Useless Vehicles

I strongly feel that Forza is starting to take racing motorsports more lightly thru the years. I’m noticing more prop vehicles then Pedigree sportscars/ racecars. (I.e Every Truck, van, Stationwagon, the worthless f&f Gurka, the limousine, those vehicles are for show and fun and they should be left with the Horizon series. I’m positive that any car enthusiast wanting to get a fix by purchasing a core racing simulator is looking to set hot laps in a 97 Defender or wait a monthly for DLC to receive a Plymouth Fury. There are car wish list forums decades long asking for cars (I.e. BMW i8) but we get presented wasteful vehicles. I almost switched to Project Cars as my go to simulator. So let’s quit wasting codes and space on my HDD with vehicles that’s has nonthing to do or very little to offer in the world of motorsports. S/n(Don’t make bad decision like your cousin Halo6 has. I think it’s fun for painters to have long and large cars like the limousine .

Thats what… nevermind

I gotta agree especially when the best driver cars of the last 2 years are missing. Not “my” version but the British and American car mags. If you look at motortrend, road and track, car and driver, top gear - they always do a yearly best drivers car. You’ll see that forza is missing half or more from this list of maybe 25 cars.

Some of that is due to Porsche but I have to believe that there must be licensing issues or we’d already seen the gtr nismo, 488 ferarri, both cadaliacs that blew by the m4 this year, the mclaren 575 and lt edition, the new viper ACR which btw just set about every track record imaginable - even beating out the million dollar Porsche 918 and mclaren p1… Instead I have 20 dlc cars that I’ve literally never driven and in fact often ruin multiplayer …

For car lovers like myself I’m left wondering what drives them to spend time on silliness when the most important modern cars are only half accounted for…

I think that say's enough. Even though they are not exactly good race cars. they are extremely fun cars to race.

Also I use them regularly in the hoppers, Drive cleanly, might not win but often get podiums.

I enjoy tuning up cars that, at first blush, don’t look all that competitive and see how far up the leaderboards I can get them. It’s a fun challenge. Saracasmo Jones and I have been trading fast laps in Rivals over the past month.

I wholeheartedly agree. Forza 6’s DLC has been horridly disappointing so far (except the Mobil pack, which is OK considering we got the One:1 and C63), and I just got November’s pack on the 30th, which was free (Car Pass), otherwise I wouldn’t have got it at all. I bought the Car Pass in advance because I thought they’d all be awesome like FH2’s, but that was a mistake. I have to admit, if they want to keep me interested, start giving me brand-new (not just new to Forza) road-legal cars, like the CTS-V, ATS-V Coupe, 488 GTB, new NSX, GT-R Nismo, Viper ACR, M2, i8, Charger Hellcat, new Camaro, Alfa Giulia, etc. If they keep giving me things like a Cadillac Limo, Christine, Holdens I’ve never heard of or care about, and 40 year old race cars, count me out. I may just stick to Horizon: better cars, more fun, open world, road driving, no race cars.

I for one would like to see more ultra modern cars released via DLC - there are simply too many classic car. I don’t mind the racing cars of any ilk, but for sure, we need more modernity when it comes to cars!

Please do. Why would people complain about race cars, of all things, in a game that’s called Forza Motorsport is beyond me. It’s like complaining about there being too many soccer balls in FIFA.

To the OP: you may call there cars junk, but for some they’re treasure. And guess what? They paid the game just as much as you did.

If you ask me, I think that these so-called “useless” cars are actually some pretty nice additions to the franchise, not to mention that it adds to the diversity of the cars available. As for the lastest supercars, it takes months to get a car in a game in this day and age. Also, I’m pretty sure that the cars for the next packs have already been planned out.

Everyone has their own taste in cars, whether it might be cherishing the earliest cars to hot rods to classic subcompacts to muscle cars to 80’s and 90’s Japanese drifters to retro supercars to modern supercars to off-roaders to modern subcompacts to hot hatches to luxury sedans to everyday sedans to coupes to minivans to trucks to SUVs to economy cars to open-wheel cars to rally cars to touring cars to prototypes to GT race cars to spec-series race cars and everything in between. It just isn’t feasible to please everybody.

