Motorsport is Motorsport. Absolutely yes. But only with the proper tracks or proper race environments. NASCAR Trucks for example. But not the mixed venue truck, car, suv racing of Horizon. That kind of “play” racing belongs in Horizon.
Rally belongs on Rally tracks so FM8 would have to bring in Rally environments.
Only thing about dirt tracks would be short track dirt tracks and those would be a bit too limiting as most are just 1/4 or 1/2 mile tracks. The off road venue is probably best left strictly for Horizon as there are really no dedicated off road racing venues.
So dedicated racing trucks such as NASCAR and Rally cars are the only ones really fitting to add into Forza Motorsport.
Also, they make just as much sense as adding in drifting.
But before either of those where ever considered for Motorsport, I’d want to see dedicated drag racing “on a full scale level” added to Motorsport.
The Ford Supervan 3 would fit in with the “Forza Special” category, I think.
Sports SUVs like the Lamborghini Urus, Aston Martin DBX, Ranger Rover SVR, etc. Yes, why not?
I live about 45 minutes from Spa Francorchamps, and it’s not uncommon to see them on the circuit.
I voted No. It should not be a “focus”. I detailed the options I would be willing to accept trucks (racing only - no svu’s vans, or other such stuff) and Rally cars.
If people want to run the wider range of vehicles on these tracks in track day meet ups then lobby for a few tracks to be included in Horizon. Or go to Horizon and build the track you want with the event lab.
i voted no this is a racing game if you want all our updates, instead of having gt3 and hypercars for it to have kei trucks and suv then gran turismo is doing exactly that.
Rally cars, yes. Tarmac is a valid surface for rallying, and there are a bunch of rally cars that were particularly effective on tarmac.
Trucks, as in actual truck racing, yes. It was in FM7 after all.
Minivans, why not. I like regular sensible cars turned stupid. I think a Zafira OPC and S-Max high performance would make a nice complement with an Audi RS2.
And halfway between trucks and minivans, I would also take the Ford Supervans too.
I’d say there could be a place for actual utility vehicles, like panel vans, or 80s/early 90s pickups that were still designed to be useful and not dumb, overweight wastes of space. Basically, the limit would be the GMC Syclone or Ford F150 SVT.
