I love this game!

,

I have so much fun with this game every time I get behind the wheel in my play seat. I also see the small flaws, but for me they are insignificant next to the feel of the physics and the dynamics of weather and lighting.

I’m posting this as to bring some positive vibes into this forum. It surely needs it.

Great that you enjoy the game. Despite all the flaws the driving is, for me, the best and most fun. That’s why is still play and still enjoy the races (mostly).

If you simply don’t listen to your community, this is what happend ! Like in Real World. If you don’t do your job well, you get the receipt

I totally disagree. T10 did a great job even though the game was not perfect out the gate. For all the small annoyances, the physics are great, the car selection is great and the graphics engine is great after 3.0. This is a subjective opinion and you are certainly entitled to yours, but don’t think for a second that they didn’t do their best on this game.

I used to hate the game, but now I’m not caring much for it. It’s the weakest mainline Forza Motorsport game by far, but it still feel likes a Forza Motorsport and it makes for easy Game Pass quests if there are some. Good thing I did not purchase the game and played through Game Pass, because I would sure have been disappointed in it.

No it’s better than both FM2 and FM3… FOR ME.

Oh and the physics are vastly superior to FM7.

When you compare the older Forza games, then Turn10 did a bad job. The backlash is so big because we know they CAN do better. The Singleplayer in this game doesn’t deserve the name. You play Forza MOTORSPORT yet you can’t use racecars in career. There are no endurance races and with the CarPG system you basicly only drive stock cars in career unless you want to play the career races over and over again. But that isn’t fun either because of the braindead AI.

I used to play 90% Singleplayer and 10% online with friends. Now I play 99% online but not with friends because nobody in my friedlist plays it and some of them where huge Forza fans,

The Multiplayer in this game is good, what ruins it is the people who play it. The amount of crashing and ramming is ridicoulus.

Turn10 has A LOT of work to do to fix this game but after the last 3 months players lost hope in their ability and willingness to do so.

I’m glad you’re enjoying FM8, but the game is really not regarded as highly as the Xbox 360 games by players who played them and FM8. Back then, nobody would’ve thought that a Forza Motorsport game would need a redeem arc after release.

Awesome to see. I like the gameplay and have spent a lot of time with the title. It’s still in a very rough state though. I am hopeful that Turn 10 will fix the game, but it would have been better if the game was more polished before it’s release.

Have fun out there!

I definitely agree with you. It’s a really good thing that the driving part of the game is already good. I hope Turn10 can turn the other parts around even if it’s going to be rough. I’ll always be at home driving cars in Forza.

The driving (physics) is the best there currently is on a gamepad, IMO.

However, everything surrounding the the driving needs A LOT of work to be able to call itself a full retail release.

It also desperately needs a lot more content, too.

To be honest, my biggest gripes with the game are big ticket items e.g. Car Leveling and XP system, and more tracks to race on (content!)… But if those were addressed fairly quickly, I could live with the game slowly evolving in other areas like most finished and polished games do once they’ve released.

T10 can do better and we, as paying customers, DESERVE better… Even if some of us used Game Pass to “try before we buy”.

Thanks for the positive response bro! I’m 100% certain that they will fix all that needs fixing. There will be those who have been super-negative towards FM8 that will be praising it whenever FM9 comes out too.

I friggn like the game too. Maybe it is because they adressed my needs that made me suffer in forza 5, 6 and 7. I like driving. And this game is all about driving. The core rocks. I am not into the best single player (nice to have) nor do i count trees at the track or interior buttons. I want racing and atmosphere. And here forza delivers. I am really curious what we get over the next year.

I agree, the core of the game is really good, other things can be fixed or added over time. Game runs pretty smoothly on Series S and physics are a huge improvement over earlier Forzas. After playing GT series for years (rather decades, really) FM 6/7 physics always felt a bit “off” for me. This one is different, it’s fun to drive.

FM7 needed a ‘redeem arc’ though and it turned out pretty darn good.I still have fun playing it.But it released with a respectable amount of tracks AND some really unforgetable ones too.I love me some Prague and was looking forward to playing it in this game, many hopes were dashed.

For me Update 3 addressed most if not all the gameplay issues I had (mainly the disappearing/reappearing assets). They still have a lot that needs to be fixed in my opinion, but in comparison to Gran Turismo 7, I think it beats it as far as the driving engagement and sound ambience is concerned. That said, GT7 has the superior graphics/lighting, customization, and overall content as of right now, and it’s definitely no slouch in the racing gameplay either.

I appreciate your post and agree that the driving physics are great.

It’s unfortunate that visually the game is such an eyesore. This series used to be the benchmark for visual fidelity. I hope they can fix that.
