what i don’t get is the selection of trucks. why did they include off road trucks yet completely ignore 90% of the trucks that enthusiasts actually race in the real world?
trucks that should be in a racing game just to name a few off the top of my head…
Ford Lightning
Dodge Ram SRT10
Dodge Dakota 5.9R/T
Toyota Tacoma Xrunner
Chevy 454 SS
Dodge Little Red Express
Chevy Trailblazer ss
pretty much the only ones they got right was the Syclone and the Jeep SRT8.
the rest of the trucks in this game should be car haulers in the vista garage. lol.
Going back and reading this thread again and just giving it a bit of thought, I fail to see why you need this in FM6. IF you enjoy this so much in Forza Horizon 2 why not go to Forza Horizon 2 to enjoy this and play this kind of game. Motorsport is clearly a different beast.
Go do your off-road trucking in Horizon 2 and then come to Motorsport 6 to do your track racing.

Before you all freak out or start flaming, might I suggest you read my post on page 1 advocating the addition of some more trucks and SUVs.
The 2017 raptor is a fun b class vehicle to race , the f100 makes a pretty decent c class vehicle I was keeping up with lotus’s and running the same lap times as them today online
Having vehicles that aren’t usually used in circuit racing adds a bit of comedy and some extra challenge because you can’t drive them like sports cars. You just need to have a sense of humor while racing these things. Since it’s first appearance in a Forza game, I have somehow managed to put a GMC Vandura on it’s roof in each game on the same corner at Silverstone. I haven’t done it intentionally, I just run over a rather big curb while carrying some speed through a corner and… oops. It still makes me laugh.
Personally, trucks should always be in Forza for those of us who like to roleplay or just drive around and giggle when I’m running 140 in my Escalade. However saying that they don’t make sense isn’t fair, because there is alot of vehicles that don’t make sense in the game: for example BOTH Hellcraps. We don’t, didn’t, never will need both yet they’re there.
How about instead of whining about the trucks and suvs racing, why not embrace the diversity that Turn10 gives us?
Nope, just not a fan of re-engineered 2015 base models being resold as Hellcraps. I’m an original SRT fan, 2003-2010 because after that they went down hill. They can’t even give away the Viper lol
Seeing posts against trucks makes me smile. It’s sad how petty the arguement is. In fact, I hope they add more trucks, because I actually enjoy driving them, no matter what game. So what if they aren’t built for the track? You folks do realize that there are some regular cars in the game that were never designed for racing, right? Cars like the Rolls Royce Wraith, and the Ford Country Squire for example. Heck, it didn’t stop Gran Turismo from adding cars like the Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie, and Assetto Corsa from adding the Reliant Robin.
As many have pointed out, if you don’t like them, don’t drive them. Nobody is forcing you to, but remember that there are some that do enjoy these large lumbering trucks. Saying that they should be removed from FM6 is rather selfish.
I personally don’t see the problem. If the game had few choices of vehicles to race in then yeah it would be an issue, a racing game having a higher percentage of trucks to racing cars but as it currently stands I feel the balance of vehicles is quite good. As long as people are racing cleanly I have no issue with them being used. Can add an extra challenge to a person. Can I get this SUV around the track faster than this other joker in the race car. Good achievement if you manage it. My problem is if they are used for wrecking which is done with other vehicles including track cars anyway. Most people who want to race to win race the proper cars anyway. So with this level of diversity, I really don’t see much of an issue.
It let’s people set up their own racing events that use these cars.
It is personal preference and T10 are trying to accommodate as many as they can in some small way. I don’t view this game as a pure racing game, so perhaps that is why my views on it are what they are.
I don’t mind the trucks or suvs. I mean there is a career spot for them. . an SUV and truck races.
I love the whole “keep the trucks and suvs” to horizons… that is comical because I think they should leave the race cars out of Horizons.
Driving a lambo or well… ANY FREAKING CAR through some farmers ground is stupid and why I hated that game. Cars should be street, trucks should be off road.
Horizon should be street racing in cars and then off road stuff to suvs/trucks. Its stupid that the race starts out in the streets and then suddenly goes into the dirt. Stupid.
As far as Forza having trucks? I would love to see some rally racing or dirt tracks for the suvs and trucks… having them on tarmac is weird.
I like the SUVS, fun if you just want to mess around with your friends or to play with on the test track, and as for trolling vehicles they can’t be used in any circuit racing, just drifting and tag, (if there are some SUVS that can be used in circuit, I hope they take them out) and any vehicle can be used as a trolling vehicle, so it’s not fixing anything to take them out of the game, and I don’t think removing them will fix anything, because nothing needs to be fixed, I think the SUVS should be taken out of every game mode except for tag, because SUVS are easy to dodge
The problem I see is SUV should be represented, but they shouldn’t go over board. It’s a small niche, and honestly only a small part of the community use them.
Also the bigger suv and trucks have different brake points and slower corners speed tend to add unnecessary congestion even if people try to race clean. It’s good they have there own league, or ghost lobby.
What I find funny is all they people complain about not being able to run there SUV/truck in normal lobbys, but when the have a league for them, nobody runs them.
