I could really do without the Top Gear track. The “events” that occur there are absolute nonsense. “Tour of London?” Just a lot of clutter on the track, and the route is all but unrecognizable. “Bowling?” Now that’s a real race, eh? I know… some people like variety and novelty. But as for me, these events have about as much to do with real racing as donkeys do with basketball. Leave them out of Forza and stop messing up the accomplishments with garbage.
This thread is booooooooring.
Top Gear is a part of the FM series, as you know if you’ve played Forza before FM5. And the Top Gear team is mostly about nonsense (anyone who has seen the show can’t argue with me. EDIT: I LOVE fun nonsense like TG [and their test track] where people argue over nothings, please don’t get me wrong), so this should be expected. We can’t all love all the parts of FM5. Have a nice day!
I enjoy racing with others on the Top Gear full circuit. I can’t say the same for all the variations though, I find those to be quite boring. As for the odd events that take place there during career mode I could take it or leave it, don’t really care either way.
I would rather have a real track than this airport track. Everyone always votes against this track in multiplayer, but as long as they keep adding free tracks I’m not complaining
I find myself getting lost on the top gear tracks often. I always tell myself to turn on the line next time but mostly forget until the track is loading.
Have you tried looking at the map?
Lol, well yeah. The scale of the dot to car is probably 10:1 though so it doesn’t work out to anything more than a generic indicator for me. The only one I really have a problem with is the ribbon that takes you reverse through the section Jeremy tells everyone to take flat out and the Stig always drops his left side off of. The map tells me the turn is coming but I always catch it late anyway.
I love the top gear test track and I love top gear. I would be very very sad if they cut this track.
I definitely love the Top Gear affiliation as well, even if I do have to run through a bunch of bowling pins every now and again.
The track may not be a racing Mecca like the other real-world tracks, but with the BBC show now an international favorite, the track is certainly iconic and absolutely deserves inclusion. I like it.
I personally love the bowling, it’s different, and FUN.
And I would give ANYTHING to have “Tour of London” layout as an option in Free Play!
Opps… sorry for the semi-but-relevent-wishlist
Although I somewhat agree that the events that take place in career there are not totally needed. It is something to get you out of the constant grind of actual racing.
The track itself, well I could run laps there for hours on end. It’s a very fun track to race on.
Oh well, we are all entitled to opinions and I will respect yours haha.
Top Gear track is fun. But on drift hoppers its awful. 10 laps on Top Gear East is the cure for insomnia.

Definitely - it will get you up and paying attention right quick - and is a fun and actually challenging section despite being fairly short.
I pretty much never play on Top Gear because it almost always gets voted down. Honestly, that suits me just fine.
I like it, I wish there was a rival event with the reasonable price car they use in the show, stock, one lap start to finish.

It’s called Forza 4
While I agree with including the track and some of the more “unconventional” events on it (which are really fun and a nice break from racing), I don’t really think we need 7 variations of it. I would expect the full track and maybe the loop and loop reverse but I think having the really small ones are a little pointless. That being said, I’m a high class racer, so maybe them tracks favour slower classes, and I will fully believe if someone turns around and says slower cars have great races on them.
As far as online goes, the full track has been ruined for me. Whenever it comes up in the multi-player hoppers, it seems everyone goes into demolition derby mode. Actively aiming to hit people at the cross section and completely cutting the track to T-Bone you. Even just plain cutting the track to win. Whenever it comes up, I either pull over and let the race go or just back out and find a new lobby. It’s bit of a shame really because I bet you could have good races on it.
This is just my opinion, however.
Driving it is something I love. Racing on it is a different ball game. Its a test track not a race track

I concur with your opinion.
