Here’s an idea for the next release of a Forza game… Rather than trick the community into buying what is essentially an open beta trial, how about running a free to play open/closed beta before the launch to iron out the glitches? I mean for this many problems to exist, it can’t have been beta tested first? Even the demo didn’t work properly to start with. It would save a lot of embarrassment and backtracking. I’ve taken part in many beta trials myself, and offered feedback directly to the developers on bugs, glitches and anomalies, in both games and software development.
Unleashing an unfinished game on the masses and charging them for the privilege of playing a game still in the beta stage is poor form. At least if people go into a beta trial, they KNOW there are going to be bugs, they KNOW it might not work, they KNOW some features might not be available and will still be in development, and they KNOW that these issues will almost always be fixed BEFORE the game is released to the general public, and indeed before they buy it. FM7 was nowhere near ready for release, and never should have been available before it was fully fixed. You’re supposed to learn from your mistakes, not make the same ones over and over expecting different results!!!

That’s exactly the word I was looking for to describe FM7 at the moment. BETA.
There are more bugs than cars.
How can people even justify a game being so unfinished at release?
Deadlines? Sure, but you expect to have major issues solved with the day one patch.
I wonder who, at T10 studios, tested the multiplayer and gave it the “ok go”. I don’t think it’s normal to have slow and buggy lobbies. 59 seconds available between races, and everything is so unresponsive you barely have the time to change car.
3-4 races and the game crashes back to the dashboard. You apply a livery and the game crashes to the dashboard. You scroll through setups and it crashes back to the dashboard (also happened in FM6 and was never fixed).
Ai ramming you with both limit aggression on or off (the effect is the opposite of what’s written btw).
These are the main 3 issues that should have been fixed over 2 weeks ago.

I’m glad it’s not just me ;0)

Yet again its quite clear there is no beta testing or quality control strategy.
The missing features will not go live before the launch of the xbox one x ascthats the console the game is meant for. Its only been crammed on the XB1 for the revenue return, thats why the game is almost completely a compilation of previous Forza bits giving us little or no new content.
T10 have no focus, they just broke out the scattergun approach.

Alpha tbh. I have not been on the forums here cursing but there is plenty going on with profanities flying at the screen over here. There are quite a few large issues that you can even overlook the little ones. I have different cars show up in my garage vista view to where the selection on the left is highlighted and it can be out by 5 - 6 cars. The tally board at end of race had 2 1st place 2 2nd and so on. I don’t recall either when I started all this and wonder if fixing something one end isn’t stuffing something up the other.
I’m not going to comment on the current state of the game … there’s enough of that out there already. But, I too have participated in video game beta tests before and would happily do so again for the next Forza game given the opportunity. And I’m sure there are plenty of loyal fans in the community who would also happily take part.
