2 questions for Fm8, if anyone can answer or guess, thanks :0

Hi, so quick few questions here.

1a. Is there a driver stats tab? I remember older Forzas/especially Fm6 was incredibly detailed. From what I can see there is nothing?

1b. If they add it in later on, has the racing that I’ve already done been tracked through some backround tracking to log on driver stats? I hope so.

  1. What the heck am I supposed to do with credits? I have amassed 1.3m credits and the most expensive car in the game is around £400k? I’ve barely even played and I’ve achieved what seems like end game?? I can buy almost 3 of them already? Since I can’t spend it on upgrades, what now lol. I literally have 0 incentive to change the difficulty to get extra credits, heck, I don’t even need to race now what the heck.

Thanks.

Most of the rest of us dont have access to the game yet. Lemme ask you a question. Is there a difficulty option to extend the length of the singleplayer races? IE: FM7s options

Not really

I suspected as much. Cant even stretch out what precious little career content they were gracious enough to scrape off their plate for us.

My BIGGEST issue with the entire game is this. As you can clearly see in this thread I’ve been arguing on for weeks! Haha You should comment this there as I think it’s a super solid point!

Yeah Mick is right, the career tracks are fixed. Can’t do anything about that. I will say that the game isn’t anywhere near as good as what the developers made itself out to be. Everyone who bought this game will be ecstatic with it. It is new, has live updates and it is an easy game. Oh and it looks shiny and polished. People have either forgotten or never experienced videogames from 2008-2012ish. The games were built so unbelievably well especially for 11-15+ year old games, since Fm4 there has been so many things stripped, we are going miles backwards in terms of everything with the spice of “innovation”. Innovation that is just brain dead nonsense ideas. Load of garbage, pretty disappointing. 6 years of development and it doesn’t matter that it is “early”, you can’t patch/update or tweak the base of the entire game. This is what we got and I don’t know what they can do now, the entire thing doesn’t make any sense.

It is really weird for a Motorsport title to end up like this. Basically nothing in this game is accurate. You’re right, where the heck is the auction house aswell. This game is beyond a mess. I don’t get what happened man, I’m just really disappointed.

I thought I was being way too pessimistic about gaming. Leave it to Microsoft to slap me back to reality to realize; I was too optimistic.

My bare minimum expectation for starfield: atmospheric ‘bethesda style’ rpg in space with some deep loot systems.
100 hours of that game and I didnt even get that low hurdle cleared.
Bare minimum expectations for Motorsport: Stripped back almost every feature, But at least the singleplayer championships and endurance cups can keep me busy.
Looks like I cant even get that out of my $100 broken streak of preorder abstinence.

Exactly man, why is my vintage Ferarri basically the same price of some sedan LOL. The most expensive car is roughly £400k?? Older Forzas had this figure up to £5m+. This game has sooo many problems. Are the people who made this game actually braindead?? How do these ideas even come to light and are given the okay?? I’m telling you man, if the clowns in game development tried giving insight to the geniuses who built videogames 11-15 years ago they would’ve just gotten beat up and they would’ve just shut up about their horrendous ideas. Listen to this nonsense. The upgrade system, the balancing (car cost issue mentioned above), the fact that the rate of earning credits is pretty high yet holds no purpose (at this rate I could get maybe 30m credits from racing at a slow pace), the level to 50 all over again for a duplicate car, AI isn’t even better and that was their whole sales rep (the AI still rockets ahead, they just act slightly differently, not better or worse than older Forzas), the driver level just feels empty as it’s just kind of there with no breakdown of performance, then to top it all off I swear this game doesn’t look much better than even Fm4 and honestly Fm6 looked more clean cut/better to me. I swear I’m not making it up, the models/overall look of the game just isn’t right. There isn’t an auction house. Tune sharing has become less prevalent as to really hit those lap times you need set parts like e.g, a conversion/race tires or whatever. Many of those upgrades are unlocked super late. Nobody is playing for hours just to unlock that. Instantly killed the community feel of sharing/tuning cars.

The sad part is that they can’t really fix these issues. This is the base game and what they’ve worked on for over 6 years. You can update/fix the smaller points I made, but even still the fact that this even existed in the first place is ridiculous to me. Who thought that swapping hard earned cash from that expert difficulty no assists gruelling race you just struggled to reach 1st position to get the max payout, to only then kit out your ride and move up the ladder/career was a bad idea and needed a rework?? Yeah now I can unlock my car parts in a predetermined order for basically all the cars in the game as if this was a cod weapon unlock with levels and tokens or whatever.

Unbelievable, but what can you do now, ahhh. So disappointing.

HAHAHA. You can tell where their priority was with this games development. The text to speech narrator accessibility feature is on by default when you start the game. You know, because this game is prioritizing blind people over actual gameplay features.

Lowkey dying inside that I bought a Series X and bought the ultimate edition for a game like this…Been buying Forza since Forza 2, and not sure any of them have had me REGRET the pre-order until now. I guess we’ll see when my Series X arrives…

I honestly didn’t know what I was looking at. Like, that’s all well and good but that is such a minority of the population for who needs that, but enabled by default? Is anyone thinking at these studios? There are mountains of useless settings to give the illusion that you have a lot to tinker with. I’m telling you man, these dumb ideas would never have passed during the 2008-2012ish era of videogames. You would’ve just gotten laughed at for wasting everyones time and if you were persistent you were just thrown out. Now it seems like every dumb idea is taken onboard and is instantly chucked in the game. The upgrade system/car price cap nonsense is really bugging me now. That idea is just the most ridiculous thing ever. As if that makes any sense at all. Real life is real life and you can’t get anymore real that what is real life. In videogames, to me that lies with older Forzas like Fm4. Just a polished, no nonsense beast of a racing game. Now we have tokens to pay for parts and level unlocks like this is a cod weapon attachment. Like come on, this is like so many steps backwards, it doesn’t make any sense.

Why is this happening man, this has spoilt the game for me. Sure it is a nice game on the surface, e.g, I do like certain things like the segment time splits, decent idea, I like it. But the bad outweighs the good by miles and it is weird as these adjustments make the game much less realistic when in reality aren’t they striving for realism?

Ah I wish it was 2010 again, hate this era with all these clowns wasting air time thinking they have good ideas. Ruining the empire of Forza and even other videogames are doing the same thing. Stuff just ran out of ideas and the creative minds are long gone now.

100% same here. I too bought a Series X for this game. Graphically speaking this barely looks better than Fm6. I can’t believe this, 6 years for this pile of nonsense?

When are you getting your Xbox? Let me know what you think of Fm8 as at the moment, me, you and @Lens00788814159 are the only people who think alike as far as discussing what is wrong with this stupid game. Everyone else is just complaining about bugs and minor details that will be inevitablely be fixed, maybe the odd person will complain about the upgrade system. But yeah, I think a lot of people are blinded by the graphics whilst although they are nice, is it really that much of a jump from even an 8 year old Forza? We should be miles ahead eclipsing older games by now. 6 years of development should’ve felt like 10+ years and not 6 months. The stuff we talk about can’t really be fixed in a quick patch update, the developers really need to sit down and think for a moment before they rework like half of the game. Perhaps even read what we are saying. The attention to detail should be more crazier than ever. E.g, what the driver ate for cereal/his exercise routine and how that affects weight reduction/performance hahaha. But seriously this game is a step backwards. They’ve stripped stuff, renamed stuff for no reason then reworked stuff that just makes the game feel off and weird. To me they could’ve just copied and pasted the entire Fm6 game and changed the UI/minor detailing to keep up with 2023 and that would’ve been more ideal than Fm8.
