I don’t watch F1 anymore but I remember that when you got to P3 you had to start the race with the compound you set ur fastest lap with.
Would like that in Forza tbh. Now you almost have to qualify on soft or you start in the middle or end of the pack (unless you are 2s/3s faster then everyone else)
biggest question is why do ratings matter when one good race can take you from C safety to S lmao i have almost max driver rating and S safety and get ppl in my lobbies that just destroy ppl turn 1 on purpose to gain 13 positions
It’s because the penalty system is basically non existent. they give you 4 seconds for one tire being over the line then nothing for intentionally ramming someone into the dark realm
Why is the Single Player “career” so short? In theory, this is an easy win for them. All they have do to is have a large range of championships, with some progression in car class.
I assumed that they would swiftly and regularly be adding permanent events to the career. However, Update 2.0 doesn’t appear intended to do so and, rather than add more events utilising Yas Marina, they have instead told us that we can repeat earlier events with that track added in.
Given that the game only appears to store whether you’ve completed the event (no fastest lap or any other details), what prevents them for having large numbers of events?
I would love to see the rule to start race on tires you qualified on. Tire strategy feels almost non existent, if you even get a mid length race there’s no point in doing anything other than medium/medium or hard no pit on one of the tracks where it’s possible
You run into an immediate problem here when it starts raining just before the race. You can’t lock tyres because you don’t want players to start a race with slicks if that would mean sliding all over the place for a full lap.
I don’t want to presume about you, but that’s certainly not the kind of game I’d want to play. Though to be fair, the more time passes with that insane “progression” system, the less sure I am this is the kind of game I want to play.
You only need to level your car up to 50 if you want to tune a D or C class car to X999, engine swap or changing your drivetrain is unlocked at car level 25.
I can’t recall a time when weather has changed for me personally from qualifying to start of race. And even if it did they should make the conditions fixed from qualifying to prerace in my opinion.
I have a theory. The theory is that there are too few tracks to sustain more events.
I was hoping they’d release a new career series each week too (which they didn’t for the last two weeks), but honestly I kinda question whether I want that in the current state of the game.
I was also hoping they’d cycle the open series too or maybe even randomise it. It’s getting a little stale racing against the same German cars on the same exact tracks now.
It happens a few time in career. I think it’s best to leave the choice to the players anyways.
Beyond that, I don’t know about multiplayer, but in career there is no rce long enough to warrant anything but soft tyres anyways. Even in free play and setting to “long” race still doesn’t make it worth putting mediums.
But it’s not really an advantage when everybody has access to the same tyres and strategies. You know, provided they grinded long enough to get them.
@Jogicat While you might unlock all upgrades at level 25 now, you still don’t have the CP to use them until level 50. They did halve the requirements, but since you still get the same amount of CP as before, it still takes the exact same amount of time/levels to build the car you want.
Allowing players to qualify on soft tires but start the race on mediums undermines the competitive balance. It creates a disconnect between qualifying and race strategies, potentially rewarding or penalizing players based on a mechanic that doesn’t reflect their true performance or skills in either session.
