I guess I’m not a Twitter guy. Maybe the ones I read lately didn’t have much complains and is just a coincidence.
And I know FH5 is not a perfect game without problems. I just believe that this game is not so bad. Maybe it’s because I’m still playing on Xbones. They made a very very good game for the last gen. And I’m glad for that. Since November I barely had any game breaking issues. Ok, lost progressions and missing Accolades were annoying and invisible Eliminators also. But after Dec 3rd those got fixed for me. Disconnections are much better now too. I also totally understand people getting burned out, bored or even angry at the Game/Devs/Studio/MS. It’s just that I can’t accept the “bad game” excuse for it. XD
I think some mean bad game in the context of the franchise itself.
FH2 on the 360 is a shocker by FH standards but still 1 of the best racing games that console got in it’s own right.
It gets on my nerves whenever I see someone throw the defender’s favourite word ‘entitled’ at people criticising the game or PG when if anything there’s an underhanded compliment in there that they expect and believe PG + the game in question has the ability to do better.
People who enjoy a game spend time voting in polls to indicate their enjoyment
People who have issues with a game spend time composing Tweets to criticise said game and voice their displeasure
I’m kind of in the middle at the moment: When racing with other people, then I enjoy it as you also have the banter from chatting at the same time as racing. However, when playing on my own, I get a little bored.
Well, it is not bad game. Although feels unfinished/incomplete.
If I would be photographer, drifter, cruiser or occasional player, than I would probably rate this game much higher. But I can’t.
PS. I’m not social media person either. Just quick checked few posts on official account. 3/4 of messages are car requests, rest are nomral messages + few bug info/bad reviews.
How can you classify a game’s quality when it isn’t finished?
It’s the very premise as to why the direction of the game is flawed, it’s no longer about racing and things that made it what it is. It’s now this ongoing, mundane checklist with a nice view.
Exactly that. Ignoring the bugs, it’s still a very good game. The frustration is that, certainly for those of us whose main enjoyment is racing, it feels a step backwards from FH4.
The only mode with real longevity is rivals and even that has the issue that there are thousands of broken times across all courses, which was not the case in FH4. I’m still playing it and will be for a while yet but that doesn’t mean it’s not a disappointment against prior FH games.
If I never played Forza Horizon I would have liked the game even with all the bugs and problems. But having played all horizon games and loved all of them I am so disappointed with Horizon 5. If they just made a new map of Horizon 4 and added som new cars I would have praised the game. But instead they really managed to make it the worst horizon game of them all. And when all the other horizon games have raised the bar a little upon the release, FH5 is the first to lower it. They almost removed the bar completely… Failure
To be honest I’m disappointed and getting a little angry at the game. Forza is supposed to be one of Microsofts flagship series and I have no confidence in their QA team or the direction the series is going in at all. I do really want to, I have enjoyed nearly every Forza game so far, even FM7 once they got it in a reasonable state a year after it came out. But this is getting beyond a joke.
Get some QA people that know what they are doing. People who really do play the game and enjoy car culture. Consult people that work in the motor industry about the cars rather than fortnite fans. Honestly I would suggest getting new social media people too. People who are fans of the franchise, not people that want to big note themselves into a little fame.
I also went through the phase of disappointment, now I’m coming into the anger stage. I mean I did shell out 100 bucks assuming they couldn’t possibly ruin the game. So much would have to go wrong for me to even come to that conclusion but that’s exactly what happened. Its nowhere near as fun as the last game, I normally defend anything PG puts out but no way can I defend this new direction. The changes that they have made has brought down the fun/enjoyment, the engine from the last game was so good but they decided to go away from it. I want to enjoy the game, I really do but after an hour I turn it off because it’s too frustrating.
Just when I have a couple of relatively good days with the game, I have a complete disaster of a day where I run into the crashes and bugs again. This week’s trial is just about the worst when it comes to disappointment and anger.
I’ve already moved on to other games. I play this game a maximum of 1 hour per day and when I do I’m generally waiting in some sort of queue. This game is in dire need of quality of life improvements, bug fixes and new content.
Just like many members of the FH lead team who left FH ( now working on Fable), I am done with FH. I spent so many hours on it, tried to contribute but now it’s time to let it go. imho, this last FH proposed nothing but regressions to players interested in racing online in open world.
I was having a more difficult time in life when FH4 was released and maybe it was that, but I absolutely dove headfirst into it and couldn’t stop playing it. Life is much better now for me, and maybe that’s why, but I don’t feel the same level of needing to play FH5. I’m enjoying it, I like looking at it and listening to the engines, and the other usual car game things, but I dunno. Something is missing and I don’t know what it is. I still enjoy it, though.
The game is fun looking past the fact there are irritations. Dark races…most of the time alone in the open world…during drift sessions with a group in the open world, they all vanish…the loading times, even when it is just a simple menu change…the lack of choice in online racing…the inconsistent AI, they suck then they are god speed…neverending A class and B class in online racing, s2 is rarer than undercooked chicken. Now that I have made myself overlook these faults I guess you could say I’ve trained myself to like this game being I paid $100 for it. Funny thing is everytime I purchase other things I don’t have to overlook faults and try hard to justify it’s credibility. It’s fun but is exhausting at the same time
The game is good but i get bored because I have done everything on it so haft the time i just play when the next season car comes up but now that your not making anymore series i may stop playing
