Switched on FM5 today, and it wants me to start a new save…what do I do ? if I start a new save then all that should be there is lost ?. After waiting 45mins AGAIN for Horizon 2 to sync I am relieved that that save is fine… Have done hard reset and all that…is there a way for force Forza to sync with the servers??

You shouldn’t lose your designs, but don’t take that as gospel.
I’ve been having issues with saves for Forza and Halo MCC this past few days, it may just be a kink in MS’s servers.
If you hang on a day or two it may right itself. Have you looked on the Xbox forums?
For synch and game save issues please report your details for forzafb@microsoft.com with the subject “FM5 Game Save.” Helios has requested the same with FH2 with the offer that someone will help.

Well, I had a reply from Helios, and he was very helpful. I’ve had to start a new gamesave, but have been helped credits wise. All my designs have become Invalid Data again, but am desperately hoping that when the system decides to sync with the server all will be returned,

I might have been lucky but here is what I did… I was also having the sync issue. it wouldn’t let me sync so I cancelled the sync and then another menu popped up and I hit cancel sync one more time. I started up a new game save knowing I was going to lose everything. the next day I turned on Forza 5 and it popped up what save you would like to use. I clicked on the old save and after 3 tries of syncing it finally went through.
Have tried allsorts, my sons gamesave syncs every time he plays 
After 10 days, Still no syncing !!!
Try removing ur sons profile on the xbox. That’s the only thing I can think of
I daren’t in case his gets messed up
