Things That Don't Make Sense To Me

Why is that? They allow for this in real life races too.
There was a rule in F1 that forced you to start on the same compound of qualifying, but they got rid of it. I think it’s fine to start on a different tyre than was used in qualifying.

The Open series will change to Italian cars this week, with a different prize car.

I don’t think the lack of tracks is the reason for the short career. Ultimately, there are 48 different layouts and, whilst I agree completely that there should be more, that is sufficient to sustain more than 17 championships, especially when you consider that they could easily have. some shorter championships at lower class levels.

It just doesn’t make sense to me. It’s like adjusting fuel before a race. Everytime I do this I wonder why isn’t this just the default. In terms of tires, softs can qualify several seconds faster than mediums, so if it’s not raining then why aren’t softs the default for qualifying especially given you only have 3 laps to qualify.

This is fine to do too, for qualifying you can save of some time by bringing less fuel.

On some tracks (the longer ones) the softs will only be usable for 2 laps, they will wear out halfway through the 3rd lap. On those tracks it can be safer to take a medium and have 3 chances of a lap, having 2 chances can be risky.
I don’t know why in qualifying the default isn’t set to soft and honestly I don’t mind.

As for this, the current Formula 60s Spec Series has longe races that often require 2 pitstops.
More series could use this, I fully agree on that.

I see what you’re saying. I just notice more often then not players qualifying 2-3 seconds faster then me, only for them to not stand on the podium. All because they qualify in softs then switch to mediums for the race like everybody else…

This can also be the car setup they’re running. Some people set their car up to get the best laptime when driving alone, but this can cost them when driving in a group. This often results in higher tyre wear or drivability problems when having to share the corner.
This happens to me too, but I do it on purpose. My car is setup to run better in races and not lose much time when driving in groups.
For example: Yesterday I was doing a couple of races in the TCR Spec Series, often qualifying around 7th, but ending 3rd almost everytime. I like it, having to work to gain places.

But that’s not the point at which you can really build a car, as you also have the Car Points requirement on top of that and they didn’t change those points when they moved the levels.

Generally, for road cars, I tend to find it’s between L35 and L40 before I can “afford” all the parts I want, possibly a bit later than that if I want to engine swap. I’m talking here about cars which start about B550 and I’m looking to run them as A700, not massive PI increases. Higher PI cars require less work as they have a lot of basic parts already included as stock.

It’s a bad system, which I can only assume was included in this way to force additional player time to unlock parts. It still requires substantial changes to reduce time spent, if it is not removed altogether. Once they’ve fixed the bugs, this must be their next priority.

Just to add to that, I’d have a bit more time for the system if you could massively go up levels by winning races/championships in the car. That’s an awesome incentive to actually do well using that car.

As it is, I’m still not even convinced that it properly gives you progress for overtaking cars, which it says counts towards the target but never really seems to show.

All I want is stats…why in the world are there no stats in this game? Makes no sense whatsoever! How long have I raced, what tracks, best times, trophy’s etc. Very confusing!

They say they want you to bond with and build you car, but you can not see any stats related to your loved car!
No milage, no number of races, nothing…

Simply put, game is half-assed grind made for gamepass players to grind their hours away… You don’t need any stats for that…

Given the stats that they expose to us, it’s an easy guess that the only metric they care about is total play time. User engagement isn’t important, just how long the user spends in your software. Makes it easy to see potential reasons that they haven’t patched out a lot of the issues the game has.

I have something that doesn’t make sense to me. Why in the hell is my car covered in dust during a rainy race?

Edit: could be the angle but I doubt it. Maybe I’m wrong

Edit #2: it’s not an angle thing
