The physics were great at the time, the car sounds are spot on, even the car data and performance specs are fairly accurate, including nuances like active aero and all.
Visuals are great I think. I wish it had gotten a native 4k/HDR patch. T10 really ought to support their products for a lot longer.
I recently dusted off this game to āpractiseā using a steering wheel on.
I have to say that I have throughly enjoyed it and share your thoughts on devs not supporting games when newer iterations are released.
It is interesting to compare how the game is different from Forza 2023 though.
Much simpler physics modelling for car handling which makes it a far more challenging experience in my opinion
I love the car details and audio in this game. We really had it good. Wish the devs would somehow magically give us a 4k patch for this beautiful and timeless game.
Iām still at it. I havenāt done it consistently since launch became I try to only do one racing game at a time and Iāve done others in between launch and now, but I figure Iāll be in and out of Forza Motorsport (2024) for quite a while.
Despite all the melodramatic gripes against the game, itās still better than GT7. I donāt mean ātoday, after updatesā but even a year ago. I donāt know how someone can play GT7ās eight-car āracesā that arenāt races at all but overtaking challenges and then claim itās somehow better gameplay than Forza Motorsport. Iām not pretending there isnāt room for improvement, but FM 2023 isnāt given enough credit. Admittedly, sometimes I yell colorful metaphors at the AI but itās still more engaging, more compelling gameplay than starting at the back of an eight-car single-file parade strung out half a lap ahead of you.
What would be great would be a patch to add p2p multiplayer
Xbox Live is probably an issue for that but adding the capability to play friends would be awesome.