A lot of cars they are adding cant be used in any of the career mode races , such as the new koenigsegg or fury and i can’t understand why there are so many that can’t be used . However i love to race the fury and i hope they keep adding cars like that and perhaps they can add more like the chieftain and 300 so there can be some vintage american racing classes

EVERY car included CAN be raced, and probably is raced somewhere.

Formal organizations for those cars, outside of the careers, should be included!

Formal multi-class racing should be included too! 24 cars flying around the track at 200+MPH is always cool, but once it settles, you hardly see anyone, so you are simply driving alone. If they brought back the multi-class races, especially with 24 cars on the track, [except when two are playing on the same console, WHY?] you can have 12 and 12, which could make for some interesting traffic Especially if you have Hummers, JEEP Grand Cherokees, or Ford pickups [as a class] attempting to dodge the original Mini Coopers. Better yet, put you in a Mini, and have to souped up JEEP GC’s flying around while you’re trying to race!

Forza is a lot more than just a racing simulator to a lot of people

Heres your daily reminder

-Stop taking yourself and these games so seriously
-No one here really cares that you’re switching or PCars or uninstall the game

Seriously getting sick of you guys acting like just because YOU don’t want these cars, NO ONE wants these cars

My racing crew and myself have had plenty of amazing racing using these off beat cars because they are not only fun to use, but also a challenge. How can you make the Defender into a race car? or how can I make my limo do a 9sec 1/4mi? Or even my personal favorite from 4za, how can I used a smart car to humiliate an entire Bclass lobby.

Thats what Forza has and will always be, always serious, but never too serious to be beyond some good, simple fun. If you cant wrap your entitled little head around it, then I say good riddance, go switch to Pcars or Assetto Corsa

You and your 5 club members can drive your Mario kart livery pointless Defenders “race car” on a Nintendo . And it’s not about being too serious or butt hurt but when ppl start pending 60 to 400 dollars on a product that promotes Motorsports and car flair but Recive crap vehicles on via the standard game, or DLC cause the 10% (Jer Chris Mary and Paul) want play around in a Willys MB Jeep. As stated before the playful vehicle are solid for horizon but as their core tittle, more buyers are look for the wish list car that everyone and their grandmothers post on these forum weekly and not a VW Scooby Doo van.

Agreed that some players who use these “silly” vehicles cause problems (Rammers) but then again…

Painters want something to paint, and nice big and relatively smooth and large canvas is what specially the fantasy painters like, Enter Vandura Transit VW type 2 and Limo.

What it comes to trucks

I’d say Ford and Dodge have a lot more pedigree on racing than SsangYong, Granted their racing pedigree is more form the offroad side.

Most muscle cars in game have historical value, some on Oval, some on Circuit and some on Drag, and some are “movie stars”

Abarth 595 esseesse? Beetle? Mini? all were raced in Europe and there is still “historic” races and you can spot all of these racing there.

to be honest if I start really searching I can find some racing to 95% of cars in game.

Then again, I find most actual race cars in game rather boring, exeptions are vintage racecars like Can-Am cars, Early GP cars, GP Legends, etc.
What it comes to supercars, I couldn’t care less, and same goes to most GT cars and track toys. If you ask me we have already way too many, but I actually understand that it is just my opinion, and don’t whine about it. cause there many others that enjoy those cars, Some use only those cars and hey it’s great that there is SOMETHING for EVERYONE

Hold on, I need to make some sense of your post and tell you exactly why you’re being a whiny, entitled, little child

Gotta throw that insult because? Gotta feel big, gotta have friends! (right?)

Mario Kart Livery’d Defender
Good idea I needed a livery to put on mine. But if you cant be bothered to learn to tune and make these useless cars useful then I don’t really know why you’re playing Forza in the first place.

