As much as I appreciate T10 concentrating on stabilisation and bug fixes, my concern is that there is just not enough content, events and features available or coming in the short term to keep the player numbers up.
With the car pass finished, no new spotlight cars, no track in the next update, the same rotation of restrictive multiplayer events and lack of community interaction, there is not a whole lot to keep the casual player base incentive to play the game.
The next update is still weeks away, and I am expecting update 8 to bring some big improvements to race regs and A.I, but if that is the major aspect of the update and there is not much new to forza content or some radical other addition what’s going to keep up engagement.
As it stands we are month’s away from the next track, Car pass is finished and so far the free spotlight additions have been underwhelming and few and far between. So unless update 8 features a flood of new cars we are a long way away from much new exciting content. With the lack of communication all I can expect is more of the same sub par spotlight content. Thats not really much to offer for a supposed Live Service game.
Who knows, Maybe T10 will surprise us all with U8, But for now my outlook for the next few months is quite bleak.
I pull out my wheel maybe every second month to see what’s new. This game is so depressing.
Keep looking to see if the Oval multiplayer events have started, but it’s the constant “Coming Soon”
Hate that my wheel collects dust, but I am not going to play an inferior game until actually becomes good. Not going to add my playtime to their metrics. “Look at our player base and how long they play”
They are rolling out fixes way to slowly. I don’t think this game will ever reach AAA status. In my opinion the game is pathetic, it needs new leadership to make it a game for the players.
I could go on and on and on, but I have better things to do with my time.
I have 500 hours on this game and before release i was so excited about it that i decided to even make content about fm But now I lost all my hope. Yeah the updates have been good like bug fixing wise or in term of more stability but lack of content is soooo severe.
We now that next month there is no track. If new cars are going to be recycled cars then i will be completely done with this game. Even if they make frr or ai better with the next update, it won’t be enough and they have to consider new way of content releasing quality and quantity wise.
with how poor the content is in this game i have stopped playing it much, think ive got maybe 3 races in about a month. Its given me time to finish my backlog of completed games with good content in them.
My GPU spikes up to 100% while in the pits and during intermission for NO REASON. Then it’s back down to 70% once i’m racing. regardless of graphics settings.
They actually have an option that should make this a non-issue, but it doesn’t. The one part of the screen it says it is meant to help (reading text in menus), is false because the render is still happening and the blurred image they use to cover the render doesn’t get applied behind the menu text.
I feel kind bad making this another negative thread. The whole mood of this place is pretty low right now and this vent of mine probably wasn’t needed.
But this is just the reality of what we have to work with at this point in time.
Obviously any one that is still around here on the regular has some good will and hope, as we wouldn’t be here if we were not at least somewhat fans of the franchise.
I think most here just want to see the best for the game and are not trying to take down a franchise.
That’s not the players’ fault, and consumers have no obligation to try to paint/gaslight a false picture of positivity to help boost community sentiment for a low-quality game.
The best (& only) way to greatly improve overall community morale is to greatly improve the game.
The slower this game improves, the faster its community will bitterly shrink.
The majority of players who have stuck around have been trying to communicate with T10 to absolutely no avail. In a vain attempt to breathe life into this game. T10 has turned a virtual deaf ear to us. The voting in the the shub and thub (which we shouldn’t have to do) has been pointless. The game which was originally stated as being a platform which would allow for faster and more efficient upgrades has been a once a month sparsely upgraded fiasco. And yet a rare few players with no desire to see the game improved have the gall to call us “toxic”.
I’m not expecting anything good in the next upgrade except a few good bugs for a few good laughs.
