to do ridiculous amounts of races just to collect 700…
Oh, you’re going to have to do a ridiculous amount of races to generate enough cash to buy 700 Cars. Plus don’t we buy this game so that we have to do a ridiculous amount of races. I want there to be reasons to do more and more racing, instead of just some arbitrary, “I guess I’ll drive some more cars around to get some more cash and buy some more cars.” I would actually like more career events or showcases or anything in those regards.
haha ya, that was a bit silly considering the amount of time and races I’ve done to get almost 540 cars in horizon 3 (minus all the doubles sent off to the AH) with 700 and more hyper cars, race cars I’d imagine a lot more credits, time. I loved the showcases in 6 so I hope there are a bunch of those this time.
I really hope it is a form of new game +, where you restart the career but you have to do everything without any assists and a locked high drivatar difficulty
Really hope it isnt locked behind some stupid thing where you have to beat the game once.
I already race the AI on max settings with everything turned off.
Well the week in review makes it sound like it’ll just be the same Driver’s Cup career but ~40% longer, with no mechanic or difficulty changes. That probably explains away all the empty space in the cup event selections.
Oh, I’m positive getting all the 700 cars is going to take a while, even with all the best managerial choices like raising your level early by buying only the cheapest cars with lower prices still from the auction house, cherrypicked mods, grabbing all the opportunities Forzathon can give you each week for free cars, credits, XP, and whatever other cleverness you can come up with. And of course the blessing of the Crate God that lets you win some more randomly generated good stuff.
I’m also positive you won’t be anywhere near the end by the time you finish all Elite Championships, either. The top five expensive cars together cost 148 million $.
Really the only question is which is the most efficient race to make money and XP: which car, which class, which track, how many laps.
They’re referring to an infographic that appeared in the last garage update that showed the prices of the most expensive cars in estimated real-world value. The fine print on that image says just that and I imagine the prices of those cars will only be around 10 million credits ingame, which will still be a hefty chunk of change to save up. Due to the inclusion of the auction house, I doubt they’re going back to the 2 million maximum scale they used in the last two motorsports.
You have to take into consideration future dlc car packs when talking about the 700 car achievement. You will potentially be eliminating 100 of the high priced base game cars. Lots of dlc cars fall under 1 million credits.
The achievement description is to collect 700 cars, not 700 unique cars.
Buy 700 VW beetles and call it a day.
Could be wrong, but just based on the description, this achievement should be easy to boost. Of course I’ll be trying to blow useless credits and own as many singles as possible to enjoy to process of slowly acquiring needed cars.
I agree with you 100% and also believe you can buy 700 of the same car but there are also 8 Tier car collector achievements as well. I can’t for life of me understand why those two sets would just run beside each other. That makes me think the Tier collector ones may require unique whips. But then again, they also brought back the Thru the Pack achievement and I can’t understand that either.
Good point. I saw that today and was thinking the same thing. So the tier achievements may be grind heavy but ownership achievements can be done quickly. Kind of weird to have what seems like overlapping achievements. Idk what else could be used in tier.
At first I thought a tier = 100 cars until I saw tier 8. So I’m a little confused what is in a tier.
Car pass is 42 cars, there will likely be one or two more packs plus one or two addons with a handful of cars. I think it’s good for max 70 cars, but yes, those are free. A year of Forzathons gives another 50 free cars. Cars started at 12.000 CR. So buying 580 of those would be the cheapest way. That’s only 7 million CR.
It should be easy to use the achievement tracker to see if the cars need to be unique although you will have to buy at least seven of a model to find out…
I have always tried to buy unique cars rather than multiples of the cheapest…
Each car has a certain point value. You need a certain amount of points to go to next tier.
For example, to get from tier 1 to tier 2, you’ll need 400 points. There are 109 tier 1 cars. The VW Bettle has a point score of 40 and many other cars in tier 1 are 50-75.
It will take no more than 10 cars to reach the next tier.
You will have tiers done well before 700 car collection most likely.
