Time to move to UE5 for the next Forza Motorsports/Horizon games. I been playing Forza Motorsports and really is lacking in graphics. Besides from that. Forza Horizon 5 is the better looking game out of both. Time to let UE5 be great for racing as well!
Unreal Engine 5 is notoriously known to be a bad choice for racing games, eg. Rennsport, EA Sports WRC, it is pretty bad performance wise and has no significant advantages over the current ForzaTech engine. I mean there is a reason why AC Evo, Project Motor Racing and many other sims don’t use UE5, it’s just a bad engine for this kind of gaming genre.
Also, Switching engines would be an insane decision to make for a studio that has no experience with any other engines than their own in-house developed engines. So if you want the next Forza to be somewhat playable at launch and have next gen graphics, then you should be glad that FH6 is going to be (not confirmed yet) using the same ForzaTech engine as FM.
Besides that, the Engine of a game doesn’t dictate its graphics, as you can see with EA Sports WRC which looks arguably worse than previous Codemasters games. It’s way more important how developers deal with an engine and how well-optimized the game is.
I honestly also don’t understand how there are people that say FM looks bad, when in reality it just looks like any other high end AAA game, also this obsession with graphics is ridiculous, there are more important things especially when the game already look way good enough.

I have asked this question before and I don’t think it’s agood idea especially considering a number of racing games are moving away from UE
I definitely have questions regarding the horizon engine compared to the motorsport engine considering there supposed to be the same
Like alot of engines it how you build upon them I feel turn 10 have invested alot of time into adding new features like tyre wear and fuel maybe small, but with speculation that the devs are short staffed or built up with contractors for short/mid contracts adding and developing more upto date function take time I suspect they don’t have,
In house engine is always better but they need time to build upon it I hope they can