“And it’s not about being too serious or butt hurt but when ppl start pending 60 to 400 dollars on a product that promotes Motorsports”
*spending, *people. Dot let your anger ruin your spelling child. As for legitimate motorsport, I would like to invite you to go search to Bowler Wildcat. Again sticking to the Defender for a second. The
Wildcat is a lightend (something you can to Forza) super powered (Something you can do in Forza) racing tuned (see the pattern here buddy) version of the Land Rover Defender 90. Nothing, literally nothing is stopping you from making a replica wildcat in Forza, hell they even have the body kit available

“As stated before the playful vehicle are solid for horizon but as their core tittle, more buyers are look for the wish list car that everyone and their grandmothers post on these forum weekly and not a VW Scooby Doo van.”
I don’t even know where to start, I guess the misspelling of Title? The scooby doo van not having a brand? The shut out of anyone having any resemblance of fun in a game (the thought just makes me shutter with fear!)

I mean your entire argument, this entire thread embodies why I hate the entire forza community. You are whining about a minority of cars that you call useless, refusing the see any kind of fun or potential they have, and because YOU dont like these cars NO ONE can or should like these cars. I’ll race you in them, (seriously add me) I’ll probably lose, my tuning set ups need improvement.
but like hell am I not going to have fun about it.

tl;dr - Grow up, your wants and needs are not everyone’s wants and needs

I honestly don;t understand the complaint -

THIS VERSION (since FM3 for me) has by FAR the most dedicated race cars ever.
Would I like to see more you betchya - but no I wouldn’t complain once about the 20 or so oddities.

There are all sorts of complaints to be had - but its really hard to take yours seriously when taken into context.

You know, when posting your opinion (which is all that it is), it helps if you don’t act like a dick as that gives you little to no credibility. Let’s get something straight here, at the end of the day you’re just a kid playing video games. There’s plenty of ultra modern supercars in FM6 to satisfy the appetite of people like you, how about showing less selfishness and let others enjoy the other cars in the game without pretending it somehow impinges on your ability to play.

Just for fun, here’s a complete list of the cars I figure have little to no place in True Legit Hardcore Motorsport that appear in the game:

-Most of the Sport Utility Juggernauts (though some of the souped-up pickups are kind of cool)
-The Cadillac Limo
-The Ford Country Squire
-The '75 Bronco
-The Ford and GMC vans
-The Hummer
-The Terradyne
-The VW Bus
-The '45 Jeep

That’s, what, less than twenty (not counting cars like the VW Beetle and Abarth Fiat 595 that had a history of amateur/entry-level weekend-racer cred)? And yet for each of these novelty cars, I can name at least four, maybe five actual legit race cars in this game – including the entire Can-Am, 1970s Grand Prix, Endurance Prototypes, Early GT, Modern GT, Legends of Grand Prix, Global Touring, Historic Sportscar Racing, and V8 Supercars divisions. I’m not 100% positive, but I’m pretty sure there are more dedicated, purebred race cars in Forza 6 than there are in the entirety of PCARS.

I mean, not to be snarky, but of all the problems Forza 6 has, “does it have enough race cars” is at the ABSOLUTE BOTTOM of the list. The OP’s complaining about the Plymouth Fury in a pack that gave us the fastest Indy car of its era, the last Ferrari to win Le Mans, a track-ready Australian homolgation special, and a fire-breathing IMSA-dominating circuit monster. Maybe he’s still stinging from last month’s pack, which “merely” gave us a Datsun roadster that Brock Racing Enterprises put countless track miles on, the car that dominated the '79 Bathurst 1000, two recent prototypes, a specialized single-make-race touring car, an over-the-top bonkers Group 5 racer that owned its division in FIA, and Ayrton Senna’s MP4/4. No, wait, I’m sure it was that DLC with the limo in it that put the permanent stink on things, and completely canceled out the Caparo T1, and a classic underdog Honda F1 car, and the Mercedes '39 Silver Arrow, and another IMSA monster that won two of America’s most grueling endurance races. But I guess none of those are legit race cars like the BMW i8. Though to be fair, I do want to see that one make it into the game so I can find out how badly it’d get whooped by a '79 M1 Procar.
