This game, man I swear..

What’s up, Snowman! Yeah, a swing and a miss for this game! I’m going to keep finding ways to enjoy it, but that in itself is going to be work. Running rivals whether in Moss’ HLC’s or just against you fast folk, painting and building/tuning drag cars has been what occupies most of my time in every Forza so far. This one, not so much. Pretty much all of the aspects of drag have been changed for the worse once again and rivals is barely a thing.

I enjoy how the cars drive and could even be ok with the homolagation thing if it wasn’t poorly thought out. I want to race the cars I enjoy, at a PI I want to enjoy them. I agree with whomever wrote about homolagation always being in the game just as the classes. I just feel like it was too big of a change all at once. Too much has been removed or “fixed” that didn’t need “fixed” and NOT enough added to what was a good base in FM6.

I’m not a developer or programmer. I don’t have the means to make a game the way I want it. If I had any resources to do that, I would in a heart beat!! Turn 10 could have hit on out of the park with this game. To me, it’s a routine pop-up. It breaks my heart to see my favorite series go the way of Call of Duty!! Loot crates and driver suits. Come on, man!!

Regardless of the game itself, glad to see you’re still kickin around here, Snowman! I’m gonna be trying to catch up to ya on what rivals we’ve got!!

Ps, I do think if you do the free play, then adjust the game setup to allow for either any PI or whatever class, pick your track, and then jump down, turn around, select test drive once your AT whichever track your wanting, THEN, yes then you can test drive. This “should” let you test your A class Lambo. I could be way wrong though. …this game!! Geez!!

Thanks for visiting.

None of this would of happened if turn 10 didn’t sell out

Mate, I hear you, FM7 is dissapointing on many levels. If it wasn’t for the mod edits I believe that your post would have been much shorter than it was. FM7 has great potential, but is yet to fulfill as such. You’re on Jack, I’m on 10yo Bushmills, who’s looking up yer’ kilt mate?!

The customization has sort of improved since fm6 but it isnt good enough

Why cant we have features such as “Making an Alfa 4C into a Touring Car, a Tuner Car, or even a rally or rallycross car.”

I also want to see Interior Desings as well such as making your own dashboard, seats and Steering wheel. Can we also have the ability to add stickers in the car, I know the V8 Supercars have stickers in the car but it doesnt have it in the game but it can possibly add that personal effect to it as well

Can we also have the ability to choise engines from more cars and also make our cars a Manual sequential or Paddle Shift and even choose the amount of gears you want to select.

As an outsider looking in, it would appear that Project Cars is the only project of the big three that actually listen to what their fan base wants changed. The other two sell too much and think they’re big enough to chart their own course. One reviewer titled their review GTS “virtual seppuku - GTS sucks.” I’ve been hearing PC2 will soon be allowing players to make/blueprint their own championship. Wish Forza would do that.

We could do it in Horizon, so I don’t see why we can’t do it in Motorsport.

I think this somes it up quite well.

I think you should take everything from Pretend Race Cars with a grain of salt though, the author likes to be hyperbolic and appears to be a bit light on PC2 since he was hired by SMS.

The storefront thing… I must have confused it with the auction house coming soon… nevertheless, it just further proves my point… All jokes aside, and in all seriousness, FM7 is a beautiful game visually, and I think it is for that reason, it’s short comings are all the more infuriating. I hate to add to the wave of negativity and As a consumer, I cannot expect a developer making a game for millions of people to cater to my individual request and expectation… But, its mind boggling that I see a large number of people asking for the same features as myself, and when they don’t show up, feel a little dejected/ignored.

To me, T10 peaked with FM4. Period. It progressed as we all thought the next entry in the series would, incorporating everything we loved about 1-3, and added new and exciting things that I know I myself was hoping for. When FM5, 6, and now 7 were released, I can’t help but notice so many features, content, and quality we came to expect and love the series for we’re slowly being eliminated. And for no explainable reason. This is what happens when you stop listening to your customers, and assume you know what they want. I’m no business expert, but I have common sense… if I want to make my kids happy on their birthdays, for holidays, I get an idea what they like, what they’d want. Come time to blow out candles and tear apart wrapping paper, they’re happy because I got them that super hero figurine instead of a toaster oven.

