Was this Game ever Beta Tested and if so why so many bugs

I’ve been playing this Game since Forza 2 and I’ve never known a new release for a game to be so bugged. This is why I ask if its ever been Beta tested and if it is you should have sacked all the beta testers.
Bugs so far I’ve had, and the main one being the choice of cars when racing, buying, choosing any car, stalls and will not scroll down or choose from any menu to choose a car that’s needed in a race of any type, including collections, this is not all the time but varies when it feels like it.

Group chat is so bugged that its near unworkable, party chat when coming from an existing party cuts off when going to multiplayer, joining party chat in multiplayer cuts off when in a race, multiplayer chat is a roll a 6 and hope for a 6 to talk.

The Uvs for painting cars has deteriorated so bad that painting some cars now is either hit and miss or just not worth it anymore with having to minusculely line up every single detail and that the side to side swap is now even more off than it has ever been when doing car designs, as someone who has do UVs as part of my living I would be ashamed of the way most of these cars are done and would never release them.

it’s quite fun racing players who have no cars as well, racing around the track where all you can see is the diver and 4 wheels, nothing else, no car, just a driver and 4 wheels, but not really what i paid for.
if I wanted that I could have played Mario Cart.

Livery swapping between Forza 6 and 7, what was the point, when you’ve changed so many cars most liverys no longer fit the same cars in 7

When you set assists up for a race, why do they reset to a basic all on for the race after?

Thank you for the VIP rewards, still waiting for them to show up on anything after accepting the messages that I’ve been gifted anything and thank you for concentrating all you’re efforts on that instead of fixing the main bugs that would make gameplay better and more enjoyable as other pre F6 and Horizon releases

To add to that, the annoying thing today that your game decides not to work on my Xbox1 after a few hours, and when it crashed and I tried to relaunch it, it stalls and goes back to the home screen and shows me its now ready to Resume but nothing happens, first I thought I may need a reboot but after 4 tries I thought that may have been wrong and it wasn’t my consoles problem or that I have 70G left spare to run the game.

I could go on listing the amount of problems with this game and that’s why I wonder if its ever been Beta tested.

I paid £80 for the pre launch ultimate pack and this is the first time I have ever had to pay to be a beta tester, I feel your game was never ready to be launched and you have cheated all of us out of the ultimate pack and looking at the forums proves it, I do not think your product is up to Trading Standards

I share your sentiments somewhat though they should start to roll out fixes soon enough. Don’t be surprised if you see patches every Tuesday or at least a few times each month.

A patch every Tuesday ??? at this rate the game may be just about playable by the launch of Forza 8.

Why release a game that clearly is not finished, or even stable ? If I sent work out unfinished to customers I’d be embarrassed, and be constantly giving updates of what was happening and when it was going to happen, otherwise they wouldn’t be customers much longer. The guys over at project cars etc are probably doing quite well out of all this.

Well seeing how bad the performance on Windows 10 is who knows? I’m glad the letter to the community acknowledges that they are aware of it. Speedster996 mentioning a possible abbreviated patch schedule may breathe some life into the game sooner than later. May be worth it on the Xbox idk, but not pc at this point.

Fixes ? why should there be fixes every few months
if you ordered a pizza and you were sent a lump of dough and a few tomatoes, a raw tuna and a rotten mushroom that ran away,
what would you do?
would you want a what you ordered or a be given an 8th of a slice each month and then be told to be grateful for it or you wouldn’t have such a great prizewinning pizza

I saw this coming from a mile away that this was how the game would be released. It is quite upsetting that Turn10 is taking this route.

This is sadly just the state of gaming today, this isnt the first time a game has launched being a buggy game, and it wont be the last. Publishers push their greedy tactics onto devs, forcing games out before they’re ready, adding all these awful microtransactions, and treating the customers like garbage.
This is just an unfortunate part of gaming and for some reason people put up with it. Myself, I’ve been enjoying the game and performance wise on xbox, I’ve only had one instance of frame drops.

“Why so many bugs?”

Try to program anything. I doesn’t have to be complicated. It could be a few hundred lines of code to do something utterly trivial. I’d bet your code will have bugs to work out, despite being so basic. The most miniscule of programs are way more complicated. A major video game tremendously complex with more coding than I’d even venture a guess at. They could get 99.999% of the programming right and that remaining 0.001% could still be a long list of bugs. If we see X-amount of bugs after retail, how many thousands of bugs were being squashed during beta?

this is what Bera testing is for, then possibly an Alpha test, there is no reason for shoddy work when youve got a community of a few thousand people wanting to test play an item, after all, this isnt something a third party apple or android app some maker makes, this is one of the flagship Xbox games run by turn10, not Adam Bloggs and co from Cheam

The only reason they can do that is that people take it. maybe we should go start leaving true reviews of the game on as many sites as we can and not keep taking it.
don’t you think it strange just how many great reviews games get now that are not ready for release, some even days before they have been. Or the fact that on Xbox you cant add a review for a game?
GO hit them where it hurts, leave reviews on as many sites as you can saying how bugged this is

I totally agree with the OP.

While some of it fall on the devs (was there even a beta?), this is mostly the publishers fault. It is the same all around the business.

While the devs mostly have carte blanche when it comes to physics and the racing itself, the publishers set aggressive timeliness and deadlines that really throw a wrench into the development.

And then we have loot crates. I can imagine how this went; someone asked “how can we make FM7 the Overwatch of racing?”, and someone (from the publishing team, not a device) saying “loot boxes!”, when the correct answer would have been “look around… We ARE the Overwatch of racing!”.

Thank you for your feedback. You can contact the developers by email at forzafb@microsoft.com
