Well these cars are super light, and super powerful so if you imagine a plastic car, and a powerful rotation you might get some real life results.

Braking mid air to lower the nose and vice versa, is a well known and used technique amongst people that jump vehicles in real life. Its even used in RC racing.
Its all about momentum and forces. Maybe you should have listened at school.
