I recently took about a 3 week break from Xbox. Came back and booted up Forza and I have to say I have really enjoyed the multiplayer and new penalty system. Much more fair. And I feel like the graphics have gotten a face lift. Just something positive to put out there.

Yes that extra brightness is gone! it looks better now.
Yeah MP got allot better in 8. Also colors pop now, most every video on YouTube bashing fm23s graphics is hopelessly out of date now.

Just to add some more positivity here. I’ve been playing some GT7 elsewhere. Returning to Forza and have to say the feel of the cars and the chase camera is just fantastic when using a controller. The T10 team have nailed that for me

Totally agree ive not touched GT7 since Forza came out. Feels great on a controller.
I’m also seeing improvements graphically. Some really nice lighting and reflection’s especially in wet races. I’m on Series X so I’ve never experienced Ultra settings on PC. Game looks really nice set up right on my tv.

Chase cam is to racing games, what pong is to… 
um, racing games. Cockpit view is the racing game view.

I can understand each to their own on how they want to play the game tho 3rd person view gives an advantage over where the opponents are that can be used for intentional blocking or ramming.
There really needs to be a better system for those that use first person views as it’s near impossible with the system in place atm to know exactly where the other player is at especially under braking zones (maybe a brown then yellow then red on the arrows?)
Good example was last night, had a good challenge at Road America after that cheese sign into the left hander, the other player was obviously in first person view and I had better brakes and took the inside line and got it done but they pulled into me and it sent them bouncing off with full lock then they tried to recover and were taking out by 2 others that ran wide thus ruining their race. We both put down 2:17’s in A Class open and it would have been a great challenge if they had a better understanding of where I was e.g a GT7 Style awareness

It would be nice to have a functional race spotter. Personally, i do not want this radar garbage anymore than I want those silly arrows. Either give me a good functional spotter or a good working mirror so I can at least be my own spotter.

I wouldn’t mind a mirror in all camera views, plenty of room for one at the top of the screen

Good for you, glad to hear it.
Meanwhile, others are also wishing that the game becomes enjoyable again - get rid of FOMO, improve car sounds across the board, etc.