**new feature I unlocked today: Racing at night at Watkins glen with no headlights. I am disappoint because I did not get an achievement for completing a race in complete black out darkness…

I would be happy with a fix for the crashes to desktop on the PC… If i could actually race twice in a row without a crash that would be glorious. The rest of the missing content and bugs dont really bother me all that much because the game crashes so damn often I dont even play it anymore lol

So I see a lot of people comparing the Forza series to GT series and I am a fan of both really. I have played every Forza and every GT that has come out. And the one very noticeable thing between the two is Forza makes their games almost 2 years apart. GT, is a different thing. The first GT took 5 years to create, when Forza overtook GT, they took 5 years to make their game. Now, GT took yet again to produce a game after 5 years, and unfortunately its making different reviews but, there are some things that they have done that are a lot better than Forza which is very unfortunate. Like the GT academy, actually giving players a future for doing what they love, and now, you can get the FIA racing license through there career mode. What if Forza actually did this and the first step was the homologation? What if Forza offered academies for regular racing, or drifting, or drag racing? Would we all still mumble at the new ideas if they are just now trying to implement this into their gaming? What if we were actually put into a category where clean racing meant something and running into people hurt this and now all of us are only in a room full of people who love to ram people because they use it to their advantage and run us into someone else, giving us the penalty, are we still going to mumble? What if they made the career mode to where you were starting in E100 cars and had to do 10 series and only getting a few hundred credits a race, just so that the championship we take gives us a license so we can move from E to D class and only had access to E and D cars now. Would we still mumble? Of course people would because they want to do everything extra, well guess what, GT had that similar with the licenses. What if you couldn’t go online until you did certain things? What if we couldn’t drag unless we went to a drag school, and the same goes with Drifting. What if they did do rallying but we had to go to Rally school.

I will keep my copy of FM7 just because I like the drifting and the community, but that’s about it. I will aslo get GTS because it is a GT game and the very first that is going to be on PS4, the entire reason I bought one in the first place. If Forza doesn’t start realizing their faults and mistakes, they are going to get run out of the business like other games have for the mere of ruining their fan base. Will I buy future titles? Most likely, but after this, I will probably never pre order their game ever again.

What you will get if the FIA actually agrees to it is an “electronic” license which does nothing more than certify that you have completed what would normally be the classroom portion (ie: racing etiquette, passing requirements, pit entry requirements, track limits, etc.) of an FIA certified driving school. It would not entitle you to enter any races of any type sanctioned by the FIA. It would not waive, supersede or exempt any of the Sporting Regulations which require strict physical examination, licensing by the ASN of you country of origin (which costs real money) and a proven race driving record in your country origin in races sanctioned by your ASN.

In other words, it’s a marketing gimmick.

I got to say, this whole homologation system pretty much took away any reason to customize and tune your car. Whats the point of having the abilty to build a 700hp car than you can only use in test drive (which itself is like a minigame to find) and no where else.

In horizon 3, you can have a car at any PI, and the AI matches it. I get that its a different game entirely, but it gave you more purpose to build you car how you wanted to, and not how the game forces you to.

Turn 10, Ive been an avid fan yet you guys make it hard to justify spending money on a game that only regresses with every new installment.

That marketing gimmick gets them into real FIA online competitions and possibly into the GT Academy or more, which can mean real driving school, which can mean a real racing career vs what we have in Forza, which is pretty much nothing. GT has had success in finding real racers out there which would be awesome if Forza could implement that as well for the XB series, even having a show to have a competition between Forza and GT drivers which would get them into a racing school as teams to see who puts out the better drivers. But, Forza right now couldn’t handle that, especially with the fiasco they have now.

There is no such thing as a “real FIA online competition” and the “license” has nothing to do with the Nissan GT Academy online race competitions which are only the first of four steps required to advance to driving in a sanctioned race for Nissan. This still requires the acquisition of a real license for racing in your country of origin followed by a classed license from the FIA if competition takes place internationally.

The game is a mess.

Crashes all the time for me. Bugs, glitches.

Driveatars have taken 2 steps backwards.

The the UI presentation is crap and pointless.

The online aspect is a [Mod Edit - Abbreviated profanity, profanity and profanity that is disguised but still alludes to the words are not permitted - D] The lack of class based hoppers and Rivals is ridiculous.

Still have’nt attempted to penalise bad racers, rammers and corner cutters.

What is to blame for the majority of issues? Looot crates is the answer. They spent so much tikme messing with the game to force this crap in that everything else has suffered.

Who wants to bet that the leagues are stikl the ssame crappy ‘who has most free time wins’ crap?

T10/Forza and quality used to go hand in hand, not anymore. Then again, Xbox as a whole is getting worse under spencer.
